in some games, it thinks i have a controller attached to my device, when i haven't, esp in gameloft games.
in some of them it doesn't matter because i can play normally, but in others i cant do a thing and i haven't figured it out how to solve it.
has anyone encountered with this problem? which games? does anyone have a workaround?
some of the games that had this problem for me:
modern combat versus
dungeon hunter 5
sniper fury (unplayable)
impulsion (unplayable)
No one even bothered to see this post?
I didn't try those games but with Gangstar New Orleans (also from Gameloft) it doesn't happen, it works well.

What rom are you using?
It seams miui and miui based roms dont have this problem, but ALL of the aosp based roms that ive tried, about 10 of them, have this problem

Tried it in miui 9
Didn't use the game when using aosp roms sorry.
Just tested on eu rom, miui based, and it had no problem
Its really odd, all of the aosp based roms or kernels have this problem, android 7 and 8, at least those ive tried, about 15 of them, and miui doesnt.
Is it related to kernel? Has no one even noticed this bug? Really no one played gameloft games on an aosp based rom?

I tried quite a few AOSP and AKOP roms and the one thing that annoys me alot is that almost every EA & Gameloft games stay in update screen for a min or more when a game is launched ,is there is any work around for this

How is the gaming performance on aops and akop roms for ea and gameloft games( heavy 3d ones). Do they lag and stutter, low fps? How is it compared to stock/ samsung based roms?
they run at a good fps rate..so far i ve played dead space,ME infiltrator,Asphalt 7,mordern warfare 3...and the list goes on..
The update check on startup is the oly thing that makes me to uninstall the games cuz i don't want ppl sayin my SGS2 is slow

umm but how is the fps rate and performance compared to stock or samsung based custom roms? Could u tell me how much u8 score on nenamark 2? and also the kernel?
I have heard some bad things about 3d gamn performance of aosp/akop roms..which prevents me from tryin them out..

i agree with.you.....when i open need for speed hot pursuit....it always update checking when wait up to 5 to 8 min...the game launch
how can i prevent the update check ..... anyone knows.....im on aokp rom

The problem:
This problem is simply with the developer of the game and not the Roms. They supposed to have release a genuine update to their apk(s) to fix this issues.
Many people are facing this same problem, but only on AOSP based Roms.
Possible solution:
Before opening any of those troublesome games, ensure both your mobile data and Wi-Fi connection are DISABLED.

Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
Currently running the MIUI port. Gaming seems to be decent off the charger but if I am charging the phone it starts to lag most 3D games.
Question I have is, Whats the best rom for gaming and what games do you play?
I know raf posted a link to fix a few things. Have you flashed the fixes?
Stock Rom or Stock based Rom.Currently im on GoSense & i don't have any problem of 3D gaming.Wild Blood too plays smoothly!
try Energy Stock with Adrino Drivers or whatever.

Yea I actually did and it the fixes did improve the FPS, just on that specific rom which I never noticed on other roms there is a signifcant FPS drop while the phone is charging via usb to computer or wall charger. Games that get impacted are 3D games, GTA 3, Six Guns etc...Rafy says he does not have this issue so Im not even sure

Has anyone got past the startup crash of modern combat 5 blackout. I am currently using the cm11 4.4.4 rom.(Atrix 4g)
(But I have had no luck with ICSROM, Atrics, Superlite etc) (gltools also didn't help)
And ya the version of the game is 1.0.1c.
Any way to get is working?

Did you try it on gingerbread?....when i played 4 i had significant performance reduction on 4.x roms, could be the rom or kernel...just a thought

The game is available for android 4.1+ only. And I have 4.4.4 cm11
The rom capable of full hardware acceleration. Actually it's smoother than GB. But the recent gameloft games like MC5, Amazing Spiderman 2, BIA3 etc don't seem to work.
GLtools didn't help either.
Force closes everytime.

Need a new phone due to lack of Tegra 2 support in 4.x ROMs (Tegra 2 has been dropped)
So, I have a major problem, currently I'm on CM12.1, Latest build by lokjianming, but pretty much all of my games are running bad? Like, it's struggling to keep up, although it should easily be able to cope on this modern phone, stuff like Temple run 2 and Osmos HD, they're all stupidly choppy! I need help.

sadly, imo there is no other stable gaming rom than MIUI for redmi note 2 (until now)
just reflash to MIUI, and you wont get disappointed
Unfortunately, very bad optimization of apps and games. The same problem on htc e9 and meizu mx5, they too have mtk6795. We must wait. Someone says "deal with it"

Just take it easy, this phone was released 4 months ago, and we have CM builds !! Honestly I never excpect to have them this quick, we just have to wait for developers to deal with MTK and its mistical source code.

I have zero issues with the same cm 12.1. ROM and all heavy 3d games run flawless here. So why do you talk crap about his ROM and it being unstable when it's not? Also it does actually @ludoke have the power of a Mercedes to be honest. Lol. I am very surprised about its "power" tbh.
Try to while your dalvik and cache and see if that helps.
I also DLL the temple run because i dont play it, but it worked fine here. No stuttering or problems so something else must be causing it I reckon.
The only problem I have with games is battery draining but performance is ok. I have 0 lag or fc on bule's CM.
The Helio X10 has a pretty bad gpu. Similar to the old Snapdragon 600 or S4 Pro.
If you want to play games, then get something with the Snapdragon 801 like the infocus m810t. Or the Mi 4c with the Snapdragon 808.
For the next 1 year I need to use this but its the last time I buy a device with miui stock.. I hate the closed source and bad too for mediatek..

and before that for this issue should i be looking for a KitKat rom or Lollipop or Marshmallow ?

I'm on Existenz 7.0.0 with Androplus kernel v72, optimized, and I dont have any issues and I have a lot of games, some are heavy games and I have zero lag, great performance and about 4-7 hours of SoT.
