Bluetooth issue on Ressurrection Remix 5.8.5 (Ulefone U008 Pro) - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Greetings to all, first post here!
My short story: I have an Ulefone U008 Pro, which was stuck on Android 6.0, so as many other users I decided to flash a custom ROM. The ROM I chose was Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 (Nougat), which I found on getdroidtips.com (I can't post links since I'm a new user).
Actually, that article is a repost from another post on the 4PDA Forum (which sadly is in Russian, a language I can't speak). The author of the port says that the firmware works fine, except for the Home button (which is not a big deal to me, since I've been able to remap the other buttons easily). However, after some days of tests, I discovered another issue which was not reported: Bluetooth doesn't work properly. I can pair and connect, but when I use a Bluetooth headset I get no audio, neither music nor system sounds (something that didn't happen with the stock ROM). Searching around here I found some possible solutions, like replacing system/lib/modules/mtk_stp_bt.ko, system/lib/libbluetooth_mtk.so and system/lib/libbluetoothem_mtk.so or system/lib/hw/bluetooth.default.so from the stock ROM, but I got no results (or, to be more precise, the first three files made no difference, while bluetooth.default.so makes Bluetooth Share crash each time I turn it on).
So, now I don't know what else can I do to fix this ROM. I don't want to give up, because it's fast, smooth and highly customizable compared to the stock ROM. Do you know what else could I do to fix this problem? FYI, I have both the stock firmware (with boot.img, system.img etc.) and an ADB pull of the original system/ folder for any file replacement. Hope you can help me, thanks in advance!
P.S. Reading through the 4PDA forum (with Google translate…) it looks like the author used a firmware from another phone, the Oukitel U7 Plus (???), probably because they share the same chipset. I don't know if this could be helpful.

Some basic information
Kernel
A kernel is a critical component of every Operating System. It can be seen as a sort of bridge between the applications and the actual hardware of a device. Usually the data processing part is done at hardware level, furthermore the kernel is the most low-level abstraction layer for the resources.
Bootloader
A bootloader in general is the first bytes of code that a machine executes that will tell the bootsequence and will load the operating system into the RAM. On an Android phone this is the so called HBoot. From here you can go to the recovery, system or data partition. By pressing the power button on your phone, HBoot will load the OS into RAM. By pressing the power and volume down buttons, you’ll bring up the HBoot menu.
Recovery
In Android, recovery refers to the dedicated, bootable partition that has the recovery console installed. A combination of key presses (or instructions from a command line) will boot your phone to recovery, where you can find tools to help repair (recover) your installation as well as install official OS updates. Because Android is open and has the recovery source code available, building a customized version with more and different options is relatively easy as well.

It is possible to build android pie for any amlogic using khadas android sources. These roms are just 'proof of concept'. You can build one for your box using this manifest https://github.com/Amlogic-Lineage/android_manifest and making your device tree based on this example (in fact only need to change bluetooth/wifi vendor and add proper remote config) https://github.com/Amlogic-Lineage/android_device_khadas/tree/khadas-hertz-pie-tappro9377

Where did you find above roms from?
Are you able to update these roms with specific configurations?
The X92 i own, which boots with the roms you add, do not let the front panel light up with the time and if Wifi/SD or USB is connected.
The remote does not work as it should be, the only buttons that work are: Arrow down, Enter, and back key. All other buttons do not reply.
I have the old Android 7.1.2. Rom to extract the data i need, but i have no clue where to look and how to import it.
Testing went good;
Android 9 is fast and the ROM boots quickly. Wifi, Bluetooth, USB and Gigabit ethernet are working.

This ROM almost nails it and i'm really pleased with this one actually.
The rom works great and everything seems to be working fine except for the front LCD/timer.
What do work:
- All USB ports!
- Ethernet, wireless 2.4ghz/5ghz and bluetooth.
- Remote is fully functional, i can now turn off the device and boot it from sleep
- All languages supported, took me a while to move it from Vietnamese to Dutch.
- SDcard
- HDMI on full screen
- KODI and youtube boots like the OS, fast en without any issues so far.
What i didnt check, is this a 3G ram rom?
Will this work on Nexbox A1?

Also could you import drivers for the front LCD of my X92?

Hi!
Would you know if there's an OTA for the LPDDR3 version?
Thanks!

Hi, I'm glad you have found ROM. Here is build for LPDDR3 with BCM bluetooth, multiwifi, and gigabit LAN, arm64, ATVBOX6D_update_khadas_pie_multiwifi_20200709_arm64_LPDDR3_ATV.img
I have tested it on Beelink GT1 Ultimate with LPDDR3 memory (LPN1 serial numbers)
It is possible to build android pie for any amlogic using khadas android sources. These roms are just 'proof of concept'. You can build one for your box using this manifest https://github.com/Amlogic-Lineage/android_manifest and making your device tree based on this example (in fact only need to change bluetooth/wifi vendor and add proper remote config) https://github.com/Amlogic-Lineage/android_device_khadas/tree/khadas-hertz-pie-tappro9377
kernel source: https://github.com/khadas/linux/tree/khadas-vims-pie

I see you tested this ROM with Beelink GT1 Ultimate LPN1 which I also have so can you please tell me what works and what doesn't work?
Also can you tell me is there some newer or better Android 9 ROM for Beelink GT1 Ultimate LPN1? Thank you.
