Hello,
I needed help with my plk-ul00 device. I unlocked my boot loader after which I installed a twrp. I did also follow the instructions very carefully on how to root my device. I tried to put supersu v2.71. as such there were no errors while flashing the zip file. I did erase the cache. then when I rebooted the device, the system would not get loaded. just a blank screen. thought I can reboot with recovery,( I can have access to tarp) I can't access my system. what should I do next? please do help me as I am in need of my Huawei device! plus im new to the rooting concept hence I apologize if I've made any conceptual errors!
cheers.

Recently I attempted to root my Nexus 9 (running 6.0.1, latest OTA update) using this guide: phandroid.com/2014/11/05/how-to-root-nexus-9
It didn't go so well and I ended up in a bootloop after completing the steps. I managed to resolve this by following the steps on the Google Developer Factory Images page using the latest Nexus 9 (Wi-Fi only) image (I did not re-lock the bootloader, however).
After this, the device booted fine, however it is not rooted (apps cannot get root access and rootchecker and supersu both state that it is not rooted). I would appreciate some help here, as I am not sure where I went wrong (for example does flashing the factory image de-root?) or how to gain root from here. Most of the guides I have seen are for android 5.0, and I am not sure if the software used/linked is still compatible. I am not planning on moving away from stock android on this device, so a custom recovery is not necessary for me, and most guides include installing CWM or TWRP (I'm not against this, I just figured it's not necessary.)
If anyone could link any guides that are still valid (or tell me what to do) it would be much appreciated!
That guide is way out of date and links you to wrong files. Flashing factory images will remove root.
Get latest TWRP image .
Boot your device to bootloader mode. Attach to PC issue this comand "fastboot boot <name of twrp.img>".
Have latest supersu.zip on your device before hand. Use the Temporarily booted TWRP to install that zip.

Thanks! I've just gotten around to following your instructions, and that was totally painless. Much simpler and faster than anything I found elsewhere, too (Guess all the guides I found were hopelessly outdated).
Will this method work for all current devices (assuming I have the correct TWRP, of course)?
@Sithon
Should work with most nexus devices.
Other devices may have locked bootloaders and need different methods to root. Check the device forum.
Hello!
Thanks for reading this thread, there's a lot that I'm about to say based on what has happened for the past 8 hours of troubleshooting.
I hope you'll be able to help me regarding my issue.
Everything was going well as I on my way to unlock my bootloader (done) and root my device.
After rooting via TWRP, I'm stuck on the white XPERIA logo screen.
Proceeded to wipe my phone, and thanks to my stupidity, loss of OS.
Downloaded an GLOBAL OS online, tried to flash into my device with FlashTool.
Error came to me as I needed flash script.
Search online, to no avail, I went to my final option
I saw a tutorial of creating a pre-rooted ROM : https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/tool-prfcreator-easily-create-pre-t2859904
I attached my OS I previously downloaded which i tried to flash with FlashTool, attached SuperSu into the application and a flashablezip (as instructed).
Flashed this pre-rooted ROM into my device using TWRP, rebooted.
New problem: Stuck at white Sony logo, couldn't enter TWRP.
Flashed in via cmd.exe a working boot.img & recovery.img.
TWRP now works, but I'm back to square one : stuck at the white XPERIA logo screen.
If you've read all of that, I thank you so much for doing so.
I hope that you'll be able to help me after these gruesome 8-hours of researching, trial & error session.
It's about time I requested help from professionals.
Thank you!
Edit : I can boot up my phone now, however that's achievable by removing SuperSu via TWRP.
This is no longer an urgent need for help, but it will be nice if I could get an idea why would I be stuck at the XPERIA logo screen when SuperSu is installed.

while waiting for someone to come out with help. I've found a website which have "unofficial" twrp.
https://unofficialtwrp.com/doogee-bl12000-pro/
I want a comfirmation if this site is trustworthy.
I've tried flash the twrp into my phone but it keep booting at recovery and can't boot into system.
I'm flashing using CMD like this:
fastboot oem unlock
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot boot recovery.img

and what the function of "fastboot flashing unlock"?
I'm thinking of using magisk to root my phone but I don't know what "stock boot image dump".

seems that https://unofficialtwrp.com/doogee-bl12000-pro/ really work, but for my case, it's required me to decrypt password, while im not had any password.
after many times of rooting effort, it success. for those who have problem that occur to me:- BOOTLOOP at RECOVERY and RECOVERY can't read SDCARD or STORAGE
1. Root your phone using the twrp above
2. if bootloop to recovery, make sure you have sdcard and have supersu flash file inside it.
3. in twrp, go to wipe. and then format factory
4. go to mount and choose media sdcard
5. at the homescreen, go to install and then flash the supersu flash file.
6. done

Hello, I'm a beginner.
Yesterday I unlocked the bootloader on my smartphone (Vivo Y71). Then I want to install TWRP for my smartphone, but no TWRP for my Android makes TWRP, and I try to find a way to make TWRP to support my Android. After I finished making it, I installed TWRP on my Android via ADB tools, and my recovery system has changed to TWRP, but the problem I experienced started from this, TWRP asked to enter a password. And I am looking for a way to bypass this, I do Wipe Data, but I get the error code "Permission Denied" and now my Android can't boot to the homescreen, and when I reboot / shutdown my android I always go into TWRP. and now I am confused what to do, to do flash recovery via ADB can not, because the Fastboot option is not in the TWRP that I installed, and my device is not detected on my computer. Can you help me with my problem?
NP: I use google translate, my English is very bad, please understand.
Thanks.

And , regarding your TWRP encryption problem i think i can help you. Try every solution below. One might work for you.
Solution 1: Try password as " password" , it may work !
Solution 2: Try : default_password if this doesn't work.. Then am sorry my friend you have to format full data.
Solution 3: Its asking for the encryption password. The default password is "default_password" (without the quotes) try that. And if doesn't work then enter Bootloader (fastboot mode) and enter the following commands into CMD.
Code:
fastboot format userdata
Code:
fastboot format cache
Code:
fastboot reboot
This will unencrypt your phone and you'll be able to boot/enter TWRP normally.
Please do note that you'll lose ALL of your data from the commands.
Also, I'm not sure about this but you also might need to flash TWRP again.
Solution 4: Try flashing DM vertiy zip. It solves the problem (most recommended solution).

May i know what happened to your device. Have you solved the problem. Please share experience.

Hey guys.. having issues rooting my BV9900 Pro. Not much on the net about this device. I gained Root access for one boot using magisk app to patch my boot image and fastboot flashing it. I used a couple Root apps and deleted a couple of system apps, magisk granted access. When I restarted, it went into a boot loop until I flashed the original boot.img. Now whenever I flash the patched boot, it tries once and goes into bootloader. I have an Orange State message on regular boot.img startup.
I tried this with a generic blank vbmeta, it went into a boot loop.
Someone with a non-pro BV9900 with the exact same chipset managed to get twrp on his. I tried flashing that. Bootloader says data transfered but whenever I go into recovery, the original recovery.img loads and it boots normally with the Orange State message.
The root deleted system apps are still gone.
Any insights or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Only a side remark:
Even if one finds a TWRP image that at 100% matches his/her device, it's not a good idea to flash it: instead boot into it
Code:
fastboot boot twrp.img

Ah. I didn't realize magisk was systemless root. The BV9900 Pro crashes when you edit the system image. I suppose I should research more, things have changed in the last few years.
