How do I add my own images to Magazine Unlock?
Settings - Screen lock & passwords - Magazine unlock - Subscriptions - Added by me - Add, choose image.
Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I'm not seeing the option on my Mate 10 Pro. Any ideas? Did the setting change when an update was pushed out?

It's not on mine either. I tried searching for Magazine Unlock, nothing came up.
You can also drop them in the folder...
If you set a theme with slide to unlock, magazine unlock will disappear from settings, try setting one of the default themes then magazine unlock will appear in settings

I just got my Mate 10 pro 2 Days back and I upgraded from Samsung Note 4.
1 Feature of Note was that the Playlist was available even when phone was locked. I fail to find similar Option in Mate 10 Pro with default Music App.
Am I Missing something or it isn't available ?
Please Guide with alternatives and I wouldn't want to root my phone.
And If root is necessary Please guide as well. I am not a tech Retard so I wont take much time. Just first Huawei phone.

There is a Magazine Unlock Option in Settings.
That has further three options:
1. Subscriptions
2. Auto Update over Wifi (Enabled)
3. Auto Delete Images older than 3.
In themes I dont see anything Magazine related.

The Player is there, I can change songs. But I am changing songs 1 song at a time.
In Note 4, I had the option of going through the entire playlist that was running.

You can have magazine unlock without changing pictures everytime.
You have just to erase pictures from magazine unlock in Settings security lockscreen magazine unlock souscription ?
Talk about bumping threads, i simply came across this and can't help but wonder, what planet is my mate 10 pro since i lack those options, although i have magazine, just for the wallpapers, id say
The music that is running .. can be changed 1 by 1 >.>
On my Note 4, I could access the play-list while phone was locked.
Coming from a Nexus 6p with Nova Launcher, I've found it frustrating to use EMUI, especially the inability to hide apps - mainly the bloatware that are installed.
Is therea any way to have a folder for "junk"?
I've searched and found these:

Download emui tweaker on playstore and you will be able to hide app
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teammt.gmanrainy.emuitweaker
Once option activated with emui tweaker you have to pinch screen with you finger to access to hide menu app

I thought a "zoom out" was the inverse method to pinch in,which brings up your settings to the EMUI page (Wallpaper, Widgets, transitions, settings etc)?
When I do the opposite zoome out, nothing happens - am I making a school boy error here?

Yes it's the inverse at pinch (sorry for my bad English)
Did you reboot the phone?
Because it works for sure with this app.
It was a feature of precedent emui but it still works on emui 8.
It's just desactivated by default on emui 8 and this app activate it again
You have to do the exact opposite with your finger that which brings settings of emui page

Just French with a Spanish nickname seen on a "B TV show" ?
See screenshot below

Well i have had that screenshot, restarted my phone as suggested but then I can't make it work!
So I have the screen like this, hit reboot, then can't access the hidden menu

I also have a Mate 10. This works for me, but only in "Standard" not "Drawer" style homescreen. I have not found a way to hide apps in the drawer using stock launcher.
Same here with Honor 9 and emiui 8, zoom out-->home settings, zoom in--->nothing :/
I can confirm that the hidden apps folder works on EMUI 8.1 on P20 Pro but only in Standard homescreen mode, but not in Drawer mode.
I tried installing a black theme to get rid of the "white" bar at the bottom in some apps in order to help stop the screen burn at the bottom of the device. Now i have lost the nice changing images on the unlock screen and i cant find a way to go back to the default or remove the theme i installed. can anyone point me in the right direction please? i have not used emui before and i am a little stuck.

The changing lockscreen images is called magazine unlock, try searching for that in the settings menu, I'm on emui 8 on my p20 pro so not sure where it would be on emui 9.

Just as title states I'm missing an option in the settings, I had it on my previous Mate 20 Pro and my replacement doesn't have it. It was the option to turn the screen on when a notification comes in, I can search the settings and find it but selecting it takes me to some settings option without it. Screenshots attached to show.

Yes likely it is, so hopefully it gets fixed.
i noticed there is another missing option in settings, specifically the Appgallery assistant.
settings>apps>appgallery assistant.
somehow i realised some people have the option while some (me) don't have it, despite same firmware version.

I'm on the latest firmware (. 126) and I have tried to check huawei's appgallery app for any updates.
So far still can't figured out why the app assistant is missing.

You're on a different version to me anyway, I'm on .122 (LYA-L09 model).
Weird, sorry I can't think what else to try other than a factory reset as last resort.
I also have this issue (missing option to turn the screen on for notifications) but I cannot find any place to change my lockscreen style to magazine. Can anyone point me in the right direction please?

Hello all.
I finally jumped on the Android 10 / Q bandwagon straight from Android 8 / Oreo (I skipped Android 9 / Pie altogether).
Is there any way to remove the weather on the lockscreen? I use a third-party app for displaying weather on my lockscreen.
If there is any way to remove it, I just can't find it. I was told that in Android P one could go to Settings > Display> Screen display> Lockscreen and remove it from there, but I can't find such option on my phone.
Best regards.

What is the app called?
What app are you planning to use for that? The weather doesn't show for me, so I thought maybe I could you it.

It isn't an app, it's a system functionality in Android 9 and 10. To have it you need the right phone (Pixel phones, OnePlus phones, .... Phone which are close to stock Android), and if you have a compatible smartphone, you just have to leave the location enabled. (And everytime I disable location, the weather disappears)
But you said you wanted to use a third party app for it. Now I'm confused.
