hello everyone,
I upgraded my phone to emui 9.1 and android 9 yesterday. Then I had a problem with notifications. I am using apps with App Lock (both emiu 8 and emui 9). At emiu 8 and android 8, when phone locked, notifications apper (no content, only notifications). when I unlocked the phone, I can see message content. However, after uprading to emui 9.1 and android 9, I cannot see any message content after unlocking the phone.
There is a way to see content without entering application. These are steps:
1) The application should be opened (such as Whatsapp or Messenger) and phone should not be locked.
2) Then exit from app, either completely close it or return to the home screen.
3) Now, if any messages come, I can see content, and I can reply it.
I asked this problem to Huawei customer service, and they said this feature may come with android 9 or emui 9.1.
So, I dont want to use like that. I want to use it like emiu 8. What should I do?

Same here. My P20 updated to v9 yesterday and I just can't get these notifications to show the content without being forced to open the APP.

Does Android 10's smart reply feature work on your device running EMUI 10? For me it only shows suggested actions (like open map when receiving an address) but never gave me any suggested replies. Kind of disappointed. Is there a way to make it working for text replies?
I'm extremely surprised that the very simple and straightforward features such as 'Direct dial' and 'Direct message' widgets are missing in the last 2 updates received for Mi 10. I received the Android 11 update yesterday and it's still missing. This is something we seen for nearly a decade. Unable to digest that this is missing in Mi 10.
Or am I wrong about this?

I am seeing that Android 10 Razr got an update for new options in Quick View display. i. e 8 default apps.
"The Quick View display includes easy access to eight preselected apps: Camera, Messages, Calculator, Keep, Google News, Google Home, and YouTube. But you can customize the feature so that the apps of your choice run on the display with your phone closed."
i am not seeing this in my 2019 Razr, is it only for the 2020 model? How to get this option, does anyone have it in their 2019 phone with the Android 10 update?

I found the answer myself. It will be available with the Android 11 update it looks like. Should get it hopefully by mid 2021.

Wow Android 11 mid '21. Moto used to be so good at updating their phones. They're terrible now.

You may have to disconnect and reconnect your phone with the Your phone app, If your PC Your Phone app does not automatically update then tap the gear on the bottom left of the PC app, then tap the "i" (about) and click check for updates.
Google Play System Updates:
If you weren't aware, separate Google Play system updates are released and don't always update automatically.
On SD2, go to Settings > About > Android version > Google Play system update to check for updates. My SD2 just installed the December 1, 2021 update.
