I do not know what that error is due to,
but the solution is to flash your official firmware and then flash your patched boot.img,
this patched boot.img can not return error since it is the one corresponding to your official firmware.

Guys, I need help! I got a demo unit a605x. On joys stitched through one official firmware for Russia. Everything went without errors, but when you restart and further installation does not give the modem and the inscription in English, they say, contact the operator. After reading the forum I can not understand what I did wrong? I understood that it was necessary to sew without a file of the CP (responsible for the modem)? And another point, does the process of firmware OEM option lock: on/off? Or he is affected with the unofficial firmware? I didn't change it, maybe that's the problem. What I just did not put the firmware, all by. Maybe there are bright heads here? Thanks in advance!

TWRP recovery.
I built this upon request from another member, but has never revisited the original thread to test whether it works or not, so I have no idea if it does or doesn't.
I asked him to supply me with the stock recovery which he didn't so I have grabbed it from else where.
I don't own this device, so it's up to someone to test and report:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59963360&postcount=8
If the version above doesn''t work please try the one below:
TWRP-286x-n9100
Sorry none of the recoveries will boot up. All of them get stuck at the boot to recovery screen.
Even the stock recovery didnt work. ON another forum I posted the stock recov ery image as well as the modified cwm that would boot but wouldn't flash anything.
I'm using the 5.01 hong kong update from Sammobile for the sm-n9100.
Heres a link to the stock recovery from the firmware.
And this is the modified CWM that boots up but doesn't flash anything.

Did you use the Hong Kong recovery? It may work now that he has flashed the Hong Kong firmware and bootloader.
I don't know what it is the Chinese do to these devices, but they always seem to cause issues.
I haven't had the time to look at it again, so hopefully your version will work.

Hi all
TWRP is working for me
N9100 HK Lollipop firmware.
Found it in a rusian site.
I'm not owner / creator of this method/recovery
I just google, found and it worked for me
0. backup! backup ! backup!
1. flash via Odin any CMW based recovery and reboot
2. flash this kit via odin "Modem, Bootloader, TWRP for v5.x" N9100ZHU1BOC4_Modem_Bootloader_TWRP.tar
3; reboot
voila!
Obviously it's for lollipo so if you don't upgrade to lastest firmware from samsung, don't try it and dont complain
I will not post the link to the site here because the guy in this site is "selling" his custom roms; I disagree with it

No.....because you will also need to odin stock pk1 onto your at&t phone in download mode before anything will change. After that, whatever features stock pk1 firmware has along with your phone contract is what you will have on your phone. So in the end, probably.
MMB29M. G930AUCS4APK1 is the Latest version we have gotten from AT&T OTA dated Nov. 1 and released Nov. 18, 2016

Yes, now I'm starting to understand all these version numbers. My end goal is to install LineageOS, but I need MM first.
So now, I've switched back to Huawei eRecovery instead of TWRP, and tried two different firmwares (before B360 because apparently it prevents installing LineageOS), that were "validated with my IMEI". Settings>Update>Local>Reboot, installation starts I'm about to cry tears of joy and then around 15%, installation fails with no further details. I can then shutdown and reboot to my good ol' lollipop. Not sure what to do next...

I still have the same lollipop firmware my device was bought with. I don't think I have US variant. I brought it from (Amazon France)[https://www.amazon.fr/Honor-5X-Smar...d=1508409802&sr=8-2&keywords=huawei+honor+5x] and I am in France. The product title says it is unlocked but I had to do it myself.
I'll try your link as soon as I receive my SD card, because apparently it is required for this method. I still have this file from an older download, but was scared because a PDF file included in it mentioned it should be used with B140 and did not mention B160, but now that I've flashed a stock recovery meant for B140, this doesn't scare me anymore.
Thank you very much for taking the time to help a noob FOSS-enthusiast!

Good luck.:good:
I own a Chinese AL00 Honor 9,B201 is so poor,so I am intending to downgrade to B136,or B155.However in FF the lowest version I can find for my phone is B190:crying:
I verified the B136 for AL10 with IMEI,miraculously it passed, saying the firmware I will install is AL00C00B136.But when I finish the DNS changing I found I still only can get AL10C00B136.
Any idea on this issue is appreciated

Thanks so much! One question, will my bl be unlocked and lose my warranty?
Sent from my Huawei Honor 9 using XDA Labs
I handed over to the service in Poland with unlkock bootloader and there was no problem.
It depends on the service.
Normally your warranty is woid now.
How about download via FF and flash in the 3-button-mode?

Hi! what is the difference between B201 and B136 or B155?
BTW, I had AL00C00B201 flashed to L09C432B130, but it is very poor compared to AL00C00B201.
Now I want to go back to AL00C00B201 but I dont know how to do it...

Perhaps you need the HWOTA Rebrand method to AL00,I guess.Maybe you can use the B123 Service Repair Firmware but I AM NOT SURE
For the differences, they say that B201 underclock the CPU for better battery usage(ironically I didn't feel any improvement),but B123 and B136 aren't.I don't know about B155.So if you are a heavy gamer B201 may be a nightmare What's more B201 is in conflict with several Apps so they will evaporate into thin air after reboot...
Do notice that package for AL00 and AL10 are exactly the same. And the model number will be unchanged even flashing the AL10 firmware.I tested myself downgrading. And don't forget to wipe data.

If my mind is working properly,When it comes to select OEMinfo you can select to Rebrand to C00.All left to do should be replacing the EU Firmware with CN ones(can be downloaded on FF).I didn't try it so can't promise it's working

I'm trying to do that for 5 hours now but it doesnt work
I tried to rebrand to AL00C00 first but after reboot, it is still L09C432
---------- Post added at 06:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:43 PM ----------
the oeminfo file is copied onto the sdcard, but after that it says:
dd: /storage/sdcard1/oeminfo: no such files or directory

Sorry for the late reply,it was 2:30 am that time here
People experience problems but that is about"tmp/oeminfo",not your problem...
I remember seeing a post about flashing it manually in terminal but can't find it now...

thanks for answering.
there was two missing lines in the script, i managed to fix it.
but i can find the rights files for b201 (update, update_all_hw, update_data_public).
i copied an incomplete file, so adb installed a recovery version. i updated it with dload but it did not succeed...

The B201 files is on FF with number"88860"or"88861".It is under model STFAL10C00.There are 3 files to be renamed after downloading. Then the firmware change should work technically.

I know this is about capacitive button fix but it should be exactly what you want.It contained the service Repair Firmware and a oeminfo_tool batch file which seems able to write oeminfo to CN and flash stock rec.It is also easier to use the 3-button-combo.

It is not that important due to the fact that AL00 and AL10 can use the same firmwares.I tried this method before and the model number did change to AL10 but nothing gets wrong. That time I didn't fully complete the guide.Seeing inside the package are separate folders of AL00 and AL10 I guess If the installation is done properly the model might not get wrong
Good luck!
