Questions
WTF ... But you said you would not have Oreo?
R: Yes, i lied
What are the bugs?
R: Same found in LineageOS 15.1 (I guess). Tell me if you find anything.
Have support for MicroG?
R: Nop
Use Tingle for this.
How do I get root?
R: Download SuperSU Flashable and install via TWRP. After this, update the application by the Google Play
I found a bug!
Logcat with syslog (needs root) or nothing.
Avoid meaningless discussions and help you and the user have useful information on the thread :good:
Dan, when I connect the phone to the PC, I can not access the files because there is no information to authorize the procedure in the notification! Please take a look when you can.
Calm down, Padawan! This is not a bug but google stuff. They have placed the authorization option on development tools. Everyone is trying to understand why this
Do this when you want to have access to them:
Go to System -> developer option -> USB and activate MTP manually.
What will be the frequency of compilations?
Monthly or every two months . I plan to spend $12 per month for the projects.
Praying for the low dollar quote on the Google Cloud Engine :fingers-crossed::good:

As I said. It's not SII specific. LOS 15.1 for Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 WHYRED has it as well. It's 3-3,5%/hour in WHYRED case
Someone discovered that WI-FI logging was enabled. They used a trick to stop system from creating these logs but the service responsible for that was still running. They managed to somehow kill it as well but is didnt help. The drain was still there

Camera works. I don't know about stereo and even don't know if stereo ever worked on any rom because i never bothered about it. For high quality videos in stereo i never use old mobile devices.
If it is important for you so you can try it and report here how it works.
Sent from my [device_name] using XDA-Developers Legacy app

The original Samsung's firmware with Android 4.1.2 provides a true stereo sound to recorded videous with left and right channels correctly.
But sorry I avoid to test your ROM because I had already tested Lineage 14.1 for i9100 and was very disappointed becoming a victim of that buggy ROM: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/bugs-official-lineage-os-14-1-galaxy-s2-t3649329/
So, please, test a stereo sound in recorded videous by your-self and report about it in this topic - it is simple quick and easy: just record a video making some sound very close to left and right sides of the smartphone then listen it with attension via stereo headphones.

May I make a suggestion? Please use ONLY stock Samsung ROM for the rest of the time you own the i9100. In addition, please close your XDA account and stop making all of us "victims" of your complaints.
We are all here with the knowledge that a) devs work for free, and b) the things we do to our phones may result in undesirable behaviour.
You can't seen to grasp the concept that no one is out to get you with their villainous ways and dodgy software but as ridiculous as that sounds, you truly seem to believe it's some grand conspiracy to dupe you into running their evil, buggy code.
Please leave us all alone sir.

Magisk will probably never work for our SII. It depends on newer kernel features (mount namespace, e.g.) to work, but our kernel is too old (and we cannot use newer ones because these would break the blobs needed for our proprietary hardware drivers)...

Hi there I probably tried to flash bit too quickly as I ended with dotOs, a maybe broken root and Dev Options unavailable for "this user" .
Fact is I flashed Lineage Su and TWRP accepted
(as I didn't really noticed comments before mine ...)
So I desperately try to reboot in TWRP but without success I think that I should have flashed it after ROM flash?
Even the power home vol up combo doesn't triggered it.
Anyway, the ROM is damn stable,
You made my day Linusdan ^^
Edit: After several reboot, I finally manage to get back to Twrp, sorry for disturbing,
Anyway for your rom,
Dev Options bug is it only me ?

Because always when it gives problems, I install the Stock ROM and do the process again.

It is not booting up as secondary ROM (in SD card)...seems some prob with multirom as most of ROMs are not booting up from SD card. Let me try from my phone memory (though it has very little space )
This looks quite impressive, I'm definitely going to try this. Thanks s.sawrav!
Does this ROM support OTA updates or we have to update it manually?
@s.sawrav This ROM supports f2fs? Because I've flashed it and is not booting at all :/
EDIT: I tried to get logcat when booting, as I did with DU, but nothing goes out... I'm trying with the Immortal kernel version you did for me for DU to see if I can get to boot it. I don't know why I have problems with this rom... CM and Mokee for example work flawlessly.
EDIT 2: It booted with the kernel you did for me on the DU thread. I really have no idea what happens with my device, and I'm quite tired of this issue. Is there anything that I can do to avoid this issue?
Many thanks!

F2fs is not supported, btw i doubt that the kernel I gave for you in DU may work, but you can give it a try,let me know how it turns out meanwhile I'll make you another kernel for you to test out for zephyr when i have the time.

I edited my post again, it booted. But I find substratum quite buggy. I applied a theme and right now i cannot enter my pin code to unlock my sim. Ok, so if f2fs is not supported it explains why is not booting, I really don't understand what's going on. As I said, with the fix you gave me it booted fine.

Good to know that the kernel worked for you for now just after flashing ROM flash the kernel, may i know your device variant again? Also about substratum is in beta so you've got to expect some bug's but so far that i used it,it's working really well and I'm quite liking it,specially the combo of dark material theme and blur tweaks looks really good to me,also i haven't faced any issue's till now(I'm still on zephyr),although i haven't locked my sim.

I have a Redmi 2 2014811 1GB RAM, the Substratum issue I think it's because I applied a theme on top of another and maybe it messed up something. Blur looks quite nice I must admit, maybe it could be added to recent apps too?
Tell me anything I can do to help yo to identify the problem, it's strange that I'm the only one... . I did a clean install with internal storage wipe too. Last time with DU I had Miui Lollipop installed and that maybe bring that problem. After that I flashed Miui kitkat with mi flash tool, and since then I've only been using CM13/Mokee. That's all that I can tell you. As I said, if you need anything I'll try to provide it.
Many thanks for your work!
EDIT: BTW, could you provide me an updated kernel with the same fix? I see this rom has native DT2W and with that kernel it doesn't seem to work. Many thanks!
Thanks s.sawrav for the ROM, I'm testing now.
A silly question, How do I launch the recent apps menu?

I think by default is by long pressing the home button, but I'm not sure, as I changed it. In the vortex section, on settings you can change the hardware buttons behavior as you want.

Alright I'll see what can be done,i have my exam tomorrow and since after i rejoined my college after a long hiatus due to my health issue i have been busy with college as i have a lot of things to catch up, so I'll definitely work on your issue but only when i have the time apart from ROM releases and college, also about dt2w natively is a bit experimental and seems to be not working natively although from KA it work's but as far as i remember the kernel i gave you didn't hhave dt2w,if it's there it'll be in KA.The kenrel base's are different for your kernel and the kernel source that i use,but i think i know which commit fixes your issue,I'll incorporate that in my main kenrel as long as it doesn't causes conflict with any other things,I'll put a test build for you as soon as I'm free.

Many thanks!! Of course your health and college go first. And also if I'm the only one with this issue you don't need to break your workflow only for me.
Don't spend too much time with this, as isn't something critical and it doesn't seem to affect anyone but me.
In calls, other side facing echo when i am using speaker. Is it something to do with ROM or any other settings.
And i used ARISE mod, it very awesome. Form very normal phone i am getting high quality sound.
Edit
Full phone number is not showing in incoming calls, only 8 digits are showing.
I am using this Beautiful ROM for 3 days.I can say the best ROM for better RAM management. Working like butter.
1) I think substratum has some bugs .But I will not complain about this bcz substratum is on beta version.
2) should I update sabtratum via play store? As I am getting a update .
3)In the first boot after boot animation it is taking a 8-10 seconds to go in language setup .in that few second it is getting black screen.Didn't encounter this in any other ROM.
3)not booting as primary or secondary ROM in multirom .
4)Plz implement OTA.
But overall butter smooth ROM.
@s.sawrav VoLTE worked for me on this ROM.
I am using Reliance JIO.

Hey there, I want to thank you very much for provinding us another great Oreo ROM!
I just got 2 questions about it:
You said, it is based on "LOS based AOSP".. Does that mean now, you use the trees from lineage OR aosp?
And I want to know, if the mobile network standby drain is a common issue on your ROM?

Following options are deactiveted:
- "Mobile network always on" in experiemental settings
- "VolLTE"
- "Data Roaming"
- and I use only LTE/WCDMA
I tried all, users from oneplus 3T described as solution, HTC U11 users also doesnt had a clue about it..
I tried on RR 8.1 the option, to disable mobile network standby while my display is locked, but I wont get any calls or messages on whatsapp after that... So this ain't a solution for me

Frequently "Annoying" Questions (F.A.Q.)
Q: ROM startup too slow?
A: Nope, just because you haven't done a factory reset before installing the ROM
Q: ETAs?
A: See here: Link
Q: Can't install apps in Play Store?/Can't install apks?
A: Change to SuperSU instead of Magisk, it somehow derped PackageInstaller, results in error while installing any apps
Q: Anymore models supported?
A: Just SM-G531BT and SM-G531H
Q: Is init.d supported on this ROM?
A: Every LineageOS/CyanogenMod ROMs support init.d, so be free at scriptings
Q: Can you include ABCXYZ feature / Samsung Apps here?
A: NO!
Q: Can I use your ROM as a base for portings?
A: Yes, and mention this thread
Q: Server error in Google Play Store?
A: Install latest Google Play Services manually first (might take long time, due to Lollipop's nature), then you can install apps from GG Play as usual
Q: How to use adoptable storage feature? I see it's new in Marshmallow
A: Go to Settings >> Storage & USB >> Tap on the SD card label (not the eject icon) >> 3 dots menu on the top right >> Settings >> Format as internal and done!
Q: Where's the MTP option? I don't see it in Storage settings
A: This feature has been moved to Developer settings, and will reset to default (Charging) after every reboots. Enable developer options first by tapping 7 times on Build number in About phone section >> Go to Developer settings >> Select USB configuration. The fastest way to do this is plug in your USB with your PC, scroll down notification bar and tap on "USB for Charging"
Q: Where's the "running" section in Apps settings?
A: It has been cut off separately to Memory setting and "Running services" in Developer settings. You can see the memory used by apps for a period of time and closing apps too, but they won't disappear in the menu, and in "Running services", still same as old-fashioned running apps section
Q: Can't install GAPPS or ROM?
A: Install latest TWRP
Reserved
Screenshots are added into the Screenshots tab
Enjoy
Root is not possible? I try it, but i dont have success
Edit: btw, that's the most beautiful oreo rom ever! thanks for that!
Edit 2: i got it! Root working! For now, its impossible custom kernel and build prop, right?

Hey guys.
I'm currently not using my GPVE. But I'm using dotOS on j56 and it's amazing. You really should try it. It's not as customizable as rr but it's pretty fast and battery usage is good.
Is there no way to fix this bug in the microphone? I have been facing this bug in all roms based on the lineage .... The microphone is kind of missing the captured audio, as if it were a type of noise suppression. However, since I use the discord application a lot on a daily basis, the echo cancellation effect does not work because of this bug. People are listening to their own voices through my microphone. And I'm already tired of using stock-based roms, such as slimsammy that does not have this bug. A friend of mine said that there was a way to reduce this bug by making some changes to build.prop, but until today I have not achieved any roms. I really want to stay in DotOs, so, how can someone help me? Thank you if anyone at least respond ...

dotOS, ROM for the Huawei Nexus 6P
Contributors
PixelBoot
ROM OS Version: 9.x Pie
ROM Firmware Required: Must be on latest Firmware
Based On: AOSP
Version Information
Status: Stable
Current Stable Version: v3.1
Stable Release Date: 2019-07-07
Created 2019-02-08
Last Updated 2019-09-29
Installation Instructions:
Grab our recovery from the peripherals section and install it.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Install Zip > Install Image > Choose ‘recovery.img‘ > Select partition ‘Recovery’ > Swipe to confirm flash
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Install the ROM and then wipe your internal data partition.
Through TWRP Recovery:
Wipe > Format data
Through Fastboot:
Code:
fastboot -w
Reboot into system and wait until the process finishes, it could take a little bit. After the installation is done, I suggest waiting before using the phone because it usually goes into thermal throttling after installing a ROM.
Peripherals:
FBE Recovery: TWRP

Yes. And the way to flash is in the second post.
Rear camera broken. Must use FBE recovery. This might be the fastest ROM I've used. I was on Pixel Experience before this and it started to freeze up on me and reboot for no reason. Just wish it had the Now Playing feature on lockscreen.
Help Needed
Screen Shot for this Rom Plz
And plz anyone recommend me which rom to be flashed?i have yet only tried resurrection remix 6.0

That's what I mean, and why I responded as I have. Your best bet is to take time and read through threads to get an idea of how people are responding to the rom. If that's not possible then make back ups and start trying the ROMs.
There is no this rom works the best for everyone type of thing. Every persons usage is different, same with peoples expectations for a ROM.
If you really want to get a large portion of people trying to tell you what to flash, which I don't suggest because there is not one right opinion or answer when everything is subjective, go to the 6p Q&A and make a thread asking people what ROMs they suggest with maybe a couple reasons why.
You go into threads and start trying to talk about all ROMs as opposed to the ROM who's thread you're posting in ( case in point, you just asked in the acip ROM thread if its better than havok os???) It will be seen as disrespectful, which it is. And not many, especially not the seasoned people of the forum will give you a positive response.
If you don't want to put time into reading or being part of the community here, you're better off staying on official stock.
Because someone is going to say go flash x ROM, you're not going to read the op, or read peoples experiences, and flash the wrong thing, or the wrong way, and gain yourself a new paperweight.

check if it is a hidden network. If so, then add it as a hidden wifi. If still not working, try to find a phone with android 10 and above os. In wifi settings, it will show you a qr code. Scan it with your A50 and it should connect.

Hi, thank you so much for making these amazing ROMs for our A50 Do you mind adding FM Radio functionality, because i'm using it quite often and it would be nice to have it built-in, just like One UI based ROMs?
