Hi,
I purchased the TG01 in February and I have lost my temper with it because it's so horrible, but I know there are a few developers out there looking for a real device to work with, so I thought I'd sell it.
I'm looking for anything over £65, It's in good working order with a few scratches on the screen and it's generally in OK condition, but the speaker is quite quiet.
If you're interested please reply to this thread.
Thanks
PS, I will consider swapping phones if you want

Hold that thought, we might be able to buy it from you for the Android project if we can raise the money. £65 shouldnt be too difficult to raise!
Please dont sell it before speaking to us about it.
I'm in Blackburn Lancashire, whereabouts are you?

.. is there an Android TG-01 developer fund - I'll contribute if you're able to buy a cheap TG-01
i'll contribuite too..
I have posted in the Android discussion thread and Alex has kindly offered to hold the donations:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=672234&page=25
decide between yourselves if you will and start a donations thread and get the money rolling. Someone needs to pm tjcooper17 to ask him if hes still got it and whether he's happy to wait until the money is raised.
I'll ask dzo (or any developer users recommend with a track record for Android development) once we have confirmation that the purchase is going to happen.
Best of luck
tjcooper17 can you post some pics of the device since you say it has some scratches and also what comes with the phone, is the box, charger and everything with it and lastly is it sim locked to orange or unlocked?
Hi guys,
I'm in Shaftesbury, Dorset. The device is locked to Orange, I'll post some pictures in just a minute and I'll send it with everything I got in the box:
Phone
Charger
Manuals
USB to PC Lead
CD Drivers
I should be able to get you the device including delivery for £70 if that's OK.
Pictures in just a second
I'm having real trouble uploading the pictures at the moment, is there an email address i can send them to?

I think he wants to show us the phone.
Well, I believe him anyways
@tjcooper17:
What about making the pictures smaller?
Than you could place them here at xda as an attachment on your next post.
Sorry to butt in on this thread! We have a donation thread for TG01 Android development :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=804051
.. and a direct link to PayPal :

.. so far, £15 has been donated
Regards,
Alex.
OK I've compressed them quite a bit, didn't realise how big they were.
thanks for the pics.
The thread for the donations has been closed down by mods.. I'll pm the mod on how we can do this without collecting money on here. The only other way I can think of is if enough people pledge to put money towards the phone, then we donate to you directly.
Leave it with me.

It appears that the word donations is contentious.
So if we want to do this, the best thing is everyone PLEDGES what they are willing to put towards a device on this thread, once we have enough money and a developer who wants to help, we can pay tjcooper17 someway and get him to send the device to the developer.
Sorry about the mess, I guess these things are there to protect xda users from fraudulent transactions so its probably wise not to ignore them.
On that note, I will say if anyone has any suggestions how this can be done without hickups, please feel free to put your ideas forwards.
Lastly, Endrix is the lead developer here, I have been asked why I am not accepting the device myself, it is simply because I do not possess the reverse engineering skills to take this project forward and neither do I have the time to learn to do so.
I am quite happy to help out where I can and look forward to purchasing a tg01 if android is successfully ported to it which I look forward to being a part of.
Q&A for ZTE V768 (Concord) and V768G (Midnight) Development
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for ZTE V768 (Concord) and V768G (Midnight) Development. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

Was wondering if anyone has any updates on custom roms, unlocking possibilities, custom recovery etc. Just bought this phone for $5 at 7-11 and thought it may be a nice phone to play around with. So far it's rooted based on other forum posts but since then the project seems to be abandoned?

unfortunately, i bricked my phone in a rather silly way. (flashed a test recovery image and discovered that the device will get stuck in a bootloop if its recovery is damaged) if i could get one for $5 here i'd have already bought another! that's a hell of a deal. i was really looking forward to getting something running on this device, but with no viable full flash restore mechanism (that i'm aware of yet) it's a rocky battle.
i don't suppose you'd be willing to purchase another one of these and mail it to me? i can paypal you however much it'd be to buy one (or maybe even two o.o) and ship it, so long as the phone really is only $5. that's a really really appealing price to be able to have a second chance at bringing something interesting to a minimally-supported device!

let me check all the stores in my area again...if not i could always send you this one since i originally bought it to play around with and get something working on it to make it decently usable... pretty much more than just talk, possibly even unlock for use on att towers since coverage here is nonexistent on net10. I have a galaxy s5 i just got today which will be my main phone but this one i was mainly just hoping to get running to introduce my mom to smartphones as an xmas gift. With no coverage here on it's current service the thing is kind of useless to me atm anyways. just message me where you want me to mail it and i'll let you know if i'm able to get anything sent out. I probably won't be able to send anything till after black friday since my work schedule interferes with getting to the post office anytime before that. I'd estimate the thing should cost no more than $5 to ship though. if you need the microsd it came with i will leave it in the phone too. its a 4gb card.

Did anything ever come of this? I have 6 of these that I would very much like custom ROMs for. If I didn't need all of them I would certainly send you one. I work for 7-11 so guess where I got them and for how much lol. I actually need 10 for a project I am working on, but haven't had any luck finding anymore in my area either. If i do i will be glad to send one. Looks like I quoted the wrong post but you get the point. :fingers-crossed:
Rooting ZTE 768G Tracfone
I've tried KingoRoot for days now. 4 days to be exact. I can't seem to find ANYTHING that will just simply root this phone. I downloaded and tried VRoot now at LEAST a dozen times in the 2 hours I've been working on it this morning.
Is there a way to root a phone using Android Studio?? I mean the program is there to build and work on Android...wouldn't it have some way to root a phone as well?
A friend gave me this little ZTE 768G Midnight...and it sucks. No memory worth speaking of but if I can get it rooted I can use Link2SD to expand that....
is there anyone working on a simple root method as of now since vs98512b ?

Don't think so.
I believe with 12 you can roll back still. That's the only option. And since it still works... No real need for anyone to work on another method. Sure it might be more convenient but putting the time and effort in might not be worth it just for convenience

You can root at 10b. Install supersu and have it maintain root across otas. Then you can take all the otas and preserve root. That's what I did. Do not bump with twrp. You must keep the original recovery in order to take the otas. Once on 12b, you can bump but if a new ota comes out, you'll have to go back to 10b first.

Yeah, @roirraW "edor" ehT said McAfee is flagging it as a Trojan, but that could be due to what it does:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59061762&postcount=84
Had my stock G3, downgraded to 10B, rooted with IORoot, added SuperSU with survivability... went to do the Verizon Hidden Menu and realized I had to take the 12B OTA again. And now, it says no updates are available and that my Software Status is "Modified". Might be stuck on this one. Got a meeting in 10 minutes, then I'll get back at it.
Wrong thread, my bad.

Update - this WON'T work with complete stock 12b. So, you will have to go back to 10b and root there, preserve root across OTAs, and take the 11c and 12b OTA to get 12b rooted.
Well I flashed back to 10b from 12b (via tot) and it wiped my imei number. Am I supposed to remove my Sim card or something none of the guides say anything.
I ended up using the imei converter and fixing my imei but I couldn't connect to 4G very well and it kept saying I had voice and data roaming. I rooted my phone but since the 4g wasn't working I unrooted it so the software status said official again.
I ended up taking the otas back to 12b and took it to Verizon and they gave me a new sim card and now it is working again but I want to root my phone and flash back to 10b again but I don't want to mess the Sim card up again. Anyone help?

You've answered the question yourself. Supposed to or not, does it really matter? If you want to be sure nothing happens to the SIM next time, then by all means take it out. The directions don't say to take the SIM out for a very good reason: it's not required.
I've largely sat on the sidelines recently because all sorts of users who don't usually post refuse to help themselves by using the tools available to them, besides their brains and their eyes (and this part isn't directed at you): reading and the forum's search tools, are coming out of the woodwork and expecting information to be repeated ad nauseum. Or even Google, even if googling specifically for info on XDA.
There's nothing wrong with wanting help or asking for help, but it gets tiresome holding user's hands 1000 at a time on a daily basis. This is why I've all but refrained from posting my true feelings regarding all this demanding going on.
Maybe you don't deserve this whole rant but guess what? Like someone else I recall recently on here, you just happen to have been the straw to break the camel's back in my case.
99% of the time, if anyone...anyone at all has experienced something similar, it's been reported and you can find the information yourself. If you can't find the information, more than likely it's because the information isn't there to be had. Pure speculation here: I have no idea if others have taken their SIM out when flashing using TOT or KDZ method. I haven't yet, but I haven't once been able to TOT on four different PCs from desktops to laptops, with different cables and with different USB ports on the same PCs, under both Windows 7 and 8.
At this point I sincerely don't expect you to read all this because I am definitely on a rant, but if you do, good for you.
His answer might've been slightly smart, but your reply to him was downright rude and I don't think he deserved it. You, on the other hand, posed a question you can answer yourself. For god's sakes, try it! Try it with the SIM out and see what happens. Then you'll have your answer.
If you or anyone else feel you must direct any sort of response regarding this to me, PLEASE PM me. For anyone responding to this in this thread, I'll block you if I'm nice.
Sincerely: good day, take care, good night.

Lol you just took it too far...TLDR
His post was just sarcastic and I didn't know if he was 'smh' at the idea of taking out my Sim card or not. I've done my research and nobody agrees upon taking the Sim card out or not. I just don't want to **** up my phone again. I've rooted unlocked flash Roms and gone the whole nine yards on my G2. I am not at all new to this.
Guess I was just hoping someone had a plain answer instead of long paragraphs saying why they are so butthurt.

You asked a really dumb question, so I posted I really dumb answer, if you took it as smart arse, ohh well.
Toasting a SIM is pretty rare that's why it's not instructed to do. If it's happening to you, what do you think you should do, leave it In and keep frying them? No, you should take it out, because you have proven you are one of the rare ones this happens to.
I mean, really, if you walk into traffic and get hit by a car, should you coninue to walk into traffic? Only if you want to keep getting hit by cars.
See, if I really wanted to post a smart arse answer, it would have looked more like this ^^.

Really, you can't get tot or kdz to work? I must have missed you mentioning that before, or I just forgot.
Not sure it would help, but on a previous device (i forget which) it would only flash on a clean pc, and only once. After one flash or try it would never work again until I re-flashed the pc. Really weird I know. I have a spare laptop I used so it wasn't a huge inconvenience, but no matter what I did, or sugestions I tried from the community, it just would not work until I cleaned the pc again.

I meant to specifically mention that KDZ works for me every time and on any PC. It's just TOT that always says waiting for connection. I've searched and followed at least four alternate sets of directions, even for problems I haven't had the opportunity to have, like TOT finishing with the wrong number. Tried unplugging and re-plugging, different versions of drivers and the TOT program.
I hadn't mentioned it anywhere so you're not going crazy. ☺ I do have spare computer hardware and considered trying it on a fresh install but I didn't feel I had much hope of that working. I had even thought about using Windows 7 32-bit or XP.
With your experience, now it makes me curious if it would work for me. I might try that next time just to see, whenever that may be. Thank you! I'll let you know either way what the result is.

I'd like to know?
send me pm ill send u instructions there
Deleted, so I don't contribute to help form anyone's opinions. And if anyone see's my old posts in a quoted response, I'm here saying that I was wrong and I had no proof of and rule breaking here on XDA.

Im dying for a solution here. Please do tell.
i m not giving solution just can do via usb over network
Why is this thread not deleted? It's obvious BS in this community we share information freely, not via PM.
u just need to install flexihub and teamviewer what else information you need?
My apologies to the OP. I was unaware of the details involved to achieve the unlocking of the sim. So here im admitting to my jumping to conclusions and being a asshole. You would think with how long I've been here on XDA that I would know better than to be so judgmental. So I'm sorry to the OP for opening my big mouth. My bad bro.

^^^^^ this.. I tried to pm the OP and he told me I had to install all this crap via "TeamViewer" and something else on my computer, then i had to install skype or some other application all just to get some instructions from this person. I mean, why can't you just post the instructions here for everyone to see, and use? My having to go install all that crap on my computer, in an attempt to get your so called directions makes me not trust you. Why do you gotta be so God damn shady?
Anyways, im not wasting anymore of my time looking at your stupid/uninformitive thread. Im just wasting my time and bumping this worthless thread. Smh

It's also complete BS I have learned it's actually impossible to get a Sprint S7 unlocked anyway besides on the Sprint side. So unless this guy is hacking Sprints servers he is scamming people.

What is this, another advertisement (wolf) in sheeps clothing? Only telling you how in pm's so they can charge you $$$ without their thread getting deleted by the mods, instead of posting the instructions here for everyone to see? Seems sketchy to me... what do you think mods???
I mean, if im wrong please forgive me but the op not posting the instructions here tells me their hiding something??? OP, and thoughts?

To perform certain functions (sometimes including SIM unlock), you need a dongle or some other piece of hardware (most of which are expensive). Hence why the OP requires you to install flexihub, which allows your PC to access remote USB ports and, thus, remote USB devices. So, now that we are aware of what is going on here, please check the judgemental attitudes at the door, and if you don't want to participate in this thread, then you are free not to...
The OP is provide a service for free for the benefit of the community. Now, if this was not provided for free, then that would be a different story, and I would have shut the thread down long ago if I had proof of that.

Not in this case, I've confirmed with a sprint tier 3 support technician at a call center here in Portland. It's a white list on the server side. You can use all the hardware you want, do whatever you want to the phone without the sprint server authorizing ICCID unlock it's not happening. Period. So again this is a scam.

You may very well be correct. However, I don't intend on choking off a thread that could potentially work until we see confirmation either way by someone who has tried the service.

You can do research to confirm Sprints new method of of controlling ICCID unlocks via the the server side. It's all out there. Meantime potentially our xda members could be getting ripped off.. Just saying. But hey what do I know lol.

Funny, because there's a user here on xda who has been unlocking Sprint HTC devices for a while now, and it has been confirmed by many others...

Like I said, you may be correct, and there may be something specific about the S7, but we need confirmation from a user here, not from Sprint tech support...
but i m wondering why people not posting feedback who got unlocked by me. i have other threads check if i have done scam or some thing with any one .
i m in such filed since 2005

Do you have any proof of your allegations? Because I didn't, and I deleted my posts cuz i had no proof that the OP had broken any XDA rules. In addition, until we see a user here on XDA that own's a galaxy s7 (Sprint) that says his process works or it doesn't work, we should continue to keep a neutral opinion and let the OP do his thing.

I have looked over your other threads and I seen no indication of you breaking any rules, or ripping anyone off, so hopefully you and I are good. Are you and I good? I went back and deleted my inappropriate comments and I apologized to you for my opening my big mouth.
As for the others not reporting feedback, if you in fact helped them unlock their phones, then they have a obligation to you to post their feedback, and if they didn't, then SHAME on them.. And did you mean to say that you've been a member since 2005?

You may very well be correct, BUT until you, or someone else has any proof of the OP ripping them off, or scammed them using this service, everyone accusing the OP of scamming should keep their opinions to themselves, IMO.
And to the MODERATOR, perhaps you should delete some of my unneeded comments, just to clean his thread up a bit so my big mouth doesn't help form any bad opinions of the OP? Anyways, imma shut up now and stay out of the OP's thread, lol...

They're not Interchangeable...
The following model devices are the only ones that are Interchangeable with the SM-J327P:
SM-J327
SM-J327R4
SM-J327T1
SM-J327AZ
SM-J327A
SM-J327V
SM-J327VPP
The ribbon to Mainboard connector for the SM-J320R4 is in a completely different location than where the SM-J327P is located.
FYI... Sites like Amazon and Ebay has new Digitizer displays for the SM-J327P that starts around $25 and up.
Good Luck!
