Bluetooth Media Keys inactive when no media is playing - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I'm having an issue here that when my bluetooth device is connected and no media is playing, all the bluetooth media keys (vol +, vol -, play/pause) would not be detected by Android. When I press volume up or down, the volume would not adjust when no media is playing, just in case I want to lower or raise the volume before media plays (Absolute Volume Control on). I had this issue for a very long time but now it has irritated me to try to find a solution to it. I have this issue with all of the devices listed below.
Is there an app/mod that could keep the bluetooth media keys active when it is connected? Thanks.
Tested with:
Earphones:
Sony WI-1000X
Samsung Level U Pro
Android Devices
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Stock Oreo)
Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 (Lineage15.1, stock nougat)

[Q] MH500 Headphones + Music

Hello,
I'm using the MH500 headphones that came with my X10. I was wondering if there is any information or a list of press sequences available on how to control music playback.
For example, what press sequences are recognized by the X10 to control music, or would that be specific to the music player I'm using? I'm using PowerAmp atm.
So far I can perform pause, play and next by doing a long press and double pressing the button. Is there a way to go previous, fastforward, rewind?
Thanks,
W.

Allshare - Volume Buttons

Anyone noticed that when controlling another player using allshare on your phone that the volume buttons (on screen or rocker) are incredibly incremental. I've sat in front of the computer holding the volume rocker and watch WMP's volume barely slide upward.
Is there a hacked up app- or is it possible to create a hacked up app- that adjusts the volume in larger increments?

Why the audio control doesn't work in Xperia Z2 ?

In my previous phone LG G2, any headphone with audio control would work without a problem (that have three buttons (Vol +, pause , Vol -), double clicking Vol+ will skip to the next song, and Vol- to get to the previous song.
In my xperia Z2, that is not the issue, pause button will raise the volume up, the same thing to Vol+ button.
even the headhpones with the only mic and one button will raise the song volume instead of pausing.
Is there any way to fix this ?
Never had this issue, and I've used many types of headsets with my device (htc, samsung, sony, nokia) and even bt stereo headsets.
is this happening with the Walkman app only, or with any audio app you use ? have you tested other apps ?
Yes, it is universal, some people mentioned because Z2 use connector CTIA instead of the older OMTP standard, but apperantly is not that, some people get to headset to work and others not.

[Q] Media Volume Control Only.

On both iPhone and the new blackberry 10 phones. You can disable volume buttons turning the ringer up. You can make it so the volume buttons only controls media and nothing else no matter where you are.how do you do this on android.?
I don't think I've seen that option on any of the Android versions. But maybe if we had xposed working you could have a mod to make it work.

Get volume buttons to change remote volume

Since One UI 4 hardware volume buttons always controls the local media volume, even when using an app that provides remote volume like BluOS, casting, You Tube DIAL or similar. The Remote volume is in the volume panel, it is just not connected to the hardware keys.
Is there a way to fix this?
Unfortunately I can no longer downgrade since the latest version bumped the security version. I tried installing a GSI rom as an alternative but unfortunately they just have too many issues to be usable.
