@sd_shadow Hi, can the navigation bar be replaced with gesture navigation like with the zenfone 5z. I think it should have it especially with the latest update if there are any yet for this device.
I am planning to get it since it's already launched in China for the price of 5999 RMB. My only fear is not being able to install the Google play store. I hope it comes with the Google play store installed or able to at least.

I know i can install a custom app to do that but i want it built in by the phone manufacturer, all major brands have a version of gesture navigation by now except for Samsung, Lg and HTC. Check this video to see Asus implementation: https://youtu.be/FnFpsk11WtQ?t=76

Just an update, after seeing an up to date Chinese review of the phone with the latest build. It turns out that there is an option to enable the gesture navigation. Which is great the navigation seems smooth with no signs of lag.
P. S: I have already ordered my unit , hopefully it will arrive in less than 2 weeks time.

That wont work, I have tried the latest versions of those apps already. You will also need google contacts sync and Google Calendar apks added to the list. I think the issue is with ASUS they need to provide the exact suitable versions needed for all apps, also the order of installation is important. GSF should be installed last otherwise you will be bombarded with undisappearing pop up messages. The only way of resolving that would be with a system reset.
If anyone has a Taiwanese model, it would be great if they provide us with the exact version numbers for all apks.

I have downloaded the versions you listed i even installed Google Contacts Sync which i exported from the WW rom version. Still nothing seems to work.
As stated in a previous post the current CN rom version doesn't support Google sevices(Confirmed by an Asus representative). We will have to wait for the next update to get the support as promised.

If you get the chinese version. It's priced at 5999 RMB(882 USD) without shipping costs. In the box you get:
1. Phone.
2. Charger adapter and cable.
3. AeroActive cooler accessory.
4. Manual & Sim card pin.

You mean the official case from Asus. Yes it's part of the accessories offered for the phone, but it's very expensive(65$ USD) and currently it's offered only in Taiwan if i am not mistaken.
