I see that the international s2 is able to use the samsungdive.com services (tracking, locking, and wiping lost or stolen samsung products), but ours are not able to. I am assuming AT&T has something to do with this and asked Samsung to remove it from the phone in order to force us to use AT&T's find my phone and family features. I think they cost extra too.
I am frustrated to say the least that my buddy at work is able to access these features on his international s2 as am I on my Galaxy Tab 10.1.
I tried to remove the 'Samsung account 1.0' from my tab 10.1 and restore it on my s2 but was unsuccessful in getting it to work. Anyone else want to take a stab at this? If you sucessfully enable it, there should be an option under location and security that opens up called, "remote services".
Good luck!
You really need to "Rethink Possible." Just another "enhancement" brought to you by your favorite wireless company.
Agreed.

Just for the background info i have Verizon Galaxy S6 Edge Plus. G928V 64GB Black.
I'm on build & software version OG1 or OGI is what it looks like.
because I've wanted to use find Samsung pay but I've held off all the*ota*updates waiting to see if any exploits have led to root on the s6 EDGE+ FOR Verizon.
I sideloaded the samsung Pay app and framework but when i go to run it i get the message a software update is required. Im assuming it will push through the*otasoftware-updates I've been putting it off essentially since i got the phone or 2 weeks after launch. I bought it with a contract discount but its not a financed or leases phone so i own it at least.*
My biggest concern is that i update now and lose the future possibility to root it due security loop hole. I had an S4 and i initially had mdk firmware which you could get more feautures, but without thinking when i received the phone iupdated and lost the MDK version. I just don't want to run into the same situation.
specially with having to take apart the whole phone to take out or replace battery I'm scared or running the update now and then if ivtry to root later It will brick my $750 phone.*
What do you suggest? Should i run the update the samsung pay app offers or should i run the*OTAupdates from Verizon software update menu. Then if anyone finds root or makes an6 other progress in opening up the phone.* i noticed there has been at least 2 ota
Updates ps OG4 & OG9. Im also hoping we get msrshmallow 6.0 sooner with the next*OTA*update after today's*ota*for Samsung pay support. DO you think i would run one update over another or just update to current version that was released today?
Thanks for the help in advance.

Root has been impossible even on the factory firmware that comes on the phone. Hopefully someone will find a way to disable KNOX so we could root (as it's as easy as OEM unlocking the phone through the developer options settings menu and installing a rooted firmware), but so far there hasn't been any progress...

Yeah i know on earlier versions knox could be disabled on s4 and s5. It doesn't help that not only do we have the s6 edge but the edge plus. Our phone represents such a small subset of owners it means its like million times harder to get a phone to a developer that can actually hack it/root it
So i pulled the twist so i can use samsung pay since it finally arrived in my play store as an option. After i updated the first time samsung pay still said i need to update so o updated to the most recent software OJ2.
Switching from a Galaxy s8. Installed Gear S app which prompts to Gear S plugin and also Samsung Accessory Service plugin. Once installed, phone connects to Gear s3 Frontier fine. Transfers seem to be using WiFi Direct (not bluetooth). Once configured, notifications come across fine. The issue is when you try to use Samsung Pay (from either the Gear S app on the phone or from the Gear s3). When trying to launch from Gear s3, it prompts you to check your phone. It's suppose to download/install Samsung Pay for Gear. Instead it crashes on the phone. Then, in some instances, the Gear S plugin continues to crash over and over (a pop up appears every 10 seconds or so), even after closing the Gear s3 app. Have to reboot phone or battery drains quickly.
I had to uninstall/re-install components (which resets the Gear s3) and NOT try to start Samsung Pay to get the watch to be functional.
I know that it worked on my HTC One fine (was using while waiting for LG V30 to arrive).
Is anyone else experiencing this or gotten Samsung Pay for Gear to work on the LG V30?
Thanks!
You probably won't get Samsung pay to work on a nonsamung device. But good luck to you

Works fine on my LGV20. Im waiting for V30 to arrive. Samsung may need to just push out an update. They've been surprisingly good with supporting non Samsung phones.
So I got it to work. Samsung Gear app/plugin kept choking on Samsung Pay Plug in install. Searched and found the apk. Samsung Pay for Gear 1.5.2005. Installed it and all is working!
Hope this helps someone.

It's been working on other Android devices for a long while now. Not from the phone itself, but from the Gear s3. The issue was that the Gear s3 needs an android phone to register to. Still doesn't work on iOS.
Had to soft reset my Gear S3 and it looked to hang during initial setup with the v30 -- But I set it up again and everything works (including Samsung Pay)
LG G7 Thinq and Samsung Pay
I was having the same issue. I have used SP in the past with my gear S3 with non Samsung phones and on Samsung phones. I have always got the rewards and I have had full functionality of the app using my watch only. To use the app from the phone without the watch does require it be a Samsung phone, but not for full functionality from the watch. After getting this new phone however, the watch synced up fine, but SP would not finish installing. I noticed the earlier post about installing the older version of SP, it installed and immediately told me to update to the most recent version to continue. I selected OK, and it updated and the app installed and I was able to add my credit cards and it is now working again. I found the older version I installed by searching for;

I bought mine from Samsung.com and noticed that it says "Unlocked by Samsung" on the box. I don't know if that means the device isn't actually a Tmobile unit though. Anyways, Samsung Pay doesn't work for me. When I install it from Okay I Store, it says this device isn't compatible. When I install it from the Galaxy App store, it tells me a new update is available and the new features are "Brand new UX" and when I press OK, it just closes the app. Is it just because the phone isn't officially released yet or is it a software issue? Thanks.
If it says unlocked by Samsung you do not have the TMobile version.

Mine is SMG965U1ZKAX. I ordered a T-Mobile Midnight Black S9+ From Samsung.com. Everything about it seems like it's an unlocked model. I don't even get the T-Mobile splash screen when I reboot the phone. If it really is the unlocked version, I'm guessing that model hasn't been updated to support Samsung Pay yet. I'm not sure if it's a good thing or a bad thing that I got the unlocked version instead of the T-Mobile version.
I went back to my order receipt/emails and checked to make sure I even ordered the T-Mobile model. Turns out, it's the Unlocked model. I know for a fact I chose the T-Mobile option but I guess not. Was the Unlocked S8+ compatible with Samsung Pay?
If you do not have a T-Mobile folder with T-Mobile apps on your phone, it means is not from T-Mobile.

I'm having the EXACT SAME ISSUE, but I'm on the unlocked U.S. version direct from Samsung on AT&T. It's been driving me crazy. Made the rounds on both AT&T's and Samsung's customer service phone lines and online chats. No help.
Any solution?

Mine is SM-G965UZKAXAA.
Turns out I do ha e the unlocked model. Haven't found a solution for samsung pay yet, though.
You guys probably have to wait for actually launch date I'm pretty sure this happened with the note 7... They don't push all updates unfortunately until launch dates for some services. So I'm sure within the next 3 days it'll be updated to support the unlocked variants

What doesn't work? My app launches and it allows me to sign in and add a card. I have not tried to use it as of yet. My phone is unlocked Coral Blue and has a Verizon SIM in it. I got the phone at 1030 and turned it on. About an 1 hour ago a update came. I didn't add Samsung Pay until after the update.
I got my unlocked from Samsung S9+ delivered today (3/14). With a Verizon SIM I was able to add a card to Samsung Pay and use it successfully at Best Buy.

Here's a link to a screen shot I took of the issue. It says Not compatible. It only shows this if I download from the Play Store.

I get this when I install from Galaxy Apps. When I press the OK or Cancel button, the Samsung pay just force closes. There's no updates for Samsung Pay in the Galaxy App store or the Play Store either.

I did get a software update this morning which I installed, but Samsung Pay still gives me the same errors. I called Samsung Pay Support a few hours ago and the guy basically said it's a known issue with the S9 and S9+ and that there should be an update pushed out "Soon" that'll fix it. Other than a factory reset, I think my only option is to wait. I'd rather not reset my phone unless I absolutely have to because I hate getting things set up again, lol.
Edit: I should probably add, I can't even set up Samsung Pay. I get those error messages any time I try to launch the app.
There's an update in the Galaxy App store and it's working for me now. Another user on reddit let me know about it.
Hi everyone, this is my first post on this forum and I really need some help.
I purchased my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 from Samsung.com just a little over a year ago. I ordered the T-mobile version of it from them since we had been using T-mobile for years. But recently we decided to make the switch to Xfinity Mobile. I had already checked on the Xfinity website to make sure my phone's IMEI was compatible and it was. And since Xfinity Mobile uses Verizon's cell towers, I checked if my phone's IMEI was compatible with Verizon, and the said it was as well on their website with "Nice, your SAMSUNG GALAXY NOTE9 NVZW will work on our network."
So today when we went to the Xfinity retail store to make the switch and get the rest of the family new phones (since they all has the S7 edge which was not compatible) they checked my phone's IMEI number and it showed compatible, but they had me put in a Xfinity Mobile sim card just to make sure and that is when the headache began. I got a message on screen saying "Network Lock This device can be remotely unlocked if eligible. Please use the Device Unlock application to unlock the device. Make sure the device has internet connectivity to the Device Unlock application. "
I already my Note 9 permanently unlocked thru the t-mobile app a couple months after purchasing this phone a year back. I called T-mobile and they said it looked unlocked on their end and they couldn't find any reason why it wouldn't work and transferred me to Samsung Customer Service, who said they can't think of any reason for the problem but told me the nearest Samsung Care location was literally walking distance from the Xfinity store. So I went there, and the Samsung Care guys told me that it could be a hardware lock and that they could trying flashing a rom for Xfinity Mobile if they can find it, but there is always the brick risk. I had them check the warranty status and it literally expired one week back....fml.
I tried a factory reset, but still getting the same message. Would appreciate any and all advice on what to do from here.
