Bringing my Verizon M9 to Sprint, many questions... - Sprint HTC One (M9)

I had an HTC ONE M9 that was IMEI blacklisted by Verizon, settled my account with them and now I'm trying to use it on Sprint which is my current provider. When I put my SIM in it says "This SIM card is not from Verizon Wireless." The phone refuses to pickup the Sprint network or connect. Hours on the phone with Verizon and Sprint both pointing the finger at each other, and the best advice I received was to factory reset with the Sprint SIM in, which didn't accomplish anything (same error message). I figured I'd take my hand at just flashing a Sprint ROM onto it since it's been sitting for almost 3 years now in the box practically brand new. I haven't done any phone flashing since my RAZR and EVO 4G so I'm incredibly rusty. From what I understand this is what I need to do:
Root the phone so I can turn S-OFF
Once S-OFF is achieved I can install twrp-3.2.2-0-hima.img
Use TWRP to create a full backup of the current firmware/ROM
Move 0PJAIMG_Sprint_HTC_One_M9_4.27.651.4_RUU.zip or Bad_Boyz_Sprint_ONE_M9_4.27.651.4_stock_rooted.zip to my phone's SD card (not sure what OPJAIMG is/means)
Flash the image using bootloader
Hopefully all this will get the phone to detect my Sprint SIM and from there I can contact Sprint to have them add my IMEI onto my plan.
Am I missing anything? Is there any walkthroughs I can check/use to help? I've been reading around for a few hours and have a million tabs open trying to piece this together. I'm still unsure as to how I can root/S-OFF the device and I feel the steps may be jumbled, but would really like to get a full backup before I attempt to install a new Firmware/ROM.
Thanks for any suggestions and please forgive any terminology I may have misused.

From what I've found so far I won't be able to unlock the bootloader without paying $25 for SunShine 3.5.13 so I guess all of this is dead in the water. fastboot oem unlock and fastboot oem get_identifier_token both come up as unknown command in ADB and there is no OEM Unlock option in the developer menu. Verizon is the worst

If you are unlocked, will it EVER lock you down?

Sorry if that's a confusing question. So like... If I unlock right now on Bionix-V will it lock me down if I flash another rom (ANY rom)?
Because I plan on unlocking my phone early, and then switch to AT&T or travel to another country in the far-future. Just so I'm prepared and don't have to do last minute unlocks.
Dont know the answer to your question, but in the past I have unlocked every phone I have had through tmobile. I get the unlock code, have an old ATT sim card on hand just for this. I simply enter the unlock code when I slip in the att sim.
If you have the unlock code (usually sent via email from tmobile) saved somewhere, you can always re-unlock it if it gets relocked with a rom flash
When I bought my mobile, it was already unlocked. I've been flashing different ROMs since my purchase and so far it hasn't locked back down on me. However, I have seen my hubby's phone relock itself after a crash once and it's still completely stock - bloatware and all (very weird).

A couple of questions

Hello, I just recently got an Atrix off of ebay. I want to get into playing witih android phones. I've already read numerous threads, got the android sdk, rsd lite, etc.. I've been reading about flashing, and to be careful of what you flash based on what firmware versions are already on the phone.
The problem I have is the phone is subsidy locked, but it's locked in a way that not even AT&T sims work. It always asks for the pin, and the code AT&T gave me (they stated it was the subsidy unlock code) fails. So I looked at
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356121
However, I have no idea what's on this phone. I can't access any settings menu in the phone, as it sticks to the "Emergency Calls Only" screen. i don't know what firmware is on the phone, what radio is on it, etc.. I don't want to try to flash a radio file and have it brick my phone. I've read quite a bit this past hour, but I'm at a crossroads here and don't know what to do to figure out what is exactly on this phone. If I knew what I had exactly, I'd be a lot more confident in flashing things.
I do know the bootloader is unlocked (the phone boots saying "Unlocked"). That's all I know :\
EDIT: Disregard. It took me another 6 hours but I finally got everything figured out (had to boot it with no sim to view things, then from there I got into it all). Rooted, CWM, flashed the bell radio and my sim works for now. Thanks for the valuable info that's listed here!
Any help will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
hey,
I do have the atrix which is netwoek subsidy locked.
I even cant use at&t. I am outside us currently.
Could you tell me how did you flashed bell radio & where u got that.
Thanks

ANS UL40 Android 7.1.1 HELP

I have a ANS UL40 phone through Assurance wireless / >Virgin Mobile> Sprint.. and am trying to root this phone so I can get the SPC code to run DFS tools. Have used DFS and loaded phone and unlock with default password, but when I try 000000 spc unlock says device offline and all prompts in all fields go from yellow to red and in a few minutes go back to yellow showing device info.
I need info off this phone to flash my SM-N900P phone over to Assurance Wireless. The UL40 phone uses a sim card, have tried in note 3 but no service and then sim locked please reboot phone. I have tries on UL40 many different rooting apks and through pc. Most say root fail or your phone doesn't seem to be able to root. Any help would be appreciated. To root the ANS UL40 and also how to flash over Note 3. I have done flashing before on a note 2. So i basically know what to do. When I did try to flash over the note 3 I just get your account cannot be verified when calling 611 (without the sim) but when I insert sim its says no sim or sim locked reboot phone. Thanks
Guess nobody knows

do you know which 32bit drivers this phone might use?
I tried that one and it didn't root it and so many other programs and or apk's. Do not know if this phone is arm -- 64-- or 32. I do know that the maker of the phone actually is Teleepock company in China ** http://www.teleepoch.com/en/ ** no info on this model phone on their website..
Default file manager is CyanogenMod File Manager

Hi,
My friend just got the same phone and while setting it up for her I noticed that the default file manager is called CyanogenMod File Manager. It's probably meaningless but thought I'd share it just in case there's some sort of CyanogenMod back door. Good luck and if you do get it rooted please let me know.
I found a paid root that will root UL 40 Assurance choose the 6 mo lan.. https://www.oneclickroot.com/support-packages/
I wouldn't have asked on here if I wanted to pay for it, and they are not a guarantee they can do it. have read somewhere that someone ask them to do the same phone and they could not............ And no still no root. Probably does not matter. Talked to Assurance wireless rep today and they said lots of people are complaining about this phone. I have had in less than 2 weeks of getting it, had to have them warranty it and they sent me the same one. It would reboot on it's own and yes did factory reset. Now have the replacement, haven't done any kind of rooting or anything and on day 2 it starting to not be able to make phone calls. Says phone is not responding. Did a factory reset on this one and still doing same thing. Sometimes it does make a call and sometimes not. Pissed I am....
I stumbled across a site. Idk but it looks like it could contain some valuable info you may need or may be looking for. Send me a message or email me for the link. Since I've not posted before, it won't allow me to post the link.
I have decided to go to another provider for my cell phone and the UL40 phone will be no more. After talking to them so many times and finding they are complete idiots. Because they keep sending me a phone that stops working correctly after 1-3 days. Even before I started trying to root. I even talk to a real English speaking (LOL) person and they told me what I already knew, the ANS UL40 phone is a complete piece of ****. So many people have complained to them about that phone they decided not to ship out anymore. Now what kind of phone i will get from other carrier, I'll have to wait and see. Thanks all.............

I am looking for a custom ROM for my ANS UL40
Hello.
I was wondering if there would be anyone nice enough to make a custom ROM for the ANS UL40. I would do i tbut I don't have the coding skills or patience to do so.
ANS UL40 "Cast" compatibility w/Actiontec ScreenBeam Mini2
Asking if ANS UL40 "Cast" will run Actiontec ScreenBeam Mini2.
UL40 is "CAST" standard compatible with Mini2 (WiFi Mirocast and INTEL WiDi certified) ?
UL40 able to PARE WiFi and update Mini2 firmware. UL40 says CONNECTED, but click "CAST" and phone goes back to WiFi. Mini2 screen says Connection Failed.
If able to preform firmware update, then UL40 is communicating w/Mini2 so, UL40 should be compatible, but "CAST" fails.
Please advise.
Many kind thanks.
Any luck unlocking this phone so far?

Hope someone can figure out how to gain root access on this phone I have it and It would be a blessing
you can unlock the bootloader in android dev settings "OEM unlocking", once in bootloader cmds like "fastboot oem unlock" or "fastboot flashing unlock" do nothing when connected with usb, what a shame. In recovery (vol up + power) there's an option to mount system, it does but I doubt that can lead to anything root access wise, btw, root noob.

Could you elaborate!?
In which market are you in?
It seems to me that they are still shipping it in many markets Assurance Wireless is in, like Oregon for example... so how did you come by that information?
I got this phone a couple days ago and got my msl code by running adb logcat while dialing ##data# and entering the wrong code, it was 536978 and used this on DFS to change it to 000000 then I was able to access everything once I entered ##diag# and then 000000, and enabled diagnostics. If I can get a working stock firmware or boot IMG I could root through magisk and then do separate fastboot boot (magisk patched)boot.img. I am unable to find a stock firmware for this device if anyone can let me know and I'll have root for us.

Issue with unlocking - Please help

Hello,
I have an SM-N950U from TMB which was purchased direct from Samsung when it was just launched after the whole debacle of the Note 7.
Phone has been working fine on TMB this whole time. Today I switched to VZW and attempting to have the phone unlocked.
I tried to use the Device Unlock app on the phone, with no luck. It fails when I try to Permanently Unlock the phone.
I called TMB for assistance, they said that the manager has tried to process it manually and has been unable to do so after multiple attempts. Escalated to higher support who got on the phone and said she's unable to help and does not know why it is not working. Said she will be escalating to a higher support group, but as of yet, nothing from anyone.
Is there any way of unlocking this phone without TMB?
I've attempted to flash VZW via ODIN, both U and U1, with no luck. I also tried the U1 XAA and still the same thing, I get a message "Network locked SIM card inserted".
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am at a total loss and want to continue using this phone as I've been, just with VZW now.
Side note, maybe it's failing because the phone is already unlocked, just doesnt work with VZW? Not sure if thats a possibility, but is there any way to check to see if the phone is in fact unlocked or not?
Anyone?

Question Any way around "Locked device"

This phone was given to me by a friend, he says he got drunk, changed his lock code and doesn't remember. After a factory reset it just stays on a screen asking for a Tracfone SIM and he kept his SIM & moved halfway across the country.
I just wanna know if there is any means around this?
I called Tracfone, gave them the IMEI & they told me the phone will be eligible for unlock in about a month, I don't wanna wait as I can't root my S22 Ultra and I just wanna get back in the rooting scene, LOL
I know, call me impatient....
I apologize, I didn't notice a post w/ same issue but on a Cricket phone whereas mine is Tracfone but same situation.

What's the Model and build number? Is the bootloader locked or unlocked? Without knowing much detail I'd recommend finding the firmware that matches your phone and fastboot flash that or at least TWRP recovery if you can find one that works with yours and then you'd have more flexibility. This is all if your bootloader has been unlocked already though and if it hasn't I'd start looking through some threads on how to do that if you don't already know how to. If it's possible with your variant too I know carrier devices are pretty strict on unlocking the bootloader but Idk about tracphone variants.
It's not unlocked.
It's the Tracfone Moto G Power
Look up a thread here on xda about unlocking the bootloader for Motorola devices and come back here if you can unlock it. You'll have to do that before you can even flash anything such as partitions like a custom recovery.
