I got the Qtek 8500 for my wife, and I'd like to leave it in the easter egg with the sound of a chicken... so I'd like the media player to repeat the same track over and over again, but it doesn't look like it's possible unless I clean out the storage card and just leave one track. Im new to WinMo, Are there work arounds? Or do I have to install some other mobile player? I'd rather not, but if there are no work arounds, I'll do it. Grateful for any input.
Thanks
Hi,
you can repeat the same track directly in windows media player. just use "menue-random/repeat" and activate "repeat".
for adding music/sounds to wmp you need to refresh library. then choose only the sound/song from media library and activate repeat.
there's no need of wiping your storage except for the one you like to hear.

this actually doesn't work. Maybe you can explain more. But it just doesn't work.
In your music folder make a new one named as you wish...
Then copy the song you want to repeat alone in that specific folder. Next, go to WM Player > menu > Library > Menu > Open File > select the song from the "new folder" > hit: Enter or Play; it will start the song. Finally go to: Menu > Shuffle/Repeat > and activate Repeat...
I just downloaded ^3 Music Player at the suggestion of many, and it is an awesome player. I want to keep it as my main player because it just looks cool. And unlike the stock player on the Vibrant, the Album Art is crisp and clear. But I noticed this app does not show up in the Program Monitor widget to chose End All. So how do you turn it off. Currently Im going into Setting > Applications > Manage Applications > 3 > Force Stop. Is anyone else not seeing this program as running in the Program Monitor widget?
I see your new to android... the following link deals with your question in part... but mostly with android and memory management.. (I read you have a program/app/task manager ) ... basically apps made to follow android api's do not need a dedicated stop/exit button, for media players, pause and back button ends the app ... so please read the info found in the link... you don't have to install any app , that's up to you, I just want to help you understand Android...

Thanks. But, didnt help me to understand why ^3 is not showing under the Program Monitor when it is running. When you play the stock MP3 player and when you hit back all the way to the home screen, the music is still playing. Same goes for the ^3 music player. The only difference is that the stock player will show as an active application under the Samsung Progarm Monitor. So all you do is just hit End Application and the app is no longer running and music stops. ^3 does not show as an active application in the Samsung Program Monitor as it is playing. Even if you hit pause on the stock MP3 player and then hit back until you get to the Home Screen, the stock player still shows as an Active Application. So when you say for media players pause or back ends the App, that doesn seem so since the stock mp3 player continues to show as an active application when it is paused.
In the end I installed Advanced Task Killer. When I run ^3, advanced task killer does show it is running when it is playing, so I just use the kill option on that for now.
....from the built in lollipop media player
i'd guess it should be the same as any version of android. just go to app manager select the app and clear defaults. i don't let any of my video players be a default since some are better at certain tasks than others. archos is my go to player though.

ya, you would think. but there is no video player in the app list or anywhere.
Just install another media player and it should clear the default.

You can try to un-check the option in
Settings -> Developer options -> Use NuPlayer
default media player is likely the photos app. Try clearing defaults on that. I am assuming you have another video player installed.
I had the same problem and this was happening on multiple apps. I had no defaults selected for any of these. It kept opening video player from gallery app. Just need to disable this app in settings/apps and it will work as it should with the app picker
Hi,
I've received my Honor 7 recently and reinstalled all my previous android applications (I used before a Nexus 4).
I use n7player for music playing but unfortunately, even if I check under "default apps / music" and select n7player, when I press play with my headphones, it's default music player witch starts.
I could not disable the application as it's in gray state. If I stop the services. music stops but If I press play again, it's again the default music player witch is starting.
Any idea?
Regards
Ok, sorry guys, just found this discussion about the same subjet:

How to disable video auto play on mobile phones? Media > Autoplay OFF does not work!
Mobile Chrome > Settings > Site Settings > Media > Autoplay BLOCKED
DOES NOT disable video auto play, just go to any site like CNN and it still launches (loud) videos as soon as you visit. So how can it be done?
correct me if im wrong but if you change autoplay from Autoplay OFF that means
all video will be playing not muted (with sound) ... read the google chrome documentation
Okay the word is BLOCKED, it says AUTO PLAY BLOCKED, not off, so this should mean NO AUTOPLAY.
because the toggle is to AUTO PLAY ALLOWED.
So AUTO PLAY BLOCKED should block videos, but it does not, so how do we block video auto playing on widely used sites like for example, CNN.
my video are auto play if you scroll pass them but usually without sound (you need to unmute them)
im not really sure perhaps you can disable "background sync" and setting media to "ask first" on chrome ...
