I have setup Remix OS as dual boot with windows 7
It was working fine till a few days ago
But now when I select Remix OS from Boot Menu
It shows \ubnldr.mbr
File corrupt or Missing
Is there any way to Re-Install Remix OS without losing any data
Or is there any way to fix this issue
to fix
this is a bug that happens in repartitioning the Hard Drive ... to fix just use open the command prompt as adm and type:
chkdsk / f d:
"d:" is where the remixOS is installed
sorry for the bad english
Chkdsk d: /f enter
Where d: is your remix drive
And make sure menu.lst is copied in the d :

You made it the default os, thats the problem. If you can get an app which can change the boot sequence from remix os, than you can fix it without the recovery disk, otherwise you will need the recovery disk. I am saying all this assuming you have actually installed remix os on your harddisk. If your booting remix os from a usb, remove the usb before booting up your pc
more info would be nice...like how and where you installed remix os.
if on the same hdd but different partition, i m sure you replaced the windows bootloader.
if on another hdd, try going into the boot menu during post and select the different hdd and see.

Hi.
I want to install Remix OS on the ssd of my Lenovo Yoga 2 13. It's running Legacy mode.
I created a partition with 24gb with the letter D:
I downloaded the lastest Remix OS Version an installed it with the Installer in the .rar file.
After the reboot I chose Remix OS in the bootloader Menu and the I get the warning shown in the attached foto.
Booting GRLDR...

Installing Phoenix OS works perfect, why Remix OS isn't?
I also tried to install Remix OS with EasyBCD, then it's starting but I get a grey windows when I start an App like VLC or QuickPic ...
And after the installation jide I got these messages:
jide setup wizard isn't responding ....
and process sytem isn't responding and Play Store crashed some times.
Can I solve the problem to run Remix OS smoothly?
If not I will stay on Phoenix OS which runs good on my Lenovo.
kind regards

I am getting this error
Error:Cannot find GRLDR in all devices.Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart.
@MalikShahrozAwan cmon... that's way too few information.
What's your device?
How did you install Remix? Using official installer from Windows to HDD, from Windows to USB, from USB to HDD?
For the future, try to be less lazy please... ughhh
well im using hp dc7900 tower pc
core2duo
4gb ram
3.16 ghz processor
i installed remix os using official installer to hdd
from last 1 month it was working fine and now i see this error
1. Did you updated using OTA?
2. Or did you do nothing and it stopped working?
3. Can you boot into Windows normally?
i did nothing and it stopped working
yes i can normally boot into my windows 7
Just reinstall it then. It's quicker then troubleshooting.
You can back up the RemixOS/data.img file to some other partition -> Uninstall -> Install anew -> restore the backed up data.img to the RemixOS folder -> reboot into Remix.
I don't know how but your bootloader config got corrupted. Maybe you have badblocks in the drive filesystem. You can try:
Start cmd.exe as administrator.
Run this command but change X: to drive where RemixOS is installed:
Code:
chkdsk X: /f /r /x
Once it's done, make a screenshot/picture or save the contents of the console in notepad to show results to us.
Reboot into Remix and check if it helped.
I'm not sure where GRLDR is expected to be - on same partition as RemixOS installation, on disk C: or on the hidden windows boot partition. I don't know legacy boot that well.
It's very likely that badblocks are the problem. It's pretty common and it happens when Remix OS crashes or has bad power management - shutdown/restart causes immediate powerdown of device, even if it's in the middle of writing to disk.
Hi I am Vince Joshua D. Dato, a newbie here. I am currently having problem installing Remix OS on my PC, I have installed Remix OS in other partition to make the Remix OS run alongside Windows 10. At first things happened smoothly and fine, but after a few minutes while I am taking a bath, a message pop-up on the log (is it really log? or command thingy) Emergency Remount. After a few seconds my computer rebooted, and selected Remix OS again on the bootsector, but the Emergency Remount appeared again. I tried to do the said action for 3X, but nothing happened, that is why I lost hope in installing Remix OS on my PC; that caused me to uninstall it to my PC, and remove it's partition. If anyone knows how to fix this issue please reply immediately. :crying:
System specs:
GA-F2A55M-DS2 (rev. 3.0)
AMD A6-5400K APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
AMD Radeon HD 6570
Secure boot disabled
So i tried to dual boot with remix OS on my PC,i am running windows 7.
the dual boot didn't work, whenever i choose Remix Os it started to boot and then crash.
So i decided to remove Remix Os,in my frustration however i just right-clicked the os file in the partition i created and deleted the whole file not using the unistall feature.
Now when i open my pc it asks me whether or not to run Windows 7 or Remix os.
Does someone know a way to remove that, like make my pc realise that Remix os doesn't exist or choose windows 7 by default?
