u should use lg up tool to setup the new software on lg g6 h870s

Hey i just wanted to get help from this LG G6-H870S that i own i had it updated to oreo 8.0.0 and after all i face very bad issues regarding the battery life like it drains 2-3% in a min eventhough i dont use any huge ram eating apps also the device started to lag and the smoothness is so glitchy i couldnt even run high mb apps also pubg smoothly, all these issues were not present in the stock nougat firmware the battery is solid fine in nougat even can run huge mb apps smoothly in the nougat version!
If anyone could really help me in the step by step procedure to downgrade from 8.0 to 7.1 i will be much appreciated also im new to flashing and stuffs please kindly do help and im not willing to brick my device by false information
ThankYou

i need some help

hi, this is my first tread here so hope i'm not making any mistake (btw i'm sorry if my english is bad, i'm from argentina)
i have the LG G5 and i wanna flash a clean android on it, literally i hate the personalisation that Personal makes on android, but my problem is that there exist lots of diferents h850 and kdz files i need some help
my device is h850AR (i think that's why i'm from argentina) but what kdz should i download?
i already have this two, but i don't know the differences between them...
H85020a_00_OPEN_EU_OP_1030.kdz
H850AR10e_00_OPEN_SCA_OP_1021.kdz
or the diference between h85020a, h85020e h85010a etc...

The "10" roms are marshmallow (like H850"10e"). The "20" roms are nougat (like H850"20b"). The earlier the letter, the earlier the version. For stock, you would probably want the most recent version, to include all the latest security patches and performance improvements. For the H830, I would choose 10j or 20c. Those are the most up-to-date, I think. Beyond that, your choice depends on whether you like marshmallow or nougat more. Hope that helps.

You need to download the H850AR firmware.

security update for. stock eui

Hi,
Have tried many ROM, but battery life of eui is best, is any way we can update security patch level?
What if security patch level is older?
thanks in advance.
You can try an eui based rom, some of which even improve battery life compared to stock eui. They have more recent security patches included. You have many to choose from, here on the forums

Just go to the guides and discussion page. There is a thread there with links to all the official ROMs. Indian 19S is linked there (from my Drive, because official site went down).

Heyyo, sadly I don't think that's possible... Albeit, you could technically download sources for LineageOS 13.0 and compile that and run it. That would offer near EUI levels of battery life combined with Greenify or modify the background app killing to match EUI it would be even more similar

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL][7.1] LineageOS 14.1 for Vibe K5/K5+ with SIM management

Hi everyone,
This ROM with SIM management is not as "clean" as on LineageOS 15.1 where some improvements have been made in the core of Android, for example to properly manage the plane mode, but here is a build with the same functionality and the january security patch
New update :
- with january security patch
Link : https://edifixiotest-my.sharepoint....FBhzAIQkwHLDQBfm6uv2tmpuq3VJaIk0JXYQ?e=AAdyoh
Don't hesitate to give feedback.
Known bug : the notification light color for battery charge is not properly taken in accout, I have to check that...
Hi everyone, are you still interested in this Nougat ROM or should I stay on Lineage 15.1 Oreo ?
Please like this post if you want me to maintain it with security patches.

Also can you recommend me a guide for custom rom devolopment or just teach me how to do it somehow

Thanks for your support
If you want to try to build yourself, I'll recommend to start here : https://wiki.lineageos.org/devices/A6020/build
I would also advise you to be on the Telegram groups of Vibe K5/K5+ where you can find ressources and some help.

There must be a way, but right now I don't know and I don't have much time...
Hi all, for your information there is another bug in this ROM, I think it's kernel related, I'll try to have some help on this subject but it's quite specific : when you don't have much battery, the GPS is activated and the screen is unlocked, if you plug in the charger, the phone switches off.
I've managed to reproduce the bug this way, can some of you confirm that ?

This happens in the 15.1 version of yours too. In fact, it happened even before you started building roms. I had my phone soft bricked once because of that.

Thanks, I started to think I was the only one... Any lead on the why ? I didn't find any log to help me with that and thought it may be related to the cable I use (not the one bought with the phone)

Hi everyone, and sorry for the Nougat lovers, I've forgot a little to share my builds
Here is a build with January patch : https://edifixiotest-my.sharepoint....FBhzAIQkwHLDQBfm6uv2tmpuq3VJaIk0JXYQ?e=AAdyoh
I'll keep you posted if a february patch is available.
For your information, I think I will no longer build this ROM as I only do security updates, and I found out that the last "real" security patch is the r61 from october 2019.
https://android.googlesource.com/platform/manifest/+/refs/heads/android-7.1.1_r61
The only thing happening when I update this ROM is the display in "About phone"

Oreo kdz - lag free version needed

Which Oreo Version is the smoothest and best for battery... The last one made my device unusable, don't want to revert to nougat. Thanks
Try to install Android 8.0 for US997... It's clear firmware without Verizon apps, work perfect..
I can send working LGUP 1.14, just write to PM.

The latest update you can get is Android 9
If you are not able to recieve OTA updates, you may need to flash KDZ of Android 9.

Thank you tech_infinity i was so lost by this, especially being that at one time this was considered one LG's flagship phones, lol, well im trying to figure out the best way to root it,and what root to use , because it is really nice and i love it , it does strike me a lot at factory set up to be like the galaxy s10 or 9 note in some ways but in really want the thin Q 50 or 60 Q im very interested in , are they quality as well like this when this came out ? or ....
To root the phone, we recommend using the WTF thread and the instructions detailed here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...ar-instructions.3790500/page-10#post-76584629
Be sure to view this post on a computer (not on the phone app, because it cuts off the message).
