My Z5C E5823 wont connect or get any LTE network, only H+ at most.
I'm on Telstra network, other sim doesnt work too. But works just fine if I popped it to my Mi Max 2.
I can see both LTE and 3G network if I have to manually search for network operator, but selecting LTE network will produce similar result.
Downloaded the appropriate APN settings, same.
Tried to set LTE as preferred network type, same.
No data, no signal on LTE mode.
I don't know much about the history of this phone, got this from an acquaintance who also has this issue from the moment he got it.
Android 7.1.1 (32.4.A.1.54)
Baseband Version: 8994-FAAAANAZQ-00065-37
Unrooted
Bootloader Locked
the same thing happens to me and with the same baseband

Howzit guys,
I brought a HTC Aria in the USA on AT&T network. I came back to SA and rooted my phone put Android v2.2 on (phone came with v2.1) thinking that would unlock the phone, but it didn't. I ended up looking on the net for a website that I could get an unlock code for my phone. Long story short, I found one, paid for it and it worked. I'm using the phone on Vodacom no matter what I do I can't get 3G or HSDPA to work, only GPRS. HSDPA and 3G work fine in the states.
After doing some research I noticed that in the Mobile Network settings on the phone there is 3 options under Network Mode:
1. WCDMA only
2. GSM only
3.GSM / WCDMA auto
Now from what I've seen I need to use WCDMA to get the 3G / HSDPA to work, but when I select option 1. I don't get any signal and then phone eventually switches to GSM automatically. I was at work on the weekend helping a customer with her laptop and she had a 8•ta 3G modem, and 8•ta 3G modems are currently running off of MTN's network I was told this by an 8•ta technician and I noticed when connecting the modem it said something regarding WCDMA.
So now my question, if I change to MTN do you think I will be able to use 3G / HSDPA on my phone?
Any info regarding this will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
The American version of the Aria uses different 3G frequencies (because that's what AT&T uses), so unfortunately your phone will not work with 3G in South Africa. There is a different version of the Aria (called Gratia in most regions) that is the exact same phone except it supports the correct 3G frequencies for your country, but there's nothing you can do with the phone you have now to make it work.
I have a Htc desire, the original. Originally its unlocked from purchase and its from the UK, I have now traveled abroad to Canada and got a plan with data, but the fastest connection I can get is 'E' edge. In the UK it was atleast 'H' hsdpa. I thought it would be the APN setting that were not correct but I have tried everything I can find and still it only connects to Edge. I recently went back to the UK and it went back to a hsdpa connection. Is this something to do with frequency or a rom change that can help me connect with hsdpa in Canada. I asked this question here as this may apply to all phones and not just my htc desire.
Did you try to manually switch to 3g? It's under mobile networks in settings.
life!
If you mean Network Mode and then switch that from GSM/WCDMA from auto to WCDMA, I tried that, it loses connection to the network operator and just stays like that until I switch it back.

The carrier you use probably has HSDPA on the 850/1900 frequency, and the HTC Desire you bought in Europe is likely 900/2100. So no, you won't get HSDPA in Canada.
For verification, what carrier are you using in Canada?
I think you can't get faster Internet, because of the different frequencies.
Try to exchange the phone and get one that also works in Canada.
Im using Fido in Canada.
I bought a Note ii clone from China http://www.dhgate.com/product/1-1-n7100-note-2-mtk6589-quad-core-android/160552013.html It states that it has850/2100 WCMA 3G bands, and i am on Virgin mobile in Canada which is a WCDMA network only that uses 850/1900 and LTE thus i figured it would work. I put in the SIM card and the phone right away told me my phone number and that it is a Virgin SIM i was extremely happy. Yet it said no service when i asked for the phone to connect automatically it said can not connect to network now please try later. When i searched manually it cound Virgin 3G and then again when i chose it i got the same message! I have factory reset the phone and have restarted it taking the battery and SIM out. I have downloaded Mobileuncle and it states the phone actually not only has the 850 but also the 1900 WCDMA bands, now i am baffled. Am i doing something wrong? why is it not working? I have it set at auto gsm/wcdma for preferred and nothing. I did try the second SIM slot with a Rogers SIM and it worked for GSM as the second SIM is only GSM, Also in unclemobile under engineer mode>engineer mode (android)> phone information it states the phone is on GSM auto (PRL) and i have changed it to different settings, but they wont stick, every time i change it get out and come back the GSM auto (PRL) comes back, any way to fix this to WCDMA preffered and make it stick? Is this the issue? Since 2 days ago Canada has a new blacklist for stolen phones i checked the list just to make sure, but the IMEI number isn't blacklisted.
I have input all the info. i know and things i tried, if anyone can help with this or have any suggestions i would be grateful!
Thanks in advance/
Hi,
I recently purchased a XT1527 - AT&T go phone and it was working well in USA as I got 4G signals all over.
I am now back to India using Idea network, the phone gives me only 2g network
I even tried *#*#4636#*#* and set the preferred network to
a) WCDMA only - couldn't find any network
b) LTE only - gives me only 2G
c)LTE/WCDMA - got only 2g
I also don't see the preferred network options under
Settings->wirless and networks->more option
how to resolve this issue?
Att model may not have the radio bands you need to get anything higher than 2g. Sounds like your issue with me.

The North American models only have the 3G/4G bands for North American networks. You'll only get 2G internationally.
I bought a Sprint G5 (LS992) and am using it in Canada, however I have never been able to connect to 4G LTE even though I am sure it works on my carrier's LTE network (Public Mobile, which uses Telus's network). I could still call, text and use data on 3G HSPA+ but not LTE.
I checked the Network type and strength under Mobile networks and only see 3G -65dBm.
In 4G settings under Mobile networks there are two options, one is the Network operator which I could not press into it and the other one being IP address which shows me "0.0.0.0"
Tried to enable LTE by switching the network mode to LTE/CDMA only but not even able to connect to the network (no calls no text nothing)
I am pretty sure G5 is capable of using LTE but just don't know why I am not the one using it.
Thanks for any help or suggestions!
