Hello good developers hope you guys are doing well I just wanna say thanks for the hard and fantastic work you guys have done for Redmi note 3 kenzo.
But as now I can see clearly that Redmi note 3 is dying and there's no hope as there's no project treble support.
So I request you guys to please make Redmi note 3 project treble supported so we can enjoy nice ROMs.
As everyone knows Redmi note 3 runs on marshmallow 6.0 officially and it was already dead but just because of the hard work of good developers it was pretty much saved.
So here is my huge request that please........ please......... please ......make project treble for our Redmi note 3 I mean it's such a shame because even Redmi 3X/Redmi 3S/Prime have unofficial project treble support which is definitely not good as Redmi note 3 and was released at very low price.
Please developers do something please give a little bit of your precious time for project treble (Kenzo).
And please tell me in the comments if any good developer is really ready to make a change..... please guys common just one last thing.... please.
looolll treble ain't easy as u can imagine, lots of our developer had fail in this project. and far away before you ask this, i know some developer try to boot treble rom or just participated and all of them were fail, please don't hope too much cause this is reality, kenzo is dead (or even if its still alive, it won't last longer) only miracle could save your dream, i suggest u to buy new phone like whyred or something else which have more active development. don't compare kenzo to some phone which already treble supported, look..how many phone came with SD650 ? did u understand how it works ? don't beg for 75% of impossibilities, atleast all u do is waiting, supporting & praying that if one day, kenzo will be fully supported it. not begging begging and begging. lots of developer had tried, u can participated if u understand lol

I hope it will be aviable for this phone because it is my ****ty phone for testing future Rom´s maybe, when treble is working on this device.
So i can trebelize my Mi A1 Phone and go with tested GSI of maybe Android P =)
SD625 is power. Many smartphones have this SoC. Great battery consumption, great performance.
The Mi A1 is faster than the RN3P and has a great battery backup with 3000mAh.
Mi A2 has SD660. It will have the same fate as kenzo

well, honor 5x is not redmi note 3..
redmi note 3 has good developers (kernel developers), in our community, devs are still learning, there are skilled developers like baddaemon and crpalmer who are busy in maintaining lineage 14.1 and there is another dev, yuweng , he has to make a comeback.. devs got some personal life too.. we gotta respect it and accept what we have right now and we have to be thankfull for them

Hey all,
I'm looking for a good Custom ROM for my Redmi Note 4 and have come across a few good ones but still I'm not sure if they're Officially supported and are Stable.
I've come across the following:
> Resurrection Remix
> Lineage OS
> Paranoid Android
So my question would be that are any of these ROMS reliable and worth flashing over the original MiUi8. Are there any other ROMS worth checking out? I would like a stable and officially supported ROM with regular updates and a stock android feel. I've been using Cyanogen Mod on my previous phones and then once that ended it's support I switched over to Lineage OS. Now the Redmi Note 4 is not really a supported device for Lineage and people have uploaded a few Unofficial Lineage OS ROMS so if any of you have flashed any particular ROM on your Redmi Note 4 I'll be happy to hear about and the experience it offered you. Feel free to post any information you have regarding this topic :good:
~RabbitWingz
May I suggest AospExtended? It's official and well maintained with regular updates. It has a stock feel and gives you some extras with it's extensions.

Bro I would like to tell you that the lack of official ROMS for our Redmi Note 4 is because Xiaomi has not yet released the kernel sources.
And if you're thinking of switching over from MIUI then yup it's totally worth it and LOS, and AEX are one of the best ROMS you can get right now, these two will get you pretty much everything you want for your device. Hit thanks if helped.

But there's one thing I personally don't like about AEX , I'm a Google fan boy so I always flash opengapps stock but well AEX doesn't really let's me uninstall dead Google apps (Google now ?) and such so yeah that's one and pretty much the only thing about it but again it's a really cool experience using AEX.

So well just go for LOS that's what I'm using and a cherry on top is that it's having all the OMS commits so substratum is fully functional but remember it's not as frequently updates as AEX so if updates are your thing than again AEX is better.
If showing off the shear performance of this beast is your thing (and simplicity too) then go for LOS cause I found the highest performance in benchmark from LOS and yeah Darkness Redefined is also good cause I've used it and found it pretty polished.

Hey man,
Thanks for all the information! Would Xiaomi release the kernel sources later in the future or are there no sure plans of that happening? MiUi is pretty heavy and all the bloatware and crappy Ram Management is a disappointment. For those reasons I'm really eager to switch over to a custom ROM and if Lineage OS somehow supports it officially later in the future, It'll definitely be my first choice. Also if you could provide me with a little more Info on the AEX ROM and it's features then that'll be great. Or just simply link it :good:

Bro for AEX just visit the forums and yes the kernel sources will be released in the future but for now we just can wait. Bro if it's unofficial then it doesn't mean that it's not trustworthy but simply that right now it won't get OTA updates and it won't get updated with all the other devices but when the developer will want to update it and like a said our device is a beast and LOS just flaunts it. Have you checked who's the maintainer of the unofficial Los for rn4? Right... It's the maintainer of the official RR of rn3 ? as said already in a answer for you unofficial does not mean some random guy maintains it... Why don't you read and check yourself who the Maintainer is?

Mi 5x is the same device, the ROM was not ported, it can be flashed on either models.
At the end you'll have the same experience with an AOSP based ROM on Redmi Note 4.

Not really, Mi A1 and Mi 5x have different device codenames and partitions. You can't just directly flash ROMs between them.
Flashing Mi A1 ROM on Mi 5x using miflash tool will result in "The system in damaged.", check it on MIUI Forums.
That's why devs ported and modified the Mi A1 ROM, for it to work on Mi 5x.

If you really want the stock Android experience on your device (mido), you should try AOSP Extended v4.5, it is based in AOSP and already in Nougat. With added features and customizations too.
I also want a port of that rom, it feels more original than the other aosp roms and my remote works perfectly.
Not everyone can use the custom roms. I have tried em all but my banking app will not work on any of them even with magisk.
So I would like a stock rom that works with banking personally. I will buy an A1 when it drops in price.
Previously I used moto g 1st gen and a developer ported a marshmallow rom from some other moto device, trust me guys no custom rom is as stable as the ported marshmallow rom... That is the reason I asked this question.

Haha.. I started this thread, so I know what this thread is about. Believe me dude no one in XDA is as ignorant as you to believe that porting rom increase their camera quality. Coming to your previous post.. do you even know what porting a camera means?? I think you don't, let me explain. It means porting the camera app so that it works on other devices which by the way is already done.

Don't worry, I can see the op marked in yellow next to your name "nightmare" ????
Your drama, going off topic in your own post...
Porting the camera is an ironic comment, but now I see how you didn't get it in first place.
To be serious, nevertheless, porting the camera app from a different TYPE of camera, will not make our camera equal. For crying out loud. There are hundreds of camera apps out there and some might work better than the stock app anyway. The reason I would like to see a port of a1 for note4 is the Android one updates that are supposed to happen on time contrary to the xiaomi ones.
I am curious that is kenzo able to boot a GSI image? I haven't found anything related to kenzo treble support but most of the xiaomi phones support project treble. Is there any way to make it work?
No news

U really dont know what project treble is. So go through google search before asking.
Project treble is not some kind of lever or switch which you can enable. And who told u that most xiaomi phone support it?
Project treble is not worth for existing phones. Its xiaomi who should give it.
To make device trebelize.
1) device should have vendor partition.
2)device should have vendor blobs written in binderized format. And it should be wrapped HIDL.
Our kenzo have old marshmallow blobs written in legacy. So cant support.
Only hydrogen has same hardware and soc to kenzo.
So pray for hydrogen to get miui oreo. We will copy oreo blobs from hydrogen to make treble. Thats the only hope.
Thanx mate.
We can wait no issues!

Hey developers I am asking one question please answer me Android p ROM for redmi Note 3 support yes or no?
When Android P sources will be available, then it will have support.
Dont expect it to be perfectly functional because many changes are done to android to avoid fragmentation and 2-year olds like kenzo can't take these changes easily.
A stable build may/may not arrive...

What a boss. ??
That depends on the availability of the correct source and vendor files. Stable one is kinda hard to come

Good Game.
P is already available for many Treble enabled devices, including Redmi 3S; So, keeping my fingers crossed for Kenzo
