Omap4430 brick!?!?!?!??! - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Hi I have a p760 that if I connect to my computer appears and disappears "omap4430" to infinity and if I try to flash through something fastboot says that the partition does not exist. (with omap4boot)

Try again and try again and try again, while partitions will be flashable

Hi, maybe look at 4pda, with a translator, and register for download if necessary. I have an unlocked bootloader and no such problems. Maybe I did not understand your problem correctly, but if the driver simply does not work, then you need to try other drivers, delete old ones, try other programs.

My L9 for an unknown reason stopped working, now when I connect it to the PC with and without battery, OMAP4430 appears and disappears infinitely without stopping, the drivers with W10 are incompatible, in fact I have the dualboot with W7 in VHD, using scripts as OMAP4Boot I am able to have the phone in fastboot but the phone shows that the partitions do not exist, it does not start in any mode only OMAP4430 convertible into Fastboot.

P.S:And I don't understand Russian, I don't have a Russian keyboard, I'm Italian, I can't do captcha

I tried a guide on 4pda(https://4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=310832&view=findpost&p=19622299) but at some point it blocks me at 24% in the flash.

The instructions say that the error should occur, this is normal. This instruction recovers the bootloader only. Maybe now you just need to flash using the LG Flash Tool. Allow another option that your phone could just break, for example, the memory deteriorated, and this is just not fix it.
Does the phone enter sw / upgrade mode? To see, connect the switched off phone with the volume + button pressed to the computer turned on. If it is, find your phone on lg.com, come in support, choose software and firmware, then option 2, Install USB DRIVER, Download and install LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL, enter sw / upgrade mode, launch LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL Wait for the connection, then select the recovery after the error in the additional options, and wait.
On the site lg.com, if you choose some countries, for example Italy, and others, you cannot find the product p760 or p765, so put the country Russia, in Russia only p765, or Germany, there p760. In USA only p769. Although all the drivers and LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL are the same, you can download anywhere.

No, it doesn't work, otherwise I wouldn't have tried it after the flash?

Clear. This phone is already in the past. If you can not find a solution for all forums and topics, then it is probably useless. I did not have such a problem, I unlocked the bootloader, it was that the custom recovery and custom firmware were breaking, and there was a brick, but through fastboot I was reinstalling the recovery again. Yes, there constantly the phone is connected, then disconnected, but after 3-5 times it stops and the recovery is stitched. You need to constantly connect, disconnect the phone, start the process again. You also need to catch the device in Device Manager in order to install the driver. Maybe someone else will help you, but I'm not sure. You have a strange problem if it just happened. Perhaps I have already said that the phone broke, not the software.

I tried but it connects to me and disconnects indefinitely, so I'm done doing it only 3-5 to me it doesn't work.

If fastboot writes that there are no partitions, then I think that the memory most likely died, otherwise you just have to install different drivers, do it correctly, delete the old ones, reboot, install new ones, try usb 2.0 and 3.0,It may be hampered by the antivirus, try to turn it off during the operation, in general all possible ways Try to disassemble the phone, reconnect all contacts. Try another usb wire, clean the usb contacts on the phone. New will be nothing. Since 2016, no one has done anything for this phone. On 4pda I read about a similar problem, no one was able to solve it, and those who decided, they had another problem. One person suddenly the next day, the phone began to enter the sw / upgrade mode, and the other turns out to be the phone entered this mode, and he thought he had the same problem, then just flashed the firmware.
Perhaps you are not doing the right thing according to the instructions. To put the driver on the omap it is necessary to catch it once, open the installation window manually, and install it, and let the phone itself always turn off and connect, it does not matter. The driver will already stand.
Even when I am fixing the recovery through the fastboot, there is an inscription everything is OK, but the phone does not go into the recovery if you turn it off and clamp the buttons. I am flashing, and I am not disconnecting anything, just waiting for 1-2 minutes, and the phone itself restarts in recovery. I do not know why.

I will try all these tips, but I have to tell you the truth, my phone had 2 identical bricks and the same problem, but at the first, something strange happened, fiddling with the lelus script using key combinations, my phone had entered into S / W upgrade, since I didn't have the flash tool installed, I turned it off, thinking I had solved the problem, trying to turn it on, it made a security error and from then on it was bricked again. The S / W mode was not the strange one without a screen, it was the correct one, I have to try again to make combinations, I had tried the combinations of a guide called: "how to fix partition problem"
---------- Post added at 06:30 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:28 AM ----------
P.S:But if I can fix it, I'll instantly guide you on what I did to fix it, everyone has to solve this problem. Send me the correct OMAP driver link.

Here is the most detailed instructions for recovery, but in Russian, I am from Russia, you can translate (4pda.ru/forum/index.php?showtopic=406521&st=7620#entry32936537) If I am mistaken with the instruction, then I'm sorry. There are drivers too. Here on the fastboot, maybe you need something else to install on your computer (https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979) my adb has always been installed a long time ago, maybe that's why it works. I also read such a case. One user did not enter the S / W mode, but he still pressed the volume + and connected to the computer, and the flashtool identified the phone and started updating the firmware.
Here are the official drivers and LG MOBILE SUPPORT TOOL ( lg.com/ru/support/support-mobile/lg-P765 )
1) You may be doing something wrong
2) No one had this problem, no one solved it. You decide.
3) This problem was someone else, he did not talk about it and threw out the phone. Therefore, no one solved it. You decide.
4) The memory of the phone is dead. Nothing you can probably.
5) I hardly know English, I rarely help someone, I was interested in using a translator, thank you, if you at least understand something.

I reiterate that partitions do not exist so I don't think I can delete the boot partition.

I tried the guide but the partitions keep saying that they don't exist, what do I do?

I have had the same thing by the same procedure to unlock bootloader and flash cwm ... :crying: :crying: :crying: help us
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=36688645&postcount=808
PS.: If you can't get your phone in emergency mode (step 5) you can put in download mode instead. To get it in download mode press and hold volume down and up while you connect your usb cable to your pc
the phone does not go into any recovery mode (emergency) indeed, the PC recognizes it as USB\VID_05C6&PID_9008&REV_0000
Yet another brick. There should be a counter for this.
How do I reset the counter?
the samsung is reset with a simple jig... and lg phones?

everytime I install the drivers by LG support tool, it keeps giving me the option to install the driver, like I havent done it a hundred times over.
I think there should be a driver somewhere that can be installed but the only people that have this driver are LG tech's. So they can bill you after
send the phone in cause you rooted it. So the one billion dollar question is witch hero will find a way to unbrick this device. We only need a way

P780 Bricked and not recognized in PC

Hello,
I bought a Lenovo P780 some days ago from china.
The phone came with many pre-installed Chinese apps that simply annoyed me, moreover I kept getting email has stopped, settings has stopped error messages. It was running on a VIBE firmware.
I checked online on how to Flash the phone to international version and downloaded some ROMs to do the flashing.
I managed to get the Flashing done, with this ROM, P780_ROW_S110_130629, but afterwards the Phone was completely unusable.
The problems are as follows,
1. The Phone does not boot up at all after pressing the power key, nothing on screen!
2. Pressing the power and volume keys shows nothing!
3. when plugged to the computer, i get the USB device not recognized error message! (I have all the necessary drivers installed)
The computer only see the phone as follows, Alcatel Single RNDIS Interface in the USB Device not Recognized window.
4. The computer keeps playing the plugged in devices sounds, plugged sound the followed by unplugged sound, repeatedly, and that is when the phone is still connected.
It´s only later I found some tip saying that one cannot flash a device produced 03.2014 and later with the ROM I used. Mine happens to be such a device Prod. Date 09.03.2014!
I have read through some almost similar problems but have not encountered my specific problem.
I am hoping to have someone who knows a workaround share with me how to get the phone back up running. I will highly appreciate your Help.

Found solution
1. Restored the comp to 3 days ago, before installation of any drivers
2. Downloaded and installed this driver, http://www.mediafire.com/download/lbdo0sglhdhrje9/MTK+Divers.rar
3. Downloaded my ROM here, used this one, P780_S123_ROW_131231
http://www.needrom.com/mobile/lenovo-p780-2/
4. I downloaded a newer version of Flashtools from this forum,
5. I downloaded this preloader,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=2744499&d=1400125492
6. I prepared the files for flashing as usual, (USB speed set to „do not switch speed“), changed the preloader´s location to the one I downloaded, (Trying to flash with the one in the ROM gave an error)
7. I removed the Phone´s back cover, plugged the usb cable to the phone, and holding down the reset button, connected the usb cable to the computer
8. Then released the reset buton and VOILA!, the flashing began :fingers-crossed: and ran without any errors.
9. The greatest moment was to see the phone reboot fully after this. :victory:
After rebooting and connecting to the internet, I upgraded the FW and everything is running smooth.
I liked the preinstalled VIBE ROM, only that it had some flows here n there, plus the preinstalled Chinese apps annoyed me! I am now getting used to the original P780´s ROM.
Anyone who lands in my previous mess,- Flashing with wrong ROM and cannot get Phone to boot up, or get it recognized by PC, can try out my solution, of-course at YOUR OWN RISK!
PS, Always take time to inform yourself fully before performing this task, it will save you some Headaches!

So you can confirm that the P780_S123_ROW_131231 version works on a Chinese model ?
No problems with bad signal, SIM not detected and so on ? I'm trying to figure out if it is safe to go ROW.
And as I see your steps, it would also be an option to remove the drivers again I think.
For me, it worked by simply plugging the device into a different port, and then I could install the drivers (as a regular Mediatek USB device, not as the Preloader device).
......confirm?.......

I can confirm with my device, I bought it directly from China and as I mentioned earlier, it had several Chinese apps that really annoyed me. I was really stressed up trying to configure what to do. But after reading several forums and stitching the different opinions together, I managed to do what I did earlier on today and everything is working out fine.
I had not done any backup of IMEI and co before flashing my phone yesterday, and that worried me the more. But after re-flashing it with the above ROM, everything got back together and even the IMEI was found automatically without further hustles.
Please do some more reading before trying my steps, my tryout worked good with my Phone, cannot tell whether it will with yours!
Saying this coz am not really sure whether the date written at the bottom of the Accu. represents the phone´s production date!

Well pretty sure the unbricking works, you got the preloader from my post
I'm now testing with VIBE 1.5 (KitKat), pretty good (almost not Chinese there) but some battery issues. Next step is to find out if I can get the 3G 900Mhz band to work.
Not sure if I'm going to switch to ROW, don't see any reason now.
Thanks for the feedback!

Sure it worked out just fine. Didn´t notice you were the same person with almost the same problem in the post with the preloader.
I will be checking out this pages to see how the Kitkat versin goes. Am am curious just how it will be.
Have a great week!
Thank you, you saved me!
I have bricked my lenovo p780 while trying to change the rom.
It was shipped from china with Vibe rom, I tried to install S113 rom and the phone went dead.
I have followed your guide and it worked. The phone is working!!!!
Edit: Just to add some more details in case some one else is having the same issue.
I made it with windows 8.1, drivers from this post, and S123 Row rom.
Then the firmware had 5 or 6 updates to 4.4.2 Kit Kat.
I have 2 more to go.... Total of 3 phones. Will update if any changes are found.
Also I will keep the software in case some of the links does not work or the code can't be found.
i dont understand the part where you hold the reset button and release it.

I know this is a very old thread, but, I was fixing up a P780 for a friend (he was constantly getting gapps.com stopped working and such) so I flashed some (stock?, Lenovo_P780_S115_MT6589_20130807) rom I found via SP Flash tool. It worked fine. So the next thing I was supposed to do was write IMEIs back, and for the life of me, i couldn't get that to work ( i would always get to "start searching kernel com port and handshake", and after that would get something like enter AP meta mode fail default, or something like that) so I started looking for alternatives, and found that one of the easiest ways is to root the phone, and install mobile uncle or MTK tools or whatever, anyway, I download twrp, flashed it using SP Flash Tool, and now the phone won't turn on, can't be detected by the Flash tool, it is in a way detected by windows (Unknown USB Device, Device descriptor Request failed), although it sort of goes on an off. LED lights up when connected to a charger or PC via USB

Is this one broken? Any suggestions?

Hi everyone,
a friend sent me an almost new Redmi Note 2 (I think 2 months old) that he bought while he was living in China, that recently "just stopped working"
Since he's not living there anymore, warranty's not an option and since he was "tired of dealing with it" he sent it to me.
So... when it arrived here, I noticed that it was completely discharged. If you plug it in, the red light goes on, but only stays on for like 5 minutes.
No matter what you do, it won't turn on.
I tried letting it charge overnight, only to find out that it was completely discharged again the next morning. As in... I checked the battery with a voltmeter and it was completely dead again.
I've since gotten a replacement battery, but even with that, it won't turn on.
When I connect it to the computer (with, or without battery) it shows up as "USB Serial Device" and shortly after as "PreLoader USB VCOM Port", but the problem is that it immediately disconnects again, a second later, so I can't actually use SP Flash Tool to do anything with it.
Any idea what's wrong with it, or do you think it's borked beyond repair?
I'm well versed with electronics (electronic engineer) so I could try to open it up, but with these things it's really hard to find any obvious defective parts (let alone replace most of them) so I thought I should ask for your opinion first.
Thanks!
Maybe the USB port is broken or the cable... But well I don't know... (Can't compete with an electronic engineer - I am still a student
But I am interested in your solution if you solved it somehow
BROM 4001 error
Hi! I'm glad to have found you.
I have the same problem. I have tried to flash using SP flash tools but get a BROM 4001 error.
I can't post the url but I have a thread on miui dot com - "[Q & A] Redmi Note 2 bricked"

This is normal.
You should press Download on SP Flash Tool before connecting the device.

Here you can find a list of SP Flash Tool error codes.
Thanks for helping. I checked the list of error codes and got
(4001) S_FT_DA_NO_RESPONSE
Скрыть содержимое
Solution: Change the USB-port and transfer the SP Flash Tool to the root of drive C: \
There is also a version that the download agent containing no information on the CPU / flash.
Solution: upgrade proshivalschika.
The problem could be hardware, such as the failed flash memory.

I moved SP flash tool and associated files to C:/ and tried a couple of USB ports but got the same result. It has the red bar at 100% and waits for 24-26 seconds before giving the same error code.
Heyo, sorry, I totally forgot about the phone for a good while and just remembered it again.
Okay so... I installed the drivers again and it shows the right ones, but I think I sort of found the issue.
It only ever gets recognized as MTK USB Port and not as MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port.
Unless all the guides are wrong, I need to press Volume+ after plugging it in, to start it in the other mode, but that only worked once when I was trying stuff out without SP Flash tool open and i accidentally unplugged it again. Now it just never goes into the DA mode again.

if you could that would be amazing. I am stuck in a locked bootloader and fastboot doesn't detect the phone (altough adb does) so I cannot unlock it.

yes.
I tried to flash supersu from twrp and since then I'm stuck in bootloader (couldn't unlock bootloader due to fastboot not seeing the phone). I still can get to recovery, but can't boot up the system.
Alcatel's Mobile Upgrade Q doesn't work for me either (tried on 2 different PC's).
I hope restoring clean non-rooted boot/system will help, if somebody can share the backup files.

Which Mobile Upgrade Q are you using? Try to use 5.0.3 version. Tried both on my 64bit Windows 10 and 7 for my 5051x Optus locked phone. But you need to manually put your phone to download mode (while your phone completely off, press all volume up + volume down + power), then plug in your phone, start the program and follow the prompt.
Had to reflash my phone numerous time, because supersu seems to brick the phone, while kingroot lost its root every reboot.

which driver do you have installed? (what shows up in device manager?) When the phone is in download mode, my PC doesn't detect it. after several seconds the phone exits download mode, and then gets detected, but it doesn't auto-install any driver, so I have to manually choose something.
Still, if someone could send me full backup from TWRP, I could try to restore it on the phone and get it working this way.

Can you upload your twrp backup, or at least your stock recovery pleeease? I really need it since this is my work phone and it should be as stock as it came when they check it.

Stuck in setup with missing files and can't get stock ROM to flash

I beat my head against this for about eight hours yesterday and am at my wit's end. Thanks in advance for any help.
The short version: After rooting my Blue VIvo 5, installing a few apps and setting Nova Launcher as my launcher, I started getting some errors. Apps would fail mysteriously or not launch at all. Reinstalling the apps didn't help. I tried to take an OS update that the phone said was available, but when I tried to update it said the system was damaged and I couldn't install the update.
Well, I thought naively, I'll just remove all my user data and start over. That will restore the original ROM and I'll just start over, right?
BIG mistake.
Now when I try to start up my phone the sequence goes like this:
1. I get a popup that says "Unfortunately, Carefree Launcher has stopped."
2. After clearing that popup I can choose my language.
3. Next I go tot he screen where I choose my wireless connection. Choosing the connection works, but the next screen where I put in my password only allows me to speak - there's no keyboard option. The only time during the process I really laughed was when I saw what Google's voice recognition software tried to enter for the wifi password.
4. I managed to get the password entered by using the OTG dongle and a USB keyboard. After that, though, it goes to the "Checking for updates" screen, at which point it tells me "Unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped." Then it loops back to the "choose your network" screen.
5. Lather, rinse, repeat.
I managed to get TWRP installed and running, but the stock ROM file I found on another thread (BLU_V0050UU_V09_REPAIR.zip) won't install. SP Flasher (which I also tried) throws a message about a mismatched baseband unit of some kind, and TWRP says there's a file called META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary missing from the archive.
So here I am, asking the community what I can do short of laying out $200 for another phone. I might be able to install the AOSP or CM12 ROMs that are in this forum, and I might do that if I have to replace the phone anyway, but if there's a way to restore the phone to its initial OOB state, I would love to know how to do it.
Again, thanks for any help you can give me.
Update, 16 hours later: I had a flash of inspiration this morning. Since it looked like at any rate I was going to have to get another phone I went ahead and ordered the replacement for same-day delivery. It arrived this afternoon, I unboxed it, set it up and backed it up with "adb backup". Then, I tried to restore the backup onto the bricked phone.
You guessed it. I never saw a notification that the backup was loading. It was the same wifi network, check for updates, broken google play loop again.
So unless someone has a brilliant idea as to how to restore the original firmware, I am going to keep the old bricked phone around and try installing aosp or cm12 on it, whichever looks like it's further along. Maybe both. Why not?
Anyway cheers.
Do you not know how to use SP Flash Tool?
Download the original rom + SP Flash Tool from elsewhere in this forums and flash it. The one for the Gionee S6 or A55 slim on the Marshmallow thread will do. I think someone has posted the original vivo 5 ROM somewhere as well.
Basic steps are open SP Flash Tool.
Load the scatter file (comes with the rom). This will fill a lot of fields in the flash screen (boot, recovery, logo, system, userdata, etc.).
Do not change anything. Click "Start"—this will wipe your phone. If you don't want it wiped, disable the "userdata" field.
Connect your phone properly turned off.
It should detect your phone right away.
Wait for the flash to end.
Disconnect your phone and turn it on.
Should boot alright.
If it doesn't detect your phone, see in Device Manager if your phone is properly recognized. If it's not, download the MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM drivers.

Thank you for your reply. In answer to your quesiton: Maybe not. Everybody starts somewhere, and while I have quite a few years of experience in desktop computers, I'm still learning the world of Android. I've flashed quite a few Kindle Fire tablets (that's the origin of my user name, 'nerdfire') but this has been my first experience with a phone.

I've got SP Flash running, but it's the Linux version. which I think is the same, as Windows except that it looks like there's a "Download" button rather than a "Start" button. Unless I'm missing something, which could easily be.
I followed the directions above, not checking "userdata", and hit "Download." No response from the program for over 30 minutes. I eventually found the timeout setting, lowered it to 2 minutes, and ran the program from a console window. The console output indicated that SP Flash was finding the proper USB port, but then nothing. No communication with the phone and the program eventually timed out.
It could be a lack of drivers. Linux comes with drivers for most common USB devices baked in, but this might not be one of them. Thanks for the hint - I'll check when I get home later tonight.
Again, I appreciate the help.

I have no experience flashing with Linux, but that definitely looks like lack of the right drivers. Maybe following this tutorial will work for you: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ge...torial-how-to-setup-spflashtoollinux-t3160802
The thread says you need to know the specific way to boot up after connecting the cable, depending on the phone. On the Vivo, my experience is that you don't need to press anything, just connecting the cable with the phone powered off will do. However, if you happen to brick your phone by flashing something wrong, or interrupting a flash, you'll need to press volume down upon connecting the cable.

I did a little digging and won't go through all the gory details, but the long and short of it was, after removing a package in my Linux distribution that was interfering with accessing the serial port, I was able to flash the stock ROM onto the phone.
