What's the changelog?
Sent from my MI 8 using Tapatalk
Maybe it has ARB, so keep eyes opens (on xiaomi.eu the new roms based on android 9 are marked with “Anti Roll Back” )
Looks like its still android 8.1 by the filename.
I flashed this. This is also global beta, but the closed nightly one. I am unsure of the changelog (no permission)
I've read some comments saying the number at the end of the ROM file represents the Android version (It's still 8.x Oreo).

According to the mi forums there are just some bug fixes. Nothing new at all. The software developers of Xiaomi are seriously a joke. There's still no official stable even after three months after release of their allegedly flagship that got unveiled with MIUI 10. The Chinese and global version differs in features (Chinese shows WhatsApp notifications in the Always On screen for example), the cheap ass Mi8se got miui10 already, but the flagship doesn't, ok Google never worked in any Rom so far and not to forget the whole discussion about bootloader's or GPS. It's a ridiculous failure so far in my opinion

I need tonwait 720 hours to unlock. Is it ok to flash it via updatet or better to wait for the fastboot/unlocked bl?
just flash via updater like me. just make sure u have a global version mi 8.
Is it really based on Android 9.0?
It's not, how do you get that idea? Funny thing is, that the roms get worse with every update IMHO. The best working so far was actually 8.8.7. With 8.8.21 some of the gestures stopped working and the AOD flashed white before activating, additionally it became slow and laggy after some time without reboot. The AOD is fixed now, gestures still doesn't fully work, same goes for "ok Google". Why the Chinese version supported WhatsApp notifications in the AOD and the global doesn't is another oddity. I'm not impressed.

Will data be erased if I update from updater? I am still on latest global stable.

It's android 9 to have anti-roll back, we are still on 8.1 there. Should HAVE NOT the ARB.

Its still 8.1, are you sure?
Global 8.9.6 is still Oreo. To be exact: 8.1.0 OPM 171019.026 Tapping 8.1.0 shows Oreo cookie. Hope that answers.
Hi All!
I am using Redmi Note 4 (Indian version) since March 2017.
I updated to MIUI 10.1.1.0 through system update 2 days ago.
Earlier, my phone ran on MIUI 9.6 Global | 9.6.2.0 (NCFMIFD).
My phone is not rooted.
Like many others, I installed Google Camera as I was unhappy with the camera app provided by Xioami. I have been using the version Google Camera-Pixel2Mod-Arnova8G2 v8.3b for quite some time.
To install Google Camera, I unlocked the bootloader. After installation, I again locked the bootloader just to be safe.
There were no issues with the Google Camera app and I was happy with it.
However, after update to MIUI Global 10.1 | 10.1.1.0 Stable (NCFMIFI), the Google Camera stopped working. All I can see is black screen, when I run the Google Camera app. I am very disappointed with the update. I've searched a lot and realized that Google camera doesn't work in MIUI 10. Is there a work around for Google Camera on MIUI 10.1?
Camera2 probe app displays 'Level_3' under 'Hardware level support category'. 'Full', 'Limited' & 'Legacy' are all marked as 'X'.
Is it fine?
As per what I read online, I need to downgrade to MIUI 9 to be able to use Google Camera app.
Now, I have a doubt as to which version of MIUI 9 I need to download.
The official website of MIUI says the latest version of MIUI for Redmi Note 4 as V9.5.3.0.MBFMIFA (MIUI9), whereas the MIUI version on my phone prior to the update was 9.6 Global | 9.6.2.0 (NCFMIFD).
Which version of MIUI 9 do I need to download for a successful downgrade from MIUI 10.1??
Also, I read that the entire 64 GB of my phone storage would get erased during the downgrade.
So, is there a way to backup and restore all my phone data?
Request for kind help so that I can get back my phone to the desired configuration.
You need to search for a fastboot rom for it. either 9.6.3.0 images
Download 9.6.3.0
The one you saw I think is for Nickel(MTK Variant) yours is SD variant
U should download rom for Redmi Note 4X which is Indian variant!
Thank you. This worked.
Unfortunately, the mi backup & reset tool in MIUI didn't take the backup of my contacts and some other apps. However, I exported my contacts as a safety measure before flashing and it saved me.
It comes at last!
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE receives an encouraging update
https://www.notebookcheck.net/Xiaomi-Mi-9-SE-receives-an-encouraging-update.454731.0.html
Hopefully it solves the horribly high standby consumption.
I see that it's fixed on "alternative" firmwares, but not having it fixed in the official builds kills me!
For now it's only China version.
For those who have China version, please let us know what to expect!
It looks great. Recently fixed standby issue... Waiting for global version!!!!
I have 11.0.6.0PFBMIXM global.
Downloaded the recovery version, but can't flash it over.
It's normal?
Where do you get it? Can you share it?
11.0.6.0 not android 10, just fixis and january patch

Nice, only problem is getting Google contacts to sync after installing Google play services on China MIUI via the Google installer. Everything else works including the Google play store apart from contacts sync. Otherwise China Dev ROMs always have more cool features. Anyone able to share how to sync their Google contacts on China Dev MIUI ROMs

But at the first time i able to run miui 12 on my device
Hello,
I just got the Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G (Enuma) recently. It's on MIUI 12.5.1 , upon searching the net for new updates I noticed it's last software update was 08/13/21. It's kinda odd for a new CN Rom device to have late updates unlike it's WiFi siblings the Xiaomi Pad 5 (Nabu) and Pro (Elish)! Which is on MIUI 12.5.8.0. Any thoughts?
Also i was thinking do i need extra steps if i want to download the weekly recovery updates?
Like unlocking the bootloader? Signing up for beta? Any disadvantages?
Thanks.
Did you find a way to sign up for beta miui? Can't find a link to register
Nope , I don't understand why XIAOMI is treating the Pro 5G version less important than the WiFi versions! Until now it's still struck at 12.5.1.0
12.5.8.0 is now online! For Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro 5G
Check the update? Enhanced Version
Yeah, they came out yesterday. but i lil bit fixed as i seen.
Hello, how is everything?
Has anyone managed to unlock the mi pad 5 pro 5 g bootloader??
I've already tried it, but unlock tools don't detect the device and when I use XiaoMiTool V2 it detects the tablet but then it gives an error when I go to unlock the bootloader.
