Need Help Rooting Gionee P5L - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Phone Model - Gionee P5L
Chipset MediaTek MT6735
Graphics MaliT720 MP2
Processor Quad core, 1.3 GHz, Cortex A53
Architecture 64 bit
Ram 1 GB
OS Android v5.1 Lolipop
I can't seem to root my phone. Tried various One-Click apps and other methods such as rooting via a computer, but alas they have failed to root my phone.
Some people suggested that unlocking bootloader first would solve my problem. So I proceeded to unlock my phone's bootloader which caused my phone to go into a bootloop. So again trying to fix bootloop I flashed my phone's original stock rom. Again which caused my phone to be bricked, the hard kind. (had one ****ty day :laugh.
(Above paragraph in case you guys wanted to know, and I'm kinda new here and I'm not sure if this is the place to ask a question. Please inform me if I need to move this post elsewhere)
Now, the question.
Please help me root my Gionee P5L without unlocking bootloader as I'm afraid it might break my phone again. And please suggest softwares or apps that I should give a go to root my phone.
Apps and sofwares I have tried so far includes Kingoroot, Kingroot and Iroot. And also someone who had a similar phone as I do tried other apps like Frama but they still don't work.
Thank you

It solved. It was happening for an application which has taken the "display over the other applications" permission. I turned off that particular permission & it solved.
Thanks for your help

How to root please?
Also, anyone know how to reflash this models firmware?
I think I stuffed 1 of them up trying to root.

Hi there !
I have started a new thread on how to root spreadtrum devices here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2165554
May be you could find a way to root yours.
I also need you to test an idea to root them, but I'm not sure if it will work.
Because you already have a bricked one, you can try this idea without risking your device (and maybe unbrick it by doing a backup of the others one and flashing this backup on it.)
How have you bricked it precisely ?

Hi there, I recently got my hands on a Mobicel Titan, and after much unclear research, the best I can come up with is that it is a Spreadtrum SC6820a phone, hope I am on the right track. Anyway, my goal is to change the ROM on this phone as the software that Mobicel has bundled on their version of Android is way too much for the phone to handle. I have already rooted the phone using Z4Root successfully. Funny enough, the link you have is the very link I tried for the past week, I've tried ADB and Fastboot on both Windows 8 64bit and Ubuntu 12.10 64bit, and even ResearchDownload, all drivers were installed successfully, but when i try all methods to flash new ROM to the device, nothing seems to happen, even if I use ResearchDownload and follow instructions to the T, flash process doesn't start. After using fastboot to update CWM from Ubuntu 12.10, if I try to restart into recovery mode, it is then stuck on the Mobicel Logo. Is there a guide for the Mobicel Titan?

[Q] Prestigio PAP5400 DUO rooting & firmware downgrading help

Hello,
I'm having a problem with rooting Prestigio PAP5400 DUO smartphone. I had recently updated it to the newest firmware and later tried to root it with various software. SRSRoot couldn't do that, tough it showed, that previous firmware was rootable, so I am asking if whether it is still possible to somehow root it or can anyone help me with downgrading, there are firmware versions to download from official support page, but no idea how to downgrade and if it's even possible. The main reason why actually need rooting is to increase RAM thrue Ultra speed SD card, since quad core and 512 Mb RAM ain't exactly the best couple... Perhaps there is somethig else do that without the RAM managment software and root acess. I don't know if 125-50 or less free RAM is normal, since the aren't a lot of apps in it, and even if i clean them, they tend to restart sometime after, I don't want to uninstall them tough, just more RAM and for that I need solutions for the previous requests. Would be good enough to know if there is an expert that can solve these problems.
Prestigio PAP5400 DUO rooting
Upgrade, don't downgrade it and use Kingo Root. Mine is v.1.0.18. Be sure that your driver is instaled properly first. I don't think you can incrase RAM because stock kernel doesn't support Swap. Anyway I may be wrong.
Good luck.
Thank you, i used VRoot and it worked, got full root, still, you are right about swap memory, the stock doesn't allow it, still the cell phone is now significantly faster and less lag occurs due the privileges of having root acess for some cell managment apps. Just be careful if using VRoot, it also seems to behave as a spyware, probably China's intension
help!

[Q] [P780] KingUser factory "rooted" (partially) 4GB JB phone looking for full root
Hi all,
I tried the rooting process described here but just bricked my phone because it wouldn't start or my computer wouldn't even detect it anymore. Fortunately, I was able to un-brick it with the files I had from the seller.
This phone came with KingUser, multi-language and has Google Play pre-installed. Unfortunately, even with KingUser saying the phone has root, it doesn't. I can't use Titanium backup for instance. Root Checker reports also that it's not rooted. The seller assured me that flashing with them will give me full root privileges but all it does it return it to the state it came to me a week ago:
SP_Drivers_v1.4
ROM Lenovo P780 MTK6589 163733 multi language firmware - 2014111\1P780_20130723 (v3.1324.0.177)
(I'm still grateful for those files because they saved the day as I was able to get my phone to a working state again.)
Would someone has some advice on a rooting process that could work for this phone and these specs?
Lenovo P780
Android 4.2.1
Build P780_S136_140306
MTK Quad-core 1.2GHz
RAM 1GB
Memory 2.4GB
Total Memory 4GB
Kind Regards

[Q] Where can I find recovery.img ?

Hello
I own a brand new Condor Allure M3 shipped with Android 8.1 (It has project treble). It has 4GB RAM and has a Mediatek Helio P60 (MTK6358) CPU. It is not rooted. The bootloader is unlocked too. I'm wanting to install TWRP on it, so I'm searching to get the recovery.img. I searched on Google how to do it and it asks to use adb and to make "cat /proc/mtd". After doing that, the file does show nothing, only the size etc... thing, so I don't know how to extract it.
I read that there is a way to root devices using MediaTek CPU, and I also read about Project Treble (my phone does have it).
Please help me installing TWRP or rooting it, it will be a big step.
Thanks !
UP please

Archos 45c Titanium, ¿Spreadtrum processor?

Hello everyone.
Before explaining my problem, I must apologize for my english (I'm from Argentina).
I have to say I'm confuse.
My grandfather gave me a phone he didn't use (because mine died), an Archos 45c Titanium with lots of viruses (old people way of use I guess), so I tried to root with Kingo in order to clean it, but it got bootloop and it's not going further of the logo screen and stay vibrating forever. So I googled for instructions to flash it and found the stock rom (archos 45c titanium MT6572) and SP Flash Tools, MTK drivers and even ADB drivers. But couldn't manage to get my phone detected by SP Flash Tools so I started a quest searching for the right driver (and a lots of ways to clean my driver library in Win 10), but none of the older or newest versions of MTK/ADB/CDC/VROM drivers managed to detect my phone, not even by adding legacy hardware. Until I found Spreadtrum drivers that I installed with no much hope, but they worked perfectly. So I googled if there's any version of archos 45c with Spreadtrum processor (most of them say MT6572), and I found just a couple of web with specification for an Archos 45c Titanium with SC7731 Spreadtrum processor.
My question is... Is this even possible? xD Maybe I just mess up everything good in the world and now I'm hallucinating... or is it my phone really that rare? And more important, anybody knows where I can find a .pac stock rom for a device wich is suposse to be MT6572? If not, can I use another stock rom for another archos 45 Spreadtrum series?
Thank you in advanced.
