Another question about slow-mo camera? - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

Every time I shoot something in slow-mo, I go to watch the video and it has some random lame song attached to it. I've looked through camera settings for a way to turn that off, but I can't find anything. Can I not just shoot my video without adding music to it? (What a concept!)

[Q] Video Playback on DJ steve Rom orientation sideways?

I am able to record videos on my streak in 720p but when I play them back they are sideways. I realize now that I am suppose to record them in landscape mode and not in portrait mode. Is there a way to fix the orientation on the videos I have taken?
They play on a pc or facebook the same way sideways. I cannot figure out how to rotate them. I tried a converter but it wanted to change it to AVI and when I played it back it was at double speed.
Any suggestions?
Thank you
forgive me and the thread title. It is not an issue with DJ Steve's excellent roms!
on the pc/linux I use avidemux, its free, may take 5 mins to get the hang of, but will rotate as needed
I tried Avidemux and couldnt figure out how to do a rotate. I searched the wiki and got these plugins and stuff. A little to complicated unless I am missing something.

[Q] Portrait Mode Camcorder- Stutter & Upload Issues

I noticed two weird things this evening after recording an HD video clip in portrait mode (2D). For starters, where in the world is the upload option? I don't see it popping up like I do when I have the camcorder in landscape mode. If I am unable to upload this in the same manner, can you think of anyway I can still do it?
Second, this is weird. Whenever I play the video back it stutters quite a bit. Now, it doesn't always stutter the whole way through, but it always does it at the beginning. I took some more sample clips, and I couldn't replicate this problem in either recording or playback. Here's the strangest part, though: When I went to trim the video, in review mode the entire thing played back without any issues at all! Still, it has the issues in full-sized playback, but in the preview mode for video timmer it played without a single hitch. What gives?!

[Q]-Posting YouTube videos from Eris

I recently tried posting a video to YouTube that was taken from the standard camera app on my Eris. When posted to YouTube, the audio codec is messed up. Normal speech comes out massively garbled and then the audio cuts out about a minute in. I converted the 3gp file to an avi on my PC but it comes out tilted 90 degrees when I do that. Does anybody know of a way of sharing a video to youtube and have the audio work properly?
I had the same problem. The only thing i found that fixes it was to just delete the video and upload it again. might take a couple times to fix though. somebody might have the issue solved.....i usually upload through my gallery and not the youtube app, i dont have any problems when uploading from there
I did the exact same things. I even took the file down to my PC and uploaded it from there. It seems like YouTube is not supporting the file format. It plays fine on the phone and plays fine on my PC using quicktime. I uploaded the original video several times and another one and the problem kept happening. I'm also uploading from the gallery by clicking share>YouTube. Any other ideas>
ok here is what i have found out. with my stock video recorder - the sounds comes in for split second then the video just stays on a single frame and doesnt move but the video bar on bottom shows its playing. So then i tried with the Miui camera app i have installed - it plays the video just perfect BUT with no sound. Right now im looking into apps on the market to replace the stock camcorder, found one but it forcloses on me after recording. Its called "anCorder" try it out it might work for u. I know for a fact that the app called "videocam Illusion" does upload to Youtube and does upload just great with no problems.
Thanks Ricky. I will try those.
Ancorder definitely FCed just as you end your video recording. Videocam illusion did great in a small upload test. I noticed the format was .mov instead of .3gp so I think that helped.

Cannot record 4k outside of default app

Hey, I've tried various apps and discovered that every time I select 4k video record in an app outside of the default, it always comes out 1920X. Is there anything I can do? Will rooting the video fix this?

Video camera for recording reactions to on-screen videos

My use case: The tablet will mostly be idle, sitting on a table. I may pick up the tablet to show someone a video. ONLY when I pick up the tablet to show the video, I want to record a "reaction video" via the "selfie" camera.
What I don't want is an hour or two of video that's shooting nothing.
Are there any apps that are good for this?
Bump? Any ideas?
Starting with Android Nougat you can launch 2 apps at once: In the outlined scenario both the videoplayer and the camera app.

Would that require a split-screen? I want to have a full-screen video player, with a video-camera app "invisible".
I'm not sure if there's a video-camera app that can do that, in addition to only recording when I'm showing a video.
Basically, I think I want to "pin" the video player app, so I can open that with a button-press, and also have that (or motion detection? or something else?) start the video-camera recording.

To achieve this I guess you've to create such an app at your own.
