Hello,
Is there a way to switch off and/or customize the S-Pen button? I don't use and often push it when I don't want to!

[Q] Disable the button to change keyboards.

Alright, I HATE Swype, and basically all keyboards under WinMo except for the default full QWERTY. I hit the stupid keyboard open/close button ALL THE TIME when trying to hit the space bar, and I am tired of it. Is there any way to completely remove or otherwise disable this button? Thanks to anyone who can help.
I too am very frustrated when I just want to hide the keyboard and instead a popup appears to choose form other keyboard types :-/
Is it possible to only use the QWERTY keyboard without any other to choose from?
Or Just assign only show/hide keyboard function to that button...
I got used to touch the button on the left side, but anyway I would love to disable this feature as well.

[Q] How to force soft keyboard?

Is there another way to force the soft keyboard other than a long press on the menu button? There is one particular application I want to use, but the long press isn't bringing anything up in this particular application. Could I set my search key to always bring up the soft keyboard? Thanks!

[Q] Q: muti tasking button replace menu button?

Dear Developers,
I got a quick question:
is it possible to change the function of the menu button to the muti tasking function instead?
if so is it possible to be a APK file format and installation for it to work on a stock phone?
if no, then i guess it has to be rooted? if thats the case, does that mean most applications will lose the menu button? cant be the same as the Nexus phone where all applications has a on screen menu button?
OR just do a swap between the two functions? holding down the home key gives the menu function whereas the menu function gives the muti tasking function.
thanks in advance,
Best Regards,
E
It's possible, but I don't know how the menu button will show up then, and having that ugly HTC-esque navbar with one button is not the way it should be...
sorry, it i just me or anyone else finds the menu button pretty useless.
holding down the home button to bring the multi tasking up is too slow in my opinion.
would be great if someone can just switch the two functions of menu and multi.
thanks tho

I dont find is useless.
What i find useless is you can get the same menu just by pressing on your homescreens or longpress there, so 3 ways to get that menu up.
On the matter on what button brings up the task manager, i really dont care. After a few days i got used to it being behind the home button.

[Q] menu button and back button with the s-pen on GN2.

I can't tap on the menu button and back button with the s-pen on GN2.
Is there a way to get the s-pen to take you back to the home screen ?
I read some thread (from 2011 and 2012) about "menu button" and "return button" of GN2 and I wanted to know if definitively it was impossible to use these two buttons with s-pen.
Today I'm on custom Rom Android 4.3 DN3.
For the moment I use "GMD Spen Control.apk" who is a good substitut.
Maybe There's a way to make these keys work with the s-pen
Your advice is welcome
The circuit that generates the magnetic field which allows the s pen to operate, is only behind the screen. You can use the pen button and draw a gesture commands. Drawing an up arrow is menu and a back arrow like a less than sign is back.

OK
So it's a physical impossibility.
In that case, i think "GMD Spen Control" is the best way to simulate "menu button" and "return button" for me, because without this app i can't do anything
Many thanks for quick reply and explanation

Yup for us impossible. The note 3's digitizer does extend to the menu and back keys so it will work.

[Q] Reppaping Menu Button

I would like to remap the capacitive menu button to the recent apps switcher (default long press of the home button)
and then remap the LONG press of the menu button to the menu function (I need the ability to use the menu button when within the stock samsung apps like messaging, because they use fixed layouts and their apps are designed without the menu overflow.)
also my question is would apps still detect the phone as having a hardware menu button? I would like to be able to have apps have the menu button and not rely on the hardware.
then maybe since I would no longer need the home button long press possibly remap that to kill the current app? (that is not as important but just a side note)
I have looked EVERYWHERE and can not find a viable way to do this on the stock rom. thanks
