So I am having a issue with getting my work exchange email to sync to my phone. I use package disabled and the exchange service is running. I downloaded outlook and it imported my settings but will not sync my emails.. I cant think of anything else that would be causing this issue. So I am asking here for help...
thank you

I just went to check my email through the standard email app and all my exchange accounts were suddenly deleted. I'm running a completely stock Vibrant, unrooted. Anyone know what might of caused this? It's not a huge deal cause I can just set them up again and sync but putting in the settings for multiple exchange accounts is tedious.
Has anyone else using an exchange server found that after a couple of weeks the calender stops syncing both ways but has no trace of errors.
I have been using the default email app to create an exchange account which I have it sync for calenders. The calender auto syncs as soon as I have created a new calender entry or will sync a calender entry made from my laptop when the account is asked to sync again. So both ways work fine.
But I have found that after a couple of weeks the calender sync just stops syncing to the server or from the server. But there is no error in the sync menu so unsure what's going wrong. There is no problem with the exchange server as my laptop never experiences this nor does anyone else at work.
Keep in mind everything was great and no settings have changed to cause this to happen. This has happened twice now, maybe even three times.
This last time I found I accepted a meeting request with touchdown (great email app for exchange by the way) and the email was sent out that I accepted the email and the exchange server was updated as my laptop gained the entry, but it never showed up in my calender entry on my phone.
The way to fix it is to delete the exchange account from the phone and create it again for it to all work properly again.
I will try and get another meeting request to be sent to my phone where I accept it to find out whether this caused the problem... but I have my doubts.
I really hope to find some help with the problem. I can see a lot of related questions posted everywhere around the web without a solution.
It could be this is a well known problem and I just have to stop trying to fix it and wait for Samsung or Google to apply some fixes?
The problem is very simple. I have two email accounts: Hotmail and another one coming from my ISP using POP3 protocol (Home -ADSL2).
No matter what I do the Hotmail emails syncing without any problems but the other email doesn't update as per sync schedule. It works only if I sync it manually.
I have to add while my phone had 4.1.1 firmware I had both accounts auto-syncing.
Another thing is I tried enabling Auto Sync from the phone Settings>Data Usage without much effect. When it worked before, the auto sync was disabled and my Hotmail emails arrive with auto sync disabled anyway.
I really don't know what to try next. Could it be the problem with stock email client and I need to use a different client for that to work?

I just got a replacement phone, and installed my exchange account on the phone. I then got an email in the exchange account, asking if I want to sync my SMS with my account. I said yes, but it turns out to be freaking annoying. I have searched, and found instructions to disable it, but the option for SMS Sync is no where to be found. I have removed and re-setup the exchange account, but it doesn't ask me again if I want to syn SMS.
I am on a Samsung S8+ running Android 7.0. I am using the stock "e-mail" app. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hi all, new here and since Microsoft Outlook mail claims it's a Samsung issue and Samsung never answers, I hope anyone here knows what to do.
I use Outlook mail, and I had it always installed on my Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 mail app. It automatically synced my contacts and calendar also on the Samsung stock apps. Very convenient.
Now, however, it stopped working. I tried reinstalling it, but it constantly gives the message that it cannot connect to the server. I CAN set it up as IMAP, but that's obviously not what I want as it won't sync contacts and calendar.
After Microsoft claimed it was a Samsung problem I tried to set up the Outlook account via active exchange sync in the (terrible) Gmail app. Same result: cannot connect to the server.
I have used various configuration settings, incl. manual set up (eas.outlook.com, m.hotmail.com, etc.) and obviously the password is correct.
The Outlook app I now had to install does not sync calendars and contacts, by Outlooks own admission (seriously....?) so that's no option.
I want to simply connect my Samsung stick apps again to active exchange sync as it has always done. And Microsoft says its not them...
Anyone has any suggestion?
thanks!
