Well what a rom will do is completely change how the whole phone looks. Some have more customization and others are built for speed. It all depends what you are looking for.
Have a look on YouTube at a few different roms and how to flash a custom recovery before flashing Roms.
This is xda my man, a place where you can learn all this stuff with friendly people to help ya along the way

Lineage 15.1 is always a good starting point as most other Roms will be built from the same device tree as it. For more customization try resurrection remix.
Believe me once you start flashing Roms you will get addicted. Changing the os is almost like changing your phone as it looks so different and operates differently also

Then that's a tom tom issue. Some apps force themselves to download only to the phone storage regardless if adopted storage is enabled. Are you sure there isn't a setting in the tom tom app to allow downloading to sd?
If not try this go into developer options and scroll down to the bottom and try enabling "force allow apps on external"

Have you tried just to do a dirty flash of your rom? Just flash the rom without doing any wipes and then wipe dalvik cache after. If that doesn't work then I'm afraid you will have to wipe the whole phone and start from scratch here by flashing the stock firmware through Odin. Hopefully a dirty flash of your rom will suffice.

To flash an rom, Does it only with TW? or also with Odin?

You will have to flash the stock firmware which will be a .zip.tar file not a .zip file through Odin and you will also have to flash twrp again in Odin. You've corrupted a lot of things in your phone by removing the SD with adopted storage enabled, you should never do that as you found out the hard way

So I already have the stock firmware, gonna flash to the stock firmware with odin after that flash twrp also with odin.
What is the next step? To flash to Lineage do I need have root acces? because I not sure if I need root acces/flash to flash to an other ROM.

No once you have twrp you can flash whatever you want straight from your phone you don't need root. You could actually try just flashing twrp and then from twrp flash lineage or whatever rom without having to flash the stock firmware through Odin

I see, so flashing an ROM is ALWAYS through TWRP? from my understanding not with Odin?
Taking notes;
Flashing to Stock firm & TWRP is always with ODIN?
Flashing an ROM (non Officialfirmware) it through TWRP?
EDIT; Is there in download screen/ volume down and powerbutton an message;
" Warranty void: 1 (0x0500)
RP SWREV: B2 :K:0 S:0 "
Is there to reset those numbers? What does it mean? sorry for those nooby question.... I'm also learning.

The only thing I can think may be causing your issue is if you have a bad block or twoin your NAND memory and it is not letting it save your your information and thefact that it has went through the set up. I would tell you how to check your blocks bit to be honest I really am not sure how you do it.I know you have to use some kind of softwarecto do it with your computer and have your HD2 connected to your computer. Sorry friend, maybe some other members here can help you further.

Hi, I have been trying to figure this out for hours.
I flashed cyanogen mod 9 using rom manager from my stock rooted 19300. All went smoothly but now with cyanogenmod 9 Rom manager is really temperamental and keeps not responding when I try to use it.
Anyone any help? Please go easy with the tech terms I am a total beginner.
I also noted cyanogen mod 9 has no file explorer but I found root manager seems to do the trick. Took me a while to figure that out aswell.
Cool ROM though!:good:
Hope someone can help me out.
don't use rom manager, allegedly it's buggy. also, why ICS? we now live in a JB world

Ok cheers, So what would you recommend I use instead for backing up ROM's etc. CWM just makes things so easy for installing ROM's from the phone. Is there another app that will do this.
On cyanogemod 9 CWM seems to be a system app also. So cant really go delete it.

Use the recovery menu. What you are doing is not ment to be easy. You have to understand what you are doing or you will end up in an unhappy place now that your warranty is voided.

Yep CWM recovery as it states on the tin CWM Manager is no longer updated or supported .

Im kind of confused. Is cwm recovery not rom manager? Do i have rom manager or cwm recovery
Im going to attach screen shots.
So is this what i should use? Or is it recommended to use something else.
If i shouldnt use it, what will happen if i delete it seen as it's a system app and what's a good replacement?

No Rom manager is not CWM recovery. It is an app that is supposed to work with the cwm recovery.
All the options you need are in recovery when you boot directly to recovery from the reboot menu.

2. But, I notice that my WIFI could not open and all my file in internal memory was missing.
3. The thread I view says that I have to flash the stock kernel to my phone.
4. After I flash, my phone back to normal (WIFI can use and internal memory have data) but there have no root acces in my phone.

Let's flash MegaFireV10 and you will have very fast system already rooted. If you wish, you can flash MFv10X which is heavy debloated version of MegaFire
Yep. Same problem for me when I try to root via vcoreroot. No wifi after root. I just wasted my time rooting and got 0x1 knox in the end. Great job, Samsung.
Anyway, there's two red lines upon booting up with root.
Now I'm just waiting for kitkat 4.4.2 first before rooting. Waste of time.

MegaFire Should'nt be flashed without factory reset. So back up your apps, contacts, sms's and whats more and make clean install. I would suggest to use for backup Super Backup app from Store.

Is it just that simple.- flash the latest official global firmware in twrp, clear cache/dalvik and reboot,- and then i am completely back on stock ?
And after it, i can lock bootloader with the miflash-unlock-tool, if i would ?

Would anyone post a simple step by step guide here ?
Thanks in advance !!!

Fastboot will restore your phone back to factory settings and I guess that's what you want. You can't restore to factory settings in TWRP as it requires unlocked bootloader. Just download the ROM and flash via fastboot

It's quite simple. I did it myself a few days ago. The tool does everything itself. But you should still read the thread if you are new to MIUI like me. But keep in mind the phone will format including the internal storage. I suggest you backup everything.

My phone is an Honor View 10 model BKL-L04 (American model) build 8.1.0.133 (C567GT).
These are the steps that I used to remove the stock firmware and recovery and replace them with something more to my taste. I did < 1% of the actual work here, I'm just putting everything that I did in once place so that other people may not have to look so hard to find answers.
Requirements
View 10 - If you don't have one then you're in the wrong place. Do NOT follow these directions for any other phone as both the directions and the links are specific to the model mentioned above.
Cash/PayPal - Most of us don't have the skills to pry out the bootloader unlock code ourselves so we must pay someone who does. God knows the manufacturer isn't going to help us out here
SD Card - You can probably get this done purely on internal storage, but weren't you going to put in a nice, big SD card anyway?
SD Card Writer (optional) - You'll need a way to load files onto the card prior to flashing. IMHO getting an SD card writer is the simplest way, but to each their own.
Unlocking
This guy will get you an unlock code for your View 10 for $22 (USD). Order a Bootloader Unlock Code, select the Huawei option "with IMEI", put BOTH of your IMEI numbers in the comments field, submit it and pay via PayPal. I got a code in about an hour. Once you have the code you can follow these directions to perform the unlocking process. If you need a bit more help getting though it then try this guide.

Don't use the official TWRP images. As of Dec 8, 2018 neither 3.2.1-0 nor 3.2.1.-1 worked for me (-0 dropped to fastboot after a few seconds and -1 caused a bootloop when entering recovery). Use the latest unofficial image from this page. Directions included. More detailed directions can be found here but make sure to use the TWRP image from the first link.
Copy Zips
Now pick out a ROM (I went with LineageOS 15.1) and copy all the zips you need to your SD card. The list probably includes the ROM itself, gapps, and some type of su/root package. Put them all on your card.
Flash ROM
If you're going with LIneageOS 15.1 as I did then this guide should get you the rest of the way. It has the links for the ROM itself as well as gapps and the su package. Again, be very careful to match exactly your phone model and architecture (arm64 for the View 10) when grabbing these packages.
Extras
You can find the latest stock firmware image for the BKL-L04 here. Be damn sure your phone matches mine before you use it! If you need to pull out the stock recovery for any reason, you can use the update extractor to do this (grab recovery_ramdisk), then flash it the same way you flash TWRP.
Good luck and have fun! I'll try to help if you get stuck but the real knowledgeable people are those that wrote the articles I've linked to.
Cheers!

Is "twrp_bkl_0.7.img" the latest one?
As of Dec 9 I believe it is, yes.

I didn't have that issue when I was first flashing the ROM, but I do now. If you're having it prior to flashing your ROM would it be because you didn't wipe & format beforehand? The guide I linked in step 5 leads you through this procedure if you need it.
As far as the unmounting error, I think that's something we'll have to live with until the issue is corrected in TWRP.

I think it works if you wipe/format first. The guide I linked walks you through this.

Hmm. Well, you can either try one of the official builds (here) or wait for the guy doing our customized build to fix this issue. You might even post a note on this thread describing your issue so that he can track how many people are having it.
Sorry I couldn't be more help. The View 10 is not the easiest phone to work with by a long shot.

You have told that you have formatted your device, if you have formatted it from twrp it will cause issues, you should format it from emui system settings.
