Sprint .-.
Delete, misread post.

Then why do you keep mentioning U.S.Cellular? You're confusing us.
You're on Sprint, right?
All the US998 are identical, it doesn't matter whether "open market" LG US998 V30 bought from B&H Photo or from U.S.Cellular or Frankenstein converted from another model.
So you have a bootloader unlocked and rooted US998, and you're using it on Sprint. Right?
Have you checked the Sprint post-root thread?

I have a us cellular us998. Rooted. If i flash a custom rom other than stock i have to make a phone call to get data working. Of phone reboots i have to make another call. Is there a fix for this?
I think that is an AOSP issue. You can make a call to your voice mail, which does the same thing.
So aosp is not an option I take it. I'm on us998.

Normally that workaround is only necessary for VS996 on Verizon, not US998. Not sure why you have to do it. Are you on Verizon? Or US CELLULAR?
But you don't need custom ROMs if you don't want.
I'm on rooted stock firmware myself, with Magisk and other mods.
I am on us cellular network. I run rooted stock and actually like it but i get the itch to run custom roms. Just can't figure out the data part

What is your current build?
NPN25.137-43-5 is an update from NPN25.137-35, and is for Verizon.
NPN25.137-67 is an update from NPN25.137-15, and is for Latin America.
NPNS25.137-33-11 is an update from NPNS25.137-33-5, and is for Europe.

I'm really not sure but 137-35 looks familiar. I'm not on stock right now but i use the stock DEODEXED rom when I feel like stock. Is the 43-5 update the most recent one to that? I use sprint but I feel like that doesn't matter since it's carrier unlocked

The only U.S. OTA currently is the VZW one.
Any of the builds will likely work fine.

I flashed the Verizon one. The reason I asked my previous question is because Volte/WiFi Calling is important to me because I get LTE signal just fine in my area but no 3G/HSPA so I rely on those two for phone calls at home. Volte and WiFi calling are working good. Thanks for the upload.
Since this is the stock ROM would dirty flashing as a update work okay?
EDIT: Nevermind, I used my eyes and read the OP.
EDIT 2: Successfully flashed. You the man! Been waiting to get this VOLTE fix. Big thanks :good:

Hello
I'm using a T-Mobile Note-8 that has been unlocked (from T-Mobile) and currently have a Straight Talk (AT&T) service.
Reason for buying the T-Mobile version:
1. Easy unlock.
2. Easy access to hotspot.
Question:
How do I get WiFi calling enabled on this? I'm currently on the latest Oreo CRC2 build...
Searched around but NOT much information that I could find for my specific scenario.
Thanks
Max
Wow... Looks like the T-Mobile Note-8 forum is completely dead.
So there's NO one who is using this device on Straight Talk?

Thanks bro. I'm on oreo. And also another issue is I think straight talk doesn't technically support the features. I'm running CRC1 on my U1. I just downloaded the ATT CRC2 userdata file and was gonna flash that but also was actually gonna ask if you (or if you know anyone who may have) happen to have the CRC2 ATT CP file uploaded anywhere so I didn't have to download the whole stock firmware.

I would guess it would be less work for them. Figure they receive the firmware from LG and then put all there bloat and crap on it and then send the ota vs sending it back to LG to most likely upload to there server. It's been a while since I've been on a non nexus device so I coluld be wrong but either way the slow updates compared to google suck. Guess I got spoiled

I don't know if your carrier supports that on the H930. My first suggestions would be to reinstall the most recent H930 KDZ for your region. See if that works for you.
Second, @seadersn started a guide to help people, but it's advanced:

I think there is no wifi calling in European version
I have seen this working on another h930.
Right i am happy to pay £100 to anyone who can make this work on my v30 with Three!
Im in Essex Uk happy to travel within 70miles radius if thats the case!

Thank you very much
So to use this, you will need to be bootloader unlocked, magisk perma rooted, and twrp installed, DM Verity Disabled this is a must!!(its always good to make a nandroid before making any changes on your phone). What this will do is more or less provision your Lg G8 to your Desired Carrier, it will also let you change your apns, so you have volte working and also the data indicator will change to match the carrier. WIfi calling i have not been able to get working, i personally do not use it. .
*Copy the files manually, it seems flashing them directly is causing unforeseen issues*
1.Extract to Content of zip to Sdcard
2.Make a copy/backup of your own files apns.xml,,custom_apk_list.xml,telephony.xml inside /product/op/config and cust.prop from /product
3.Copy and paste the files from my zip to:
apns.xml,,custom_apk_list.xml,telephony.xml to /product/op/config
cust.prop to /product/op
make sure permissions are 644.
4.Reboot your device it should now be provisioned to your Desired Carrier.

Mr. zhu for bringing us TWRP.
After every boot I will be welcomed by this message:
"Current version is not available for user can't find matched cust. Check NT-code"
Additionally there is no VoLTE switch. At least I can access my APN settings now.

Hi. I have a LM-G820UM that I got off ebay a while ago. It boots as Sprint. It's unlocked and I'm on Tmobile. VOLTE/calls only work on 3G and if there is no 3G available then I can't receive/make calls. With Tmobile requiring VOLTE effective Jan, will this fix the issue to where I don't need to buy a new phone?

Only way to enable volte on a sprint unlocked phone , while active on tmobile is to bootloader unlock it. and flash my fix.

Only way to get Volte for your specific network is to unlock the bootloader, as you will need the op files from the network you want to use volte for.
Has anyone tried these on the Sprint V50 and/or GSI ROMs?

Thanks antintin. I am hoping someone does an pull of the current stock ROM for the Sprint V50 since Sprint doesn't provide KDZ's.
