I would like to present a little VDO GUIDE for how to debrand Huawei Phone via my tool
[TOOL] SRK Tool Huawei Bootloader/ROOT/Recovery/Backup/Utility
In this VDO GUIDE , I use Huawei Mate 8 model, and use these same method for Huawei P9 Plus
HI, whats the benefit of debranding? I'm curious but dunno what the benefits are, thanks

The benefits of debrand , you can use new firmware from other variant, Maybe you can solve problem about your phone such as mate 8 can't go back to EMUI 4.0 after upgrade to EMUI4.1 I have to debrand to C432 then dload EMUI 4.0 of my stock firmware , for any people who use AL10 from china that have many bloatware or chinese apps you can debrand to EU.
By doing this, can I install international firmware on my Chinese variant?

Hi. Can the same thing be done in a P9 lite?
I will be interested to know if anyone has successfully debranded a Vodafone P9 Plus from the UK using this method?
Solved
any one test on L29, I want to debrand from C185 to C636
When open VERLIST.img had this code:
Code:
VIE_C900B000
EVA_Global
VIE_Global_B025
Edit:
I used VIE_C900B000 and debrand to C636 and upgrade framework to VIE-L29C636B130 from another thread yours
Thanks bro :fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
My phone came with C636, any benefits of me debranding it ?

did it last night, went from C02B127 to C432B161.
I would personally think if some voice illustration is attached, it will be more watcher-friendly.

HI,
Could you please write a step by step guide?
I would really appreciate it! I feel lost in the red forest...
My phone failed to update to c02b128 but it changed the version info without installing the new apps.. so now I need to debrand and install the latest fw manually..
Thank you in advance!
Best Regards!
I downloaded the B161 for 432 from the stock firmwares thread and then created the dload folder on the ext sd card and put the 2 files from the update zip into the dload folder. Then followed the video guide in the debranding thread. Just make sure yr phone is rooted (the tool can do that for you, it's very easy to follow the options). Once rooted you choose option 7 (utility) and then change the oeminfo & custombin (option 9) Then after rebooting choose option 7 again and choose option 10. Download Huawei extractor 0.9.9.3 (google it) and use it as shown in video, once finished with changing the ro.build.display then change recovery to stock (use the tool as per video) and then unroot from within supersu app (choose full unroot option in settings). Then use the project menu (it's in the video) to flash the update file. Once rebooted activate dev options and debugging and flash twrp recovery and root of you want and all done. Hope this helps a bit

VIE-AL10 anyone?
I have VIE-AL10 with VIE-AL10C00B176 Chinese version, anybody debranded this?
I live in Europe and there is no dual sim in Europe, am I better of Asia?
Any advice, appreciated.

Just a quick heads up for everyone thinking of using HuRUpdater for Honor 10 as I hard bricked my Honor 10 trying it out even by triple checking instructions carefully. It's definitely not compatible with it. Now I had to get it sent off for warranty repair. :crying:

No nothing at all. Tried everything. It's completely hard bricked. I even tried getting it to boot into fastboot mode but the display doesn't even turn on. I had to beg my mum to let me buy a new smartphone. I'm thankfully getting the OnePlus 6 and will sell the Honor 10 when it comes back from repair to pay my mum back. The only thing stuck in my mind is wishing I had just used erecovery earlier.

I used HurUpdater v0.3.zip and downloaded all firmware files for COL-L29 8.1.0.1.0.4 and renamed the files to match the HurUpdater thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-9/development/tool-flash-official-firmware-recovery-t3769279 Then I flashed in TWRP Recovery. It flashed successfully and I rebooted once complete. Then I got the black screen of death and tried to turn the phone on.
It's strange as the thread shows that it works for the P20 that has the same processor and confirmed by a user.

I think there is some issue with those build in firmware finder one of my friend tried .120 build with HurUpdater and it flashed but got different device build installed. Its showing device as fty-l29 with chipset-boston as build number and may security patch .
But when he tried with 104 his device also bricked and currently can't switch on. Does any one of you know a way to recover it.

Ah okay, glad I'm not alone. I tried to search for solutions too but nothing. It would be ideal if Huawei/Honor had a similar tool like what OnePlus have for there devices because it's as simple as using an MSM Download Tool and installing the Qualcomm Drivers and then flashing all files in the firmware. Huawei/Honor could have one for Kirin devices.
I saw the thread with all of the stock ROM links but no tutorial on how to install them
We have to wait that someone can figure out the rebrand method and make an easy guide or software to do this. I saw that it is possible just need the knowledge.

Method is and always was to flash oeminfo and firmware via dload. I have done 20+ times on 6X, v10, h8.
You need someone to share their oeminfo file and firmware via FF.

It's not just software but you also need purchased hardware.
i also have LYA-L09 branded H3G-IT but i did a soft rebrand in the past with funkyhuawei first and dload method then.
With update 10.1.0.288 (c432 made with regular hisuite, no proxy, no ota or everything else) safetynet is now broken (never had problems before).
I have dload package for 9.1.0.300 (c781) and also 9.1.0.346 (c781). If i flash one of this and then update, would i go back to stock branded firmware or something will definitely break?

If you installed the European ROM (ro.product.name = RMX3301EEA) you have to use the European package. If, however, you installed the global ROM, this package will still not work unfortunately, because even if it's called IN (India, or global model), it is intended for the Russian model (RMX3301RU). Probably Realme didn't notice the mistake because there's no official release of DP2 for the Indian model.

You should be able to install it without any problem. Here's the link to the latest version. I think you can install the OFP file directly with this tool.

First you have to extract the OFP file with an appropriate tool. There are multiple available online.
Then use simg2img to merge the appropriate super images (check super_map.csv, first row, EUEX), then follow the steps you already followed to install the global ROM to flash all the images.
As an example, for A.17 the appropriate command is:
Code:
simg2img super.0.e4a08b63.img super.1.f38881aa.img super.2.73b37b21.img super.img
I haven't been successful. I will think about this some more.
Still no luck as of yet.
