I face this weird bug in newer Oreo ROMs where sometimes after rebooting the phone and when I enter my password on the lockscreen, the screen goes black and returns to the lockscreen. I faced this on latest Nos,ABC,arrow ROM, mokee ROM etc. If I want to enter into the phone then I have to remove the password from recovery. Anyone facing this issue

if there would be an easier fix then why have written this tough fix?
only way to fix this issue is too follow full procedure
if u dont believe on it whether try yourself because 3 friends tried and they also solved it by this method
It was probably magisk issue
nathanchance said:
also @D-m-x (and everyone else), please try this Magisk build (it can be installed in the modules tab in Magisk Manager)
https://transfer.sh/YVFdi/Magisk-v16.7-1674-.zip
It includes a commit that should fix all of the weird issues with Magisk like the PIN not being accepted after a reboot or the phone getting stuck at the Google logo with the progress bar. The root cause is services crashing during the boot chain and either causing deadlock or lack of functionality. It's entirely possible that a service crashed during boot and started causing issues.

Always first flash twrp official in fastboot when u come from miui. Dont flash any other recovery.
And format data using only with twrp official. Other twrp have problems decrypting miui encrypted data.
Coz It throw error when u use format data command to decrypt miui using redwolf and fox recovery.
And if u used treble twrp and cardinal treble and any other treble rom then wipe cust, vendor before u flash non treble rom.

Note: Whoever is able to boot into the rom without system ui fc pls post
1. The ROM which u were running before
2. CWM recovery version/link to that.
3. And step wise info of flashing.
4. And if installed gapps then link to that
This can help other users. Thanx
While everyone was searching for an ANDROID L AOSP by Ivan I found this on miui forum.
A bootable CM12 .
The screenshots i have posted.
The bug we are facing in this is unlimited system ui fc's. But the rom is booting and some what working too. if we can give our contribution we might have everything working.
Found from:

Credits also to him.

PS I know there are many posts on this but people might not know about this release so creating a new one
And yeah this isn't my work
yes tried it too same FCs problem. hope the guy who made that could say few words about it!

I mean flash cm gapps ! He flash gapps mini i think from another source
i tried with normal gapps found here in the forum, not cm gapps. do you have a link for the cm gapps? so I may try with them too when I have got some spare time
I think here : http://www.naldotech.com/download-and-install-gapps-for-android-5-0-lollipop/
But is it really gapps related issue ?

don't think so, because even without flashing gapps, you continuosly get the system UI FCs since first boot
Testing
Used this rom for few minutes and found the following bugs :- wifi, bluetoots, brightness, sensors,Reboot as soon as screen is locked lol
No fc's for me
Can make and receive calls
maybe if we work together to fix the bugs this rom might become stable
Method of install :- Wipe data flash rom and reboot....

just curious, maybe a language problem? Actually here it automatically selected Italian language during wizard. What language are you using?
Most of us are not even successful in making up with the fcs. But still happy about the fact that there is some progress in the development. But we all must be eagerly waiting for Ivan's lollipop

I just flashed the rom, wiped data and rebooted
no setup wizard direct home screen without any force close.
maybe try flashing these gapps.... http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/dl.php?file=banks/gapps/gapps-L-minimal-signed-11-23-14.zip
Does someone know if the dev published the device tree used to compile the rom?
I guess he used github.com/keyur2maru/android_device_xiaomi_cancro since it's his and seems updated to L.

As you can see in the screenshot, the /cache partition is not being used at all. Changing partition format to f2fs also doesn't help. What a wasted amount of storage...
My second problem is the automatic time settings. They are not working at all, don't sync. I'm facing this problem since late December builds of 2017 across all oreo roms.
Anyone facing the same problems?

It's not the recovery's fault, I read somewhere that since Android O, the cache partition won't be used anymore so it makes sense, but I had such problem on nougat roms too, since Guyver kernel days...
Actually, that automatic time detection is more important to me, do you have such problem?
Try flashing miui fastboot rom

Had the same problem. Found a fix, just rename the simcard that does not get detected (name doesent matter). As soon as you click on ok, you are asked to type in your simcard pin and then it works fine.
I have this issue on ArrowOS for mido. Its an easy fix (at least for me).

I have an unlocked bootloader. The fingerprint is not working on any custom rom when I tap on fingerprint nothing happens, it don't even show any messege.
It is working correct on stock rom.
I tried pixel experience, lineage os, aosp extended and all other roms.
I have tried flashing stock rom then other custom rom but it's still not working.
Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks

I am able to add one but same problem for another finger.
if I added second user than fingerprint didn't work.
i also tried in most of ROMs but same problem.
1. Clean fingerprint scanner
2. Change firmware
3. Delete fingerprints from android folder, reboot
I think that firmware has a problem too. I recently experience some clean flash on any pie rom that has a problem with FP at times

But one thing that I have observed is whenever I add another user it works for the other user and in guest mode as well but only not working for admin user.

I am using pixel experience CAF version and vendor 9.4.1... there is no touch issues .. try CAF version and clean flash it
This happens for me too whenever I have TWRP recovery installed, with any ROM (both stock *and* custom ones). I only get this behaviour when entering my SIM cards PIN code or when booting TWRP (I can't swipe so I must turn the screen off, wait for about 5 seconds, then turn it in again)

I flashed these :

kernal-beryllium_global_9.4.8-ak2.zip
Is it correct?
u wont face any touch issues if u use 9.3.28 kernel, only stock kernel has no issues with touch, idk if pe will boot with it or not... try it yourself, bt i am sure that 9.3.28 has the best touch drivers.

I already have PE aosp installed with 9.5.8-9.0 vendor-firmware on my Poco F1. Is it alright to flash just the MIUI kernel (kernel-beryllium_global_9.4.8-ak2.zip) and nothing else?
Or do I need to repeat the whole flashing firmware / installing PE OS thing?
