hi, i know there is topic about using HDR in YT. But, if you don't see HDR option in YT quality settings, check your screen resolution in phone settings- it only works in WQHD+

If YOU know there's already a topic about this subject, WHY starting this new one?
There is no info about that issue
actually you are wrong, with all due respect.
this was discussed many months ago.

So after lots of exchanges with the developer, i finally have RAW image capture working in Yureka.
It is still in beta, and the steps to download is long (for now), but hey raw capture and editing is pure joy and we can get great results and details out of our powerful camera.

what other explanation do you need?
also the dev at the g+ page is very helpful and does reply to all sort of queries.
Bluish tint and low quality
Sadly there is a bluish(sometimes greenish) tint and that is not light but too much. Any way to capture raw with normal colours? Also the quality is even lower than the jpegs captured with stock camera app.

can you post your settings?
also you should post the dng files on G+ page where the developer can take a look at it
I dont need the dngs.
The green is because of the missing colormatrix. But it can easy fix with awb tool in ps and rawtherapee or every other app wich can read dngs.
It would be usefull when the thread starter update it and make his knowledge for all users avail.
Its not good to point all problems to me.
I get bored when answering 20 times the same question and user get stupid answers or im just ignore them.
Its not my problem when people dont know how to process the taken raws. The quality can be worse when you dont know it.
Im thinking about to remove rawsupport in freedcam for all devices wich use the neutral matrix... Then its limited to g2/g3/m9 devices.

Ouch. ...i knew that the color tint can be fixed but i didn't know how to do that. No prob i will check youtube. What about the quality? Is something wrong with the settings?

the preview is in dark conditons always a bit noise. for raw capture use iso 100 in all light conditions. it reduce the noise heavy. the exposure can later increased when its to dark.
also turning off wavlet-denoise can decrase the noise

We don't have a powerful camera like one+one and the raw output is expected to be noisy as no noise reduction algorithm is used.
Although FreeDcam has options for noise reduction and what not, i would rather do that in an external software. this is the reason why we are capturing in raw right?
With RAW you will get much more lighting information and thus edit should be much better.
Also try to use manual control available like adjusting ISO etc. Google should be your friend. Enjoy!
A'ight. Didn't want you to take it as a "complain" xD ..Thanks for the info though. @abhi can you tell me what is the expolock button for? to lock exposure ?

with that you can lock the camera ae routine. that means you can point into the sun lock the exposure and the cam does not change it until it gets released.
it can be used to trick the camera shutter time.
as sample when you want to have a longer exposure time at night. aim with the cam to a dark point or lay it to the ground and lock the exposure. then point to the scene you want to shoot.
the same trick can be done for a faster shutter speed. for that lock the expo into a light (sun or simliar)
No raw format found
In the given method only jpg and dng are available as picture format!

ONLY H870
Maybe you noticed, our Device didn't show the [email protected] Option on Youtube, only the 1440p Option if the Video was uploaded as such Resolution (or higher) but only at 30 FPS. LG/Google must have disabled the [email protected] Option on G6, so for enabling the [email protected] Option, you have to edit the build.prop (Root Essentials or Build.prop editor) and go to "ro.product.model" change the H870
to a product model that is allowed to play [email protected] like H930 (LG V30). At the end it should be something like : ro.product.model=LG-H930, reboot the Phone and you should be able to play at [email protected]
Enjoy
Thanks to @EvilHowl for helping me there.
What about 4k on LG G6 ?
and don't forget changing the model can stop the vibration
I haven't tried [email protected] but it should be fine I think? If it's disabled, just change "ro.product.model=LG-H930" to "ro.product.model=LG-H850" (LG G5) since that supports [email protected] About the Vibration, it still works fine for me (On H930, don't know about H850)
I have [email protected] with my H870S, nothing edited no root.
So it's only a problem on H870, editing thread

Hey. I managed to get 1440p 60fps running on my G6 in modified YouTube app. But still none of the videos has HDR option. Am I doing something wrong or is that Google's/ YouTube fault?
Go to settings/vanced settings and hit about several times to enable hidden menu. Then in in code override use galaxy s8+. Boom, hdr in YouTube ?

Check this video - https://youtu.be/2RIDhA9c8qw If you've setted everything right under Vanced Settings - Codec Override, you should see HDR caption in resolution change menu.
Thanks for the tips for the hdr. I just had to hit Refresh and restart in the settings for the hdr to take effect. Now it shows hdr next to the resolution. One thing is that there is no notification about the hdr modes available when playing hdr content like when you play the preloaded video in g6.

Because those are Dolby Vision.
Hi,
as the title suggests there is no option for recording at those resolutions.
Any ideas?
They are still there; select 'resolution' in settings/video - rear video size

Thing is that you can do it only for the first option.
Is there any way to do it for the others?
It doesn't look like, sorry. Only the 16:9 resolution has the option.
I recently updated to 9.0.0.206 and expected to see the AI Color Mode for photos which should be there since .195:

However, I don't seem to find it anywhere in the camera app. Did someone have more luck?

Just to clarify - I'm not talking about AI color in video, that's there and working for quite some time now, but specifically, since 9.0.0.195 the same capability should work also for taking photos (as per the XDA link in opening post)

Thank you, I wasn't aware that you can take picture while recording! However, when you do it, the photo taken doesn't have the AI colors, it's just regular photo as I just tried
waited feature worried now
im on .187 firmware c432 from Portugal
i have heard of this ai photo feature and i was waiting for it because i think it would be amazing.
i read what ai photo is in i was expecting this in .195 firmware.
if OP does not have this feature what does this mean?
is this a asian feature only?
is the feature in more like macro mode and OP havent seen this?
im fallowing this
You can simulate this by taking a photo in aperture mode, view the photo in the gallery app, click on the aperture icon then select filters then mono. Sets the background to B/W and the main focus image stays colour.
Anyone else noticed that when using original camera app and recording a video (I tried it in 4k but I assume it is same in other mods) when you switch off the sound in camera settings then the sound is still recorded??? I tried to toggle it but no matter on or off it is still recorded...
Another bug is that on the bottom of the camera settings there is an option to 'reset settings to defaults'. Well I click it and nothing happens... It doesn't work either.
Also they didn't provide possibility to take pictures in 21:9 to cover entire screen. Where 3rd party apps can do this. Maybe not 21:9 but 7:3 (that should be same) that results with 7MPx picture. Hence it's possible!
I wonder who is testing it???
Is sony testing its software at all?
Tried to post it on their original forum but currently they have 'technical problems'.
OMG this company is so incompetent and pointless.
Also recording videos in 4k is losing the frames so need to use 3rd party app to have smooth 4k recording. And they aim to be top in camera department?
With what?
They abandoned all Xperia 1 users with garbage and without updates or new features. Now even security patches are not coming on time.
Pathetic.

This sound option toggles the shutter/video record/stop sounds. It does not toggle whether or not sound is recorded

Not sure what to tell you, this option works for me. If you want to reset the program, you can also do it by "clearing storage" in the Apps section of settings.

They probably assume if you want 21:9 then you'll just crop a larger image to fit the screen. You are correct in that the CinemaPro program does take advantage of the 21:9 aspect ratio by shooting in it.

Yeah, it's pretty depressing that the Xperia 1 fails to deliver what would be expected in the camera department for a 2019 flagship model that is specifically marketed towards media creation and consumption. Especially when their mirrorless cameras are some of the best for video quality in their price point.
A little off topic, but this video does a good job explaining why Sony, though they seem determined to continue making phones forever, are doing a crap job of selling them which just hurts the consumer more and more
