Hi guys
Ive used my device since it came out and i just noticed there is some red noise in the picture after ive taken a pic using stock camera with auto mode. The problem only happen when it comes to a very dark place without light. No problem on daylight tho
Is there any explaination ? I need some help.
Below is some sample of day and night sample.
Day sample : imgur.com/gallery/tH2sano
Night sample : imgur.com/gallery/X6Dqtq3
Day : There is no problem at all. Ive looked up all of my picture since then till now.
Night : The noise might occur when im in auto mode and in a very dark place. But i can reduce or remove the noise while playing in pro mode or record a video even in auto mode. Is the problem occured because my device or camera is broken or this is just some software render issue ?
Thank you XDA team !
P/S please increase your brightness to the highest to see the noise better
Thank you XDA team !

hi,
when opening the camera app, i see flickering when pointing the camera to white objects(like a wall), and it is usually when i'm in a room.
in sunlight i can't see the problem, and when looking at dark objects it is less noticeable.
i did a test with my friend that has i9000 and we tested in the same room and he doesn't have this problem.
it also happens when shooting videos(i can see the flicker when playing back the file)
my rom is bionix-v.
this problem started before this rom, so i don't know if it's related.
thanks.

Have you already tried another screen / display mode?
Go to Settings menu => Display => Display/Screen mode.
There is Dynamic, Standard and Movie.
Maybe one of those will be more realistic in colors ... for your eyes ;-)
Alternatively you can try to adapt the screen brightness too.
Good luck !
+1 to what It_ler said, for me, the Dynamic Background effect oversaturates the image. I leave it in Standard.
Have tried all the display modes and used it on every brightness mode but its the same and I am also having the same problem in my games
Send it to SC if the colors are different on same display settings.
I have an Alcatel One Touch Fierce and recently my back camera has been acting wierd, whenever I take a video if its a bit dark the video itself will get darker. if I'm outside its fine but in dim rooms its like the exposure sets itself to -100 and contrast to dark. If I move it to the window the video gets fixed and normal lighting. This only happens while recording, and when you save the video itself it saves the parts where it gets dark or back to normal when moved somewhere more bright. This started happening a month after I got the phone any ideas??? THANKS IN ADVANCE!
Hey guys. As you can read in the title its about some problems i ran into when using the camera. Using the official v3.88 rom btw
For example
Video recording
4k records in laggy 15 fps in good light, 11 fps low light
1080p records 24 fps in good light, 11 fps in low light
For 720p its the same as 1080p
Photography
I have focusing issues when using automatic mode on macro and/or close up shots. Camera tries to focus, then focuses beyond the sweet spot (meaning its sharp but it still adjust focus beyond that so it gets blurry again), and then it jumps back to what the focus was before. Happens very rarely that it stops the focus where it should be to get a good picture.
Now for low light and complete dark conditions using the led flash.
The focus issues here here are similar to the previous macro/close up issue.
Example scenario: complete dark room, camera with flash led enabled. Now when i try to take a picture using the shutter button (not onscreen one as this just shoots without attempting to focus at all), the led turns on, camera tries to focus, led turns off after focusing, focusing indicator appears again somehow (orange square), now i press the shutter down completely, it takes the picture and it comes out really blurry as it resets the focus right to where it was at the beginning (thats what similar to the macro shots).
Does anyone of u guys have these problem on the same rom (v3.88)?
Do any Mini and Max users here have similar issues?
If u have time pls try out the things mentioned above (video and photography pls) and post your results if you have the same issues or similar things happening to you.
Anyone?
Guys, pls. Already 170 views and nobody answered. This goes to anyone. Max, mini and normal z7 users. Pls tell me about if u have got camera issues or not on the latest available stock rom on your phone
I'm having the same problems with videorecording, low FPS in low light, like 10-20. Im using Resurrection Remix 7.1.1 though, i dont rememeber if this happened with the stock version i had (3.84). Have you found any fix to this?
Edit: i´ve found a workaround for the low FPS in low light. You have to set the "exposure" setting to -2, it will make the video darker but you will get a stable framerate.

Thank you for responding. Yeah i know its due to exposure being too aggressive while video recording. What about taking pictures in low light (or even in a completely dark room) with led flash on? Does it focus correctly and captures a sharp image or does it kinda reset the focus after led turns off and gives u a blurry result?
And what about 4k video recording. Does it give you stable 30 fps in good light conditions? I know mine didnt.
Has anyone else noticed the preview in the camera app goes slow motion when night mode enables?
I've been playing around with the phone and it seems to only be when the little moon icon is visible, focus on the video preview goes to mush aswell as soon as night mode enables.
It’s probably just the low shutter speed which is necessary for low light photos

It's only in the preview, not when pressing the shutter button, though I have found the camera assistant from Galaxy store can help improve some of the sluggishness
The sensor has to be open longer to get in more light for night mode
I was searching for a fix since this April update. i found that clearing the cache from the Camera cleared the preview lag in low light. Reseting the camera settings wasnt enough.

It's the normal behavior of any camera with low shutter speed (in low light condition).
