The other day I was using my s9+ I had screen rotation on, home screen portrait only turned off and was just playing as round with it. About 10 minutes into it I dropped phone( about 3 inches) to the floor and picked it up upside down.
My home screen was also upside down. I'm 100% certain of this because my charger was at the top while my navigation was under it, and my home button was towards the bottom
All day i was able to get it to flip 360 degrees either direction
Turned off auto rotation, back on and it stopped..ant idea if theres a setting?

Has anyone else have a slight tilt in there screen and theb black paint near the back or menu buttons chip off? Plus did any widgets look f'ed up for a little?

Well, my first 3d had the power button half stuck down. Luckily got that one replaced a couple minutes after leaving the store. Now my second one has something broken inside the screen? Left it off for a while after installing a Zagg screen protector, and the screen was borked when I turned it back on. It has light leak around the bottom and the lower right portion off the screen is dim. The whole screen flickers as well. Not off to a good start. Maybe I was just lucky with my Evo, only had a speaker problem. Wtf.
If you open a 3d video on youtube with the 2d-3d toggle switch positioned at 3d, pause the video (to let it buffer to full) then let the phone go to sleep for >3 minutes, you can't wake the phone up using the power button. i tried this multiple times, and had to reset the phone each time. this happened to anyone else? toggle switch at 2d position (with 3d video let to buffer) and youtube 2d videos don't cause this.
Is anyone else having an issue with phantom taps on the screen. I know sometimes my screen will pull up the keyboard and start typing. Or if I am scrolling a web page it will think i'm zooming. Or if I go to click and hold a link in dolphin it will just click.
yeah while browsing i had the same problem, maybe some bug that will be crushed after an update.we have to bare with this in the meanwhile.
I'm reading on other forums like the Nook that a screen protector may help fix this.
Plugged in?
Does this only happen when the flyer is plugged in? I had this problem when I was trying to use the flyer while it was plugged in and it just started doing as it pleased. The first couple of times it freaked me out! It just started typing crazy stuff and started navigating from screen to screen as it saw fit every time I went to touch the screen. I thought it was demon possessed (some kind of ouija tablet), but I didn't call a priest I just unplugged it and all was well with it's formerly possessed soul.
.
I have a problem when It's plugged into the power. Scrolling pages sometimes zooms and buttons can activate if my finger is just close to them.
In some countries like here in the UAE, the combination of badly earthed mains, leather-soled shoes or bare feet on tiled floors and a very sensitive capacitive screen causes strange tap response.
Ever held a charging phone or laptop and felt a slight electric buzz??
I usually find if I clean my screen and remove any finger grease, it tends to work fine after that.
Also, even if not on power, I have found a problem with tap and hold (say to trash icons) that if you press the screen too hard, the hold does not 'hold' ... If you use a light tap it works fine.
Large finger surface area on hard press seems to confuse it.
It happens when it's not plugged in.
My screen was so sensitive it would open apps, etc. even when my finger was 1/2" away from the screen. It was frustrating. Cutting down one of the matte, anti-glare screen protectors I had left after I returned my Galaxy tab solved the problem.
I bought some screen protectors of Amazon... Thanks for the input... its the only downside to this thing :-D
I've had my T-Mobile HTC One for about two weeks now. Maybe 4-5 days ago it started to auto-dim the screen very quickly (after only a few seconds) and then a few seconds later it shuts it off, and I have to unlock it. This has gotten highly annoying. Under the display settings I have auto brightness off, and the auto sleep turned off as well (currently set to 15 seconds). Is this a software issues, or possibly faulty sensors?
I also have a couple other minor gripes with the hardware, namely the sleep/wake button is slightly depressed on the right side meaning it takes more effort if I push it on that side. I can push the left side no problem. This makes me nervous as I'm afraid this button may get stuck and it's the only way to turn the screen on/off since this phone lacks a "home" button like the GS3/4. I'm thinking more and more that I may need to just get a replacement, but I don't want a refurb. Any input would be appreciated.
Hi guys,
Recently, I was using this tablet to play a video under "Stamina mode" and all other energy saving features turned on in Settings/Power Management and discovered a phenomenon that I don't know previously.
A phenomenon was observed, the display shuts itself off at random times when and only when the device is being held up-side-down.
Turning off "Stamina mode" and this phenomenon does not reappear.
I can not think of any reason why this should occur and not when the device is held in any other orientation.
This tablet's screen can be turned on/off with a magnet in cover.
However, if the user decides to relax and use the tablet while up-side-down, I don't see the intelligent side of this in Stamina mode while device is held up-side-down.
Really, try it out on your tablet, this phenomenon is hysterical and quite annoying.
Do you use the tablet up-side-down?
And do you think this is a reasonable feature?
My device doesn't show this behavior.
yes i have noticed it i thought i was going mad.... but i have repeated it several times.. i quite often rest the tablet upside down under my nose to watch the tv then i flip it back up and the screens turned off.!! i thought i must have bumped the power switch or something, but I've repeated it several times now... very odd if is a feature. it's like flip to sleep or something...
i just had a thought maybe in stamina mode it turns this on.... flip to turn off or it's the eye ball tracking thingy when it can't see you looking at the screen it turns it off.....
just had a look in display settings its called smart back light control. but its not turned on.. so it's not that.
must just be the tilt sensor is enabled to turn the screen off when it's tilted flat on it's face..

I have experimented with this several times. It depends on whether or not the device has moved or stationary.
Since, this only happens face down, so it is annoying.
So, it's like telling you not to lying on your back to watch a Firework show using Stamina mode for example.
If you lay the device face down on a table using Stamina mode it will turn off the screen shortly after obviously to save energy.
And if it is held up-side-down it turns off the screen randomly as it detects no motion. So, the user isn't likely to continuously shake the device while looking at the device up-side-down for any reason.
I have my lock screen to always be on. Half the time it isnt on till i pick it up and other times its dim. Anybody having trouble with this???
mine is on but I'm doing it on the side where edge is...
