Can't get into tablet - Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 Questions & Answers

So long story short I put my tablet in download mode and when I tried to take it out of download mode a error came up.
It basically says custom binary blocked by frp and I can't boot it up. I'll attach a shot of screen. I can get into download mode and I can flash stock firmware but my firmware file is on the tablet. I didn't move to sd card yet. I took all night to download the oreo firmware and I didn't want to wait that long to download on a computer. Why did this happen and is there any way to pull firmware off the tablet? Thanks
I couldn't attach shot but it says security error this device has been flashed with unauthorized software and is locked.

[Q] Phone will only boot up into Recovery!

I used Odin yesterday to Flash the new JI6 OTA update, after doing so it Odin said Pass but on my phone the error message read:
E:Cant mount/dev/block/stl10
I flashed stock ROM T959UJFD prior to flashing the new JI6 and went without cause. I pretty comfortable with Odin and have used it many times.
After the error the phone with boot up into the Vibrant Boot screen then go straight to Recovery. I tried rebooting and same result.
I tried Deleting all user data and same result.
I tried all the options available in recovery and still will only boot into recovery mode.
I tried plugging it into my pc and using adb to reboot into download mode but it will only reboot back to recovery.
When i have it Plugged into my pc and Odin open, Odin sees the device and opens up the COM line but won't do anything unless its in download mode.
Any help would be appreciated. "Crap now I'm one of those threads"
Ugh... I know this problem all too well. Did you click on the partition option in Odin when flashing to JI6??? If so, I hope you don't have a hardware locked phone!
Edit: Should probably elaborate a bit more.
To fix this simply get yourself into download mode manually by powering off your phone/removing battery/etc, and then power it back up while holding vol up + vol down. There are numberous methods to get into this mode unless you're hardware locked like me. Hopefull this will throw you into download mode and allow you to flash back to stock rom. If you're able to get this far simply try flashing the update again.
If you're hardware locked the only way I know of to fix the phone is either have TMO replace it with a phone that's not HW locked, or get Samsung's customer service center to give you an RMA for replacement. Either should work since what is now an official update borked your phone. I'm still waiting for my wife's phone to be returned in a hopefully non-Hw locked state. We'll see!
Good luck!
Mod close thread please, phone being replaced.

Phone stuck on Odin mode

I was in the process of rooting my phone with Odin and using Clockwork Mod Recovery Odin flashable .tar file when I accidentally unplugged it while it was in the process of starting. Now I'm stuck on a screen where it says Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
In the corner of the phone it reads
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SGH-I717
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: YES(1 COUNTS)
CURRENT BINARY: CUSTOM
I need answers.... Would appreciate it
Download kies and while on that screen go to tools-firmware upgrade and installation that should get you back to stock
Did that, it downloaded then proceeded with the update and never went through. Let it sit for about 30 minutes, it never even hit 1%. I re did them steps tried to initialize it once more and all it does it download firmware then go away. Is it possible the phone is bricked?
If you can get into that screen its probably a soft brick, does odin recognize the device in in that weird download mode?

It describes your issue I think ....g

No Downloading mode

Ok so my current problem is that i can't get to recovery no can i get in to download mode. I did an odin flash that i think hosed the whole thing. Long story short:, pit file wrong, couldn't upload a new/proper pit, so i uploaded a image that was for the pit installed. It finally flashed sucessfully but upon next boot it won't boot. What's more of a problem is that i can get to the recovery/download option screen when booting, but if i go to recovery i get a black screen, if i go to download mode (which was my only prayer) it just reboots to the same download/recovery screen.
Ok , so i'm guessing i pretty much boned but in a last ditch effort i had to come here for help, Is there any way to get in to download mode that i'm unaware of or a fix for this. can it get it in to another mode like nvflash or fastboot or something. Really i just need any sort of help for resurrecting this device. It seems funny that i could get the option of two modes for recovery and i can't get to either. I figure if it can ask me a question the recovery should be that far up the chain.
Please someone help me out,
I forgot to mention. this is for a i905/p4vzw,
I'm not sure how the wrong pit was installed(i just don't remember) but i kept trying to flash a pit that i downloaded from a working tablet. (it threw a bunch of errors trying), the pit never worked nor did installing rom, which is why i tried the other sys file (matching the pit installed)
Progress .... or is it.
Ok so i didn't ever try this but i accidentally hit the wrong button and made progress. If i choose download mode, and then press volume down instead of volume up i get the odin screen. According to the options volume up is supposed to continue and volume down is supposed to restart. It looks like they are swapped. (i think). Now the problem is that even if i'm in download mode i can't get it recognized by the pc (doesn't show up in the device manager.) Any more tips?

J7 Prime, FRP Lock, Need Help!

Hello everyone, I am new here, and I want to ask omething, after I turned off my Samung J7 Prime (Trying to restart it), it diddnt restart and says "Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock", I have stock rom odin in diffrent versions, i thried them but they fail, I saw in one thread that you need to Reformat your device, but when I am trying, to go to recovery mode, It says Recovery is Not Seandroid Enforcing, I cant use Recovery mode, I tried download mode but its blocked by FRP Lock so I cant use or flash orreformat my device, I hope I dont get ****ed! Please help really need all your help! Thank you, Hope my phone gets fixed!
" It all started when I turned off oem unlock and rebooted m phone"
you have to flash a stock firmware for your device to fix this mess up, to that you have to download the firmware according to your device's exact model and flash it under download mode.
you said you cant access download mode but i dont think if there is a possibility of lock down of Download mode by frp. First Remove the Battery and place it back to make sure it is completely switched off then Try again to enter Download mode.
press: Volume down+home+power buttons simultaneously for 5 or more seconds until the blue download screen appears.
then connect it to odin to flash the stock rom you downloaded.
hope this will fix your issue.
hit thanks if helped..

Strange, if you have a stock boot image then why its still blocking it. is it a backup or you downloaded the image from internet. if downloaded make sure that it matches exactly with your device's model.

Wait, I will check, but just to make sure what kind of file should a stock rom be?

when flashing with odin you just have one file in the package ending with .tar.md5 all the images required like recovery, boot, system, etc exist in that file itself.

Screen Frozen on startup screen(SAMSUNG M31S powered by android)black screen after

Hi there.
So the phone's screen is frozen at the startup Samsung M31S powered by android screen.
The phone does boot up and I can use it the touch works but the screen is still showing the first logo.
I have enabled usb debugging using talkback and I can use an app called Vysor on my pc to see the screen
The phone works just fine but the screen is frozen and when the phone goes to sleep or I press the lock/power button
the screen goes black but when I press it again its still black. I have to force restart and it then shows the first logo screen.
Download mode and Recovery work just fine and the screen does show them correctly
but whenever I try to boot it to system its frozen on the first logo. I also installed twrp recovery it works.
Because I unlocked the bootloader instead of frozen Samsung M31S powered by android screen the screen is frozen at
the "your device has unlocked bootloader press power to continue.) The phone boots up fine but the screen is frozen
and goes black when I press lock/power button or leave it to sleep just like normal but it doesn't come back when I press the button again.
I flashed stock rom using ODIN. It has the same issue. Its on android 11 U3 binary. I can't use combination factory binary(I'm getting please get approval to use factory binary(PIT).
I can't tell what the problem is. Screen works and touch but gets frozen before it boots to system, but does work fine in recovery stock or custom(twrp) and download mode.
The main board works too it boots I can use it just fine using my pc to see the screen.
Let me know if you can explain what's going on and what can be done.
EDIT: In the recovery logs I noticed this error as well unable to set property ro.boot time.init.mount.cache so that might be a clue.
Thanks!
Android device can get booted into
Recovery
Fastboot ( AKA Download )
Sideload
EDL
Normal ( read: Android OS )
mode.
My guess is your phone's Android OS completely got corrupted for whatever reason, hence device won't boot into Normal mode

The thing is it does boot up I can use it just fine with the pc. Its just the frozen screen. I think its hardware problem. Board or screen or both who knows. All I know is that it worked fine then one day it turned off. It didn't want to turn on. Then using Odin the phone was flashed with stock rom and it behaves like this. Anyway to confirm the faulty part? The warranty cannot be claimed because the front glass has a tiny crack but it worked for 6 months like that...

Perform a clean flash, not just selecting BL AP CP CSC. You want to erase older NAND and re partiton it.
Code:
# Disclaimer
#
# I'm not responsible for further damage done to your device
#
# You have been warned
1. In odin selcet fimware tar.md5 file by BL AP CP CSC
2. Go in to PIT tab and extract CSC.tar.md5 fimware file and select .pit file in odin
3. Go in to opitions and make sure that NAND ERASE and re-partition are both on.
You can try to perform a SBL upgrade too.
I don't think it is a hardware releated thing because you said booting in to download, twrp works just fine.
And something else, in the picture you attched where the phone is in download mode. It shows OEM LOCK: ON L. Download mode reports that the bootloader is locked but you get stuck in the logo partition that give you a warning for PBL beeing unlocked?
And you triggered somehow triggerd PERENORMAL MODE?

I followed your steps. The flash went well but the phone's screen is still stuck at the your device's bootloader is unlocked(because I did unlock it, before it was stuck on first M31S powered by android) How do you perform SBL upgrade I don't see that option in ODIN 3.14

No that was before the FRP lock was on. I was able to unlock it using talkback. Now it says checking and OEM: OFF(U) (because I did a full stock flash it says prenormal bc it performed a factory reset if I finish the setup(enable usb debuging etc) and boot back in download mode it would say checking ofc)

You might need to download a older version of odin, or use heimdall.

Could this be a battery issue? Download mode and recovery don't use too much current maybe the battery is the problem. I will try accubattery and see the stats. (4.2v 89% charged seems normal) Let me know what else to try. I wlll upload a video for you too see exactly how it works.

Are you trying to downgrade SW REV or upgrade. If you are upgradeing you need to set the PIT file in PIT tab. Downgradeing is a differnt thing.

No I just want to flash the factory binary firmware to see if it will behave differently. Because the phone's bootloader is on U3 I can only use U3 factory binary so they are both the same. It won't flash because I need token from samsung servers to be able to flash factory binary( they added this security after the S10 launch)

Then what have you flashed before.
I've uploaded a YouTube video. I replaced logo.jpg from param.bin with my yellow image to test the colors and as you can see it shows some green, same green as in twrp so ye its the display most likely.
EDIT: After flashing the PrishKernel the screen is stuck but after sleep I can wake up the screen and at the bottom where the navigation buttons are there is some noise type of image the rest of the screen is black. And its responsive if I press power button the bottom part turns on and off.
