Hi,
After an update to 8.0 security patch 2018 April my phone lost the network.
Carrier didn't find any failure, they told th Sim card is not compatible with the the sim card? Is it possible? Other carrier SIMs working, only UPC mobile card has the issue.
Samsung service prowed it is perfect, still the same issue.
I got some message as phone not usable, now only no network.
Do you have any hint to follow?
Thank you!

I bought a used galaxy s3 that seems fine except that i can't get it to work with my sim card. I always get the searching & not registered on network when trying to dial. The sim card works fine on other phones. the phone is running android 4.3... Any idea of what could be the problem and how to fixx it?
Are you sure that you phone isn't sim locked?
If it were sim locked you would get a request for the unlocking code at boot. Most likely the phone has been tampered or broken, either wrong modem or efs folder corrupt.
Search and read for the available fixes.
Hi, i have some problems with No Sim Card detected on Samsung Galaxy S III I9300 from T-Mobile (Austrian)
Firstly i unlocked the phone at the shop and was really unlocked on all sim cards but than i did a factory reset and the phone no longer detects sim card from other carriers, it only detects sim card from T-Mobile, It dosen't even shows the menu when you turn on the phone for network unlock.
I tryed using those secret codes to show the network unlock menu but they didn't work since the phone was updated to 4.3 firmware.
So i followed this guide on androible downgrade-galaxy-s3-i9300-android-4-3-android-4-1-2-jelly-bean-firmware
To downgrade to 4.1.2 firmware along with provided modem file. The secret codes now do show menu's but when i click on UMTS RF NV it says it's not supported.
Also instead of downgrading to T-Mobile 4.1.2 Firmware i downgraded it to Orange 4.1.2 Firmware hope that dosen't effects it in anyways? Phone otherwise works just fine IMEI Number shows OK.
I tryed 2 different SIM cards from orange none of them worked, it only detects SIM from T-Mobile.
To recap it all agean: I wish to unlock this phone so i can use different SIM card's but the phone is on NO Sim card, emergency calls only but when i insert T-Mobile Sim it works, Also there is no Network Unlock Menu shown durning turn on or reset since i already Unlocked the phone once with a code. Does anyone has any clue how to fix this or unlock it without rooting the phone.

Factory reset? Either that or idk maybe actually get a new SIM card or smth. How old was that SIM?
I recently unlocked my Galaxy J7 Sky Pro from the tracfone carrier (called them, got two codes, put them in and device said it is now unlocked).
Now when I try to insert a different sim card the phone seems to have no service, even though the sim card is recognized (asks me for the pin and logs in properly). In fact that sim card is a prepaid european one, from the german carrier O2, but since J7 Sky Pro can do LTE connection I though that should work fine?
What do you guys think, is there something I could do to fix the issue?
My exact model is:
SM-S727VL
And android version is:
6.0.1
One kind of annoying thing is that even though I unlocked the phone, it still shows the tracfone logo on startup. Maybe the firmware is preventing the european sim card to connect to a tower? Is there some "international" version of firmware I could update to to make it work?
Thanks for any suggestion!
Hello, good evening
I wouldnt be starting this contact form, but honestly im out of ideas :'(.
I currently have a Huawei Y9 (Model STK-LX3 using Hilisilicom 710F) sold by phone carrier as Single SIM, as well it only shows 1 IMEI number after dialing *#06#. Heres my problem, the phone does have a sim tray that accepts both nano SIM/SD Card or Dual Nano SIM mode, unlocked for all networks. After insterting both SIMs, phone still reads only 1 since it only shows 1 IMEI (as well SIM Manager does not show in mobile network settings).
Instructions on the box itself says that is DUAL sim, an its sold as single sim in Central America.
I thought that it was a firmware issue and reinstalled another one, based on my location i use C605 in build number, ive tried unlocking bootloader with DC Unlocker, HCU Client and HUawei Multi tool, but all throws an error for security patch not supported.
Someone already told that its a certificate missing that activates sim reader on the slot 2 for the second SIM. But problem is that theres little or no information on how and what is the type used for my model. since you are in the firmware/cert business I wonder if you can please help me out on this I would really apprpeciate if you can help me just on pointing out what would be the certificate missing on my phone and the rest I can figure it out myself, but please im clueless on what cert type is needed.
PD: i will be trying sigmakey on testpoint to try to make this happen. I just need your guidance on the certtype needed.
