The chipset also supports Quick Charge 3.0, NFC and Galileo. But that doesn't mean that it's working on our phone

You have to modify the kernel if the motherboard supports it

Been looking at some roms. With the difference of the quad core and the dual core would there be any issues with any of the rooms currently available?

NONE of the GT-I9300 (International GS III) ROMS will work with the North American Dual-Core GS III variants. Period.
Sorry...the current roms I have been reading about such as Foxhound have been used on the SG3 that have quad core processors. The US version has dual cores. Is this a factor when choosing a rom?
Does that help any? Thanks

There is a root method in the AT&T GSIII forum area.
Here is the thread:

Hi, i want ask if someone can update the drivers of the camera to add the 4k rec, one of the 2 versions of xiaomi mi4c have the same sensor (samsung s5k3m2 ISOCELL) and LETV X500 too!! and it can record in 4k, so i think the problem of redmi note 2 are the drivers and libraries, some one can do a porting ?

wenashoro! I think he forgot the SoC

RN2 could record 4k 30 FPS, but we dont have source.
Here the original Xiaomi source released: https://github.com/MiCode/Xiaomi_Kernel_OpenSource/tree/master
and here the source of mi4i (ferrari) camera & probably other drives of RN2

you forgot the different soc
~ Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Prime ~
Can be mixed the driver from the xiaomi's github with the kernel's source of other phone with the same soc (sony_30.0.A.1.35 and HTC E9a53mldtul-3.10.61-g5e0fd0f ) ?
How to make some sources:
Add sugar,5 eggs, some random other phone source and mix all
Jk of course, why is this on devolopment section?

good, talk to devs that are working on cm, maybe he can do it
OF course this phone can record 4k at 30FPS. Now on CM/AOSP u can go to 720p 120FPS. But Xiaomi blocked the power of this phone on MIUI. Without sources we cant do anything i think.
I want to know, i have a redmi note 4 mediatek. In india it'll be launched with quallcomm. If in the future there are custom roms for the quallcomm model, can i flash it on the mediatek model? Or will i need different roms? Cause if it ain't the same rom i'm going to sell mine. I'm sure the qualcomm model will have many custom roms.

If a Snapdragon version arrives, you wont be able to use any ROMs developed for it. It will be similar only in name and appearance but if the hardware is different any development will not be cross compatible.
Even if they're different ONLY in processor? Thank you for your reply.

Yes. Different processor requires different codes and files. These 'codes and files' differ SO MUCH because of the different processors.
Thank you, now i just have to buy another one ?

Title. I know they are VERY similar, only difference I could find on gsmarena was bluetooth 4.1 vs 4.2 which, in my mind, could be a firmware thing. If not, maybe we should have a subforum for each.

ROMs for Redmi Note 4 Snapdragon works with Redmi note 4X.
What about global variant vs Indian variant? Some have more LTE bands than others. Will I lose any bands if i flash a ROM?

IIRC Global variant is 4X na? If yeah Roms works fine.
Whatever the redmi-note-4 variants ships with 625 / codenamed Mido, are compatible.
Hello guys,
as we know the mediatek CPU is kinda laggy for playing games,
i wanna ask what is the best custom ROM for this device?
it's just so sad the 64 GB ROM and 4 GB RAM device can't maintain games like Mobile Legend or PUBG just because some kind thermal function . I really appreciate if any of you guys would recommend the custom ROM.
Best Regards,
Person who get this free device from his brother lol.
