Hi all,
I have been using the Film1 app to watch movies on my tablet and on my TV, with a connected chrome-cast, for around 1 month. Since a couple of days (after a Huawei update) my Film1 app can only play movies on my chrome-cast, but not any more on my tablet.
I have tried already:
-Re-installing the Film1 App
-Re-installing my chrome-cast
-resetting my Film1 account (erasing all connected devices)
-Clearing cache of Film1 app
-clearing all data and re-installing the Film1 app
Problem description:
-If I start a movie without first connecting to my chrome-cast, the app shows on my tablet a circle spinning for ever.
-If I first connect the Film1 app to chrome-cast and then start the movie, the movie will be displayed on my TV.
-If during the movie I disconnect the chrome-cast from my tablet I will only get a black screen.
further I have noticed that when a movie is playing on my chrome-cast, and I disconnect from the chrome-cast, the movie keeps playing on the chome-cast but the Film1 app says that the connection with the chromecast has been stopped...
I have contacted Huawei support and they say that the app developer (Film1) needs to updated their app...
anyone have seen this problem before, and can provide any help?
thanks in advance
Vincent

Hi all,
I have been trying to get my PS3 to display videos from my Samsung Galaxy S2 (GTI9100) onto my TV onto which it does fine through iMediaShare. However when it comes to trying to get a video to display from another app it comes up with an error on my PS3.
Can anyone pin point the problem I have been trying for ages but to no avail. Is it just that you can only display videos from the iMediaShare app only and not form another app. If that is the case then why is my phone displaying the option to choose to play through iMediaShare when I choose a video from that app. My phone is currently running Jelly Bean 4.1.2.
Can anyone help me please.
I have an s2 as well (sprint variant.) I steam videos from my phone to my xbox using an app called "media server." Have you tried that one?

I have tried that and it doesn't work because that app that I am trying to stream off isn't detecting it, but it detects iMediaShare
I have a stand alone android device that supports bluetooth (keyboard and mouse) and has hdmi out. i use it to play videos, watch youtube, listen to music on my tv.
here's my problem.. some youtube videos are blocked on "mobile" devices.
I'm using the device basically as a pc (running android os) but theres no setting to have the youtube app report to youtube that its not a mobile app. does anyone have any other app suggestions? (that you can install on a android device, but report to youtube that their a browser.
any suggestions? are you a developer? write this app! ill buy a copy!! (and beta test)
there has to be both people in my situation and people who just want to watch all videos on their android devices.
i am also doing the same. how do we make you tube run everything on my nexus 7. sick of app version blocking everything. then Rhett desktop version not supporting flash.

Hi All,
And my apologies if this is the incorrect forum for this.
I have a minix and one of the main things I wanted this for was to use the livestream.com app to watch the rugby league whilst I live overseas. Just to be clear this is a legal stream and official app available in the play store.
When I load the app onto my box it all loads fine and I can get to the channels, when I then click on a stream to watch, it just loads a still and the spinning loading icon just sits there. livestream have not offered any help for this or any reasons why. So I am kind of on my own trying to troubleshoot this desperately.
Interestingly if I view the streams through the android browser it works fine, but if I use Chrome I get the same issue as the stream tries to open in MX player and just spins.
Just wondering if any of you smart cookies can help me try to figure this out and get some kind of workaround?
Cheers
Dan
I got my tablet today (model: ASUS ZenPad S 8 Z580C-B1-BK) and I was leary of buying a tablet with an intel chip since I've only had tablets and phones with the normal mobile chip makers. I'm not sure if these problems are because of that or not.
The CNN app will play recorded videos fine, but it won't play Live TV. I enter my cable provider, and then it looks like it normally does when it starts to play. It shows the red bars on the top and bottom that control the volume and videotime. Then it stops and says "Unfortunately CNN has stopped".
The Xfinity app won't play any videos. I sign in, and then it looks like the chosen video is going to start, but then it kicks me right back to the page with the show choices.
Is anyone else having this problem? Can someone test either app for me and report back? I need to send this tablet back if these apps aren't working. Other than the browser these are the first few apps I've tried.... Not starting off well at all. I hope I didn't make a huge mistake.
I can confirm exactly the same failure mode for the Xfinity TV Go app on my Zenpad 8 s.
I've installed an online streaming app from google play store. The developer of the app don't allow it to stream using a tv box so he can rent his own box. The app runs ok on cell phones and tablets, but uppon running on a tv box, i get no response when trying to play something or a message that the program is unavailable.
I've tried device spoofing app, but with no luck.
I'd hate to replace my tv box to a Windows one.
Any ideas?
