mate 10 pro screen repair/replacement - Huawei Mate 10 Questions & Answers

Hey folks, I'm hoping you might be able to help me out here. I cracked my screen and contacted Huawei support for help. Because I purchased my international version outside of markets they support, they're not willing to help, in any way. I wasn't even trying to get it fixed for free and was willing to pay for a fix but still, no luck. Can anyone here speak to how difficult it is to repair this on my own or refer me to a reputable company that's willing to do this via mail?
I'm based in the SF Bay Area and my research has lead me to online replacement digitizers/screens for roughly $205 usd but I'm not sure about the quality or reliability of these parts (https://www.witrigs.com/oem-lcd-screen-with-digitizer-for-huawei-mate-10-pro-titanium-gray).
Any help or referrals is greatly appreciated!

Wow, sorry to hear that. I cannot recommend you to do it by yourself, it's very hard and most likely you will lose the water resistance...

If anyone knows where I can get one online or is willing to sell theirs (I know most people don't like them anyway) then please post here or PM me.
Thanks

I have posted mine on Ebay (230421747956) and set it for international shipping from Phoenix Az.
You can buy originals on ebay and you can get it shipped for less than 10 USD.

Cost of etting a X10 repaired

I can’t imagine the answer to this is going to be cheap but does anyone know how much it costs to get the mobo fixed/changed on an X10i outside of warranty? I am in the UK so would like prices from Britain but experiences from any where most welcome. Also any recommendations for a reputable repairer would be good.
At the moment I am getting only one reboot a day so I can live with that but if (when most likely) it gets worse I would like to know my options.
If you don't mine me asking why is it outside of warranty?
As you get 2 years as standard on this handset.
I do not have the receipt as it was bought second hand and I am pretty sure SE require this.
Depends... In Aussie here it would cost like at least 20$ fire a phone repair, which in GB would be like at least 10 dollars. Depends if it is a software problem or hardware problem or software problem. If hardware expect around couple of hundred dollars.
Sent from my X10i using XDA Premium App
Had a couple of quotes, one firm thinks it is a software issue but I don't think so. Another firm (mobilerepaircentre.com any experience of these gladly welcome) are quoting £52.50. So not to bad - IF they fix it that is.

Help information required regarding online Purchase

hi all,
i want some help from you guys. i am from pakistan and i want to buy samsung galaxy s3 i was wondering on net and thier i found a company named "WiseBuy ltd" here is company information link http://www.cdrex.com/wisebuy-ltd-3815393.html
its says there are registered and not a fraud. and the cost to buy galaxy s3 is about 400$ .which i found 30% cheap from my country. but actualy i am afraid of online fraud and want to know what should i do? how i can trust that company? is there any one from stadfordshire England can confirm this company for me plzz? i shall be very thankfull to you.
ye, even i found one guy called hassan who said he is selling Galaxy S3 for 470$. I asked him for his company's certificates and proofs. he showed me some certificates but i still don't trust such things. On asking one of my blogger friend, he said he has such legit deals on past but he doesn't trust them fully.
I hope that can help. Whatever you do, make sure you don't get scammed. And don't buy it without warranty.
You should ask yourself why someone is selling the most in demand phone for 30% less.
Pretty much all the information you need is on the link you posted. The business is dormant meaning it hasnt been doing much at all for the last financial year either minimum trading or non at all. I wouldn't be giving them my money.
Im guessing they dont actually have their own website either. Ask yourself what sort of company won't even provide their own website in this day and age?
ok fine thank you all. i would not be dealing with him. i m much afraid of scamm but kindly provide me some trusted dealer's link from whom i can purchase galaxy s3 reliably and cheaply!!
Hello
Sadly you will not find this phone cheaply for at least a few weeks.
This is the most in demand phone at the moment, so the retailers will not sell for less then RRP.
Maybe if you wait a few weeks and try again from reputable shops ?
It will be the best way to buy it without the fear of being scammed

Best place to buy an online display/touch replacement

Hello,
I've managed to crack my screen (jut took the phone out of my pocket), and of course, Sony blame me for this, so they won't honor the warranty. No matter if I showed them the pages where Sony is repairing this screens for free on other parts of the world.
They want to charge me $600 USD, so obviously I'm trying to buy a new display/lcd combo online, where I can find prices varying from $150 to $250 USD. The problem with this approach is that most of the vendors are not well known for me, so I don't know if they are worth of my trust.
Do any of you have a recommendation for an online vendor?
Thank you very much for your help. I've been without my phone for one month now, and I really miss playing with it.

I haven't personally used it but try etradesupply, they're selling the Z ultra display for $204.
Erica Griffin from Youtube has used them so at least they are trustworthy i guess if she recommended them.

Question Force SIM unlock S23 Ultra (I know its possible I am trying to figure out the how)

Good morning all,
I have an S23 Ultra Spectrum and I'm trying to see if anyone knows how to force SIM unlock the phone thats willing to tell me how.
I know its possible as I just had it done to my wife's Fold 4.
I was skeptical at first (and Em not discussing who and what service as I think thats a violation of rules) but I payed the money through PayPal for the protection. He literally remoted into my computer (Really just in a vm in case he did something screwed and I could just blow it away) and from my computer was able to run a few programs and commands and with some assistance on my end with the phone physically My wife's fold 4 is now on T-Mobile even though we weren't eligible for Spectrum unlock due to the 60 or 90 days or whatever the time frame is.
He cant be the ONLY one out there who knows how to do this. Can anyone help out here.
Unfortunately no we can't help you. Not only can we not discuss services or people that offer this service, we can't help you circumvent the carriers rules because that is breaking their ToS and likely illegal in some jurisdictions.
This community is so frustrating. The one community that has the collective knowledge and know how yet absolutely nothing (that can actually help people) can get accomplished due to "policy".
I purchased my phone outright. I own it. Who cares about a multi-billion dollar corporations money grab scheme over property I own. So frustrating. If this community cant can someone point me in the right direction of a community that can or is that against policy too.
Next time just buy a carrier-unlocked phone...
If it's paid in full, pay for the base $14 Spectrum plan for 60 days, and they'll unlock it for you.
