I have a Bip and a Stratos and like them both for different types of usage and occasion. Does anyone have a good way of using both throughout the week at various times but having all the data go to a single app (ideally mi fit I guess). I’m using an iPhone, so this is an iOS question (although I’m considering a switch to Android). Thanks in advance!
At the moment I’m pairing and unpairing when I switch which is on, but a bit of a pain as various watch settings in the Bip have to be reconfigured each time.

Hello,
in Germany, last night clocks were adjusted at 3:00am to 2:00am due to dayliht saving. My Android phone switched the time instantly, my Amazfit BIP ignored it, even at 11 am, the time was still faulty, syncing with the Mi Fit app didn't help. The only thing that helped was to unbind and rebind the BIP to the phone
This is really a pitty, I wonder how often at all the BIP does syncronize at all, and why the people developing this piece of software are so ignorant not to implement the most obvious use-cases.
Any tips and hints how the time sync behaviour can be improved? Thanks!
Turn off and then on the Bluetooth. That's all. Works every time. I travel a lot and that's what I do to sync the time when I change timezones.

A lot Xiaomi/Amazfit Products (Miband, Bip, Cor etc) has to connect one time to mifit after time change to get the right time again! I use mifit since a few years now and i‘ve never a problem with the time change!
I tried reconnecting bluetooth as well as syncing in the MiFit App, both did not help. Only unpairing and repairing solved the issue Even if these two did work, it is a shame that things like that do not work automatically out of the box...
Hello, i have same issue. Just turn off and on your bip and it solve the problem.
Restart the phone
I had same issue today and restarting the phone connected to my BIP solved the issue instantly. Hope it helps!!
4 years later and my brand new Amazfit Band 7 ignores daylight saving even after a full shutdown. Disappointing indeed because (almost) all my devices, clocks, watches use either DCF or NTP to avoid this issue in the first place.
I have the Xiaomi Amazfit Stratos watch, which worked well with my old Mi A1. However, since getting the Poco F1 notifications to the watch do not work (unless the app is open in the foreground). In addition, the VW Connect app (also a background app that uses GPS and connects automatically) did not pick up any trips made since using pairing with the new phone....
This made me think it was something to do with the MIUI battery saver settings. Since then I have changed the settings on both these apps to 'No restrictions' and it has made a slight improvement (I would say about 50% of the notifications are making it to the phone now). So I am at a bit of a loss now....
You would assume that a smartwatch made by Xiaomi would work seamlessly with a phone of the same manufacturer.... but it seems not!
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Trying to avoid to loose my phone, with Amazfit App 3.6.2 is there any "simple" way to have have a connection lost alert/notification when phone is away?
Before with my Amazfit Bip and Mi Fitt App i have that option there on the App, now with GTR and Amazfit App i don't find that option.
Anyone know how to set it ?
I also use Amazfit Tools App but even there i can't find that option.
Regards
And T-REX does not have such an option.
Very uncomfortable
Hmmm, i don't recall seeing it in the Amazfit app.
But i do know that Notify&fitness does have that option and it does work.
I have used it, but stopped using it, it took to much of the battery as i regularly are at the edge of the connection between phone and watch and it keeps vibrating
I've been using an Amazfit Bip together with the Mi Fit app for a long time without any problems. The Bip hardly ever lost connection to the phone. Then I bought an Amazfit Bip S and as the Mi Fit app does not support it, I had to use the Amazfit app. I recognized that the Bip S permanently lost bluetooth connection to the phone, no matter what settings I changed. So I thought it would be a problem of the Bip S and bought a normal Bip again. But same problem... if the phone does not lie directly on the table, most of the time Bip has no bluetooth connection. Even if the phone is in its case on my belt, the Bip loses connection.
So it must have something to do with the Amazfit app, I guess. Somewhere I read that if you uninstall and reinstall it, Bluetooth connection problems may be gone. But if I uninstall the app, I lose all data, so before I do that I try to investigate what could be the problem.
The phone is a Blackview BV9700 Pro. I already cleared all data and cache of the Bluetooth app. I restarted the phone. I turned Bluetooth off and on again. I turned the option for a permanent notification in the Amazfit app on and off, makes no difference.
Can anyone confirm that the Amazfit app has a bad Bluetooth connection compared to the Mi Fit app? Could the problem be caused because both apps were installed at the same time at the beginning? I had Mi Fit installed, installed Amazfit and because the Bip was recognized by both apps I uninstalled Mi Fit and kept only Amazfit.

Hello,
Few things:
- I would recommend you to use only one App, AmazFit or MiFit at a time. I guess AMazFit is preferable depending on the watch you have. Unpair from one app and uninstall the app you don't want to use
- if you uninstall and reinstall the Amazfit or MiFit app with same credentials, Mi account or with mail/phone number, you should recover your data saved and you won't loose all your history. Maybe the one from the current day, I think. I jumped from MiFit to Amzfit with same account with no problem, recovering data for many years
- concerning the bluetooth, not sure what OS your are using, iOS or Android. You could check in the Amazfit or Mi Fit app properties if the OS is not using "battery saver" functions. Sometimes, by default, the battery saving is in "restricted mode" which can affect connections like wifi/bluetooth to save power. Try to see if you have this battery saving function ON and set to "no restrictions" - at least this is what I do on my Android phone.

Yeah - as I wrote I uninstalled Mi Fit and only use Amazfit now.

Hm, now as you said it... the Amazfit app also loaded the data from the Mi account.

The phone uses Android 9. The Amazfit app is not restricted by any battery saving modes as I put it on "Not optimized" just like the Mi Fit app before.
Last week I got an amazfit band 5. I already had a stratos 3. Today I ran 20km wearing both the band and the watch, recording the activity only on the stratos. The band 5 was the active device. Then when done I did a manual data sync from the stratos without activating it. I was hoping to get PAI AND all the firstbeat metrics. The data sync worked or it least it said it did but the activity didn't show up in zepp or strava so after maybe 5 minutes I activated the stratos and synced from zepp. Then the activity displayed in zepp. Finally I activated the band 5 again, because it's more comfortable and might be better for sleep etc.. This last step reset my 18k steps in zepp back to zero which was disappointing. I did get 79 pai though.
Should I have waited longer before giving up and activating the stratos or can't this be done?
EDIT* Answering my own question. Yes I should have waited. Today I tried again except this time with an indoor rowing activity on the stratos and a manual data sync from the watch and the activity displayed in zepp and synced to strava without me having to activate the stratos in zepp. I might go back to wearing the bip s.
Sleep detection on the band is pretty strange. Says I was in rem sleep while reading in bed.
