"Find My Phone" widget for Pace/Stratos - Amazfit

I want to develop a widget for Stratos/Pace, witch will put the "Find My Phone" function on one of the screens on the springboard.
I found a few tools which could help with this task:
AmazfitSpringboardSettings
AmazfitSpringboardPluginExample
Since I have zero experience in development for android, I'd like to ask for any suggestions on what to read and which software to use to find the right function, place it to plugin example and run it on the watch.
Thanks

[Q] Android noob: where can I get detailed, quality info on Android's settings

Android noob: where can I get detailed, quality info on Android's settings [particulary re. privacy, location and sync].
For example, when you start your phone for the first time you get asked to do you want to use "Google Location". Most people would probably choose yes.
But it is only because of the past 'scandal' about the iPhone and Android devices keeping location data that some of the implications of this option came to light [for me anyway].
I've tried searching for good info but I can't find anything authoritative. It amazes me that Google has provided a fine resource for developers at http://developer.android.com/index.html but there is bugger-all from them for ordinary users like myself.
Some questions that come to mind that I'd like to know more about:
How does A-GPS [assisted GPS] fit in to Android's "Google Location" service? Does it correspond to the Settings/Location and Security/Use Wireless Networks option? Or is it something else entirely?
How does "Use Sensor Aiding" fit in with "Google Location" service? Does it phone home to Google or is it like the GPS sensor (i.e. it does'nt phone home to Google)
Or what exactly is synced when you enable "Background data" as you have to, to use Android Market and why must it be enabled to use the Market?
Thanks for any help.

[Q] Launching one app from another

First off, the noob video was great.
Next: I have a Galaxy S2 (D710) from sprint running Cyanogenmod 10. I don't think that really plays into the question I have, but just in case. What I am trying to do is launch one app from another. Specifically, I want to launch specific remotes from the "Universal Remote" app from Homeseer's HSTouch app. I am using the full version of Universal remote.
I have had success launching the camera on the phone from HSTouch by following the posts here: "board.homeseer.com/showthread.php?t=154394" (sorry for the lack of a link, I am not allowed to do that yet.)
Universal remote has a widget that can can launch specific remotes. When you set that up, it appears to use something similar to a url to launch the remote. IE: "ur://remote/Relmtech.Basic Input" to launch the basic input remote. I have tried putting this in the launch application dialog with no success. I have also tried any iteration or "Universal Remote" i could think of with no success. I don't know too much about the way that android works, but I assume that there is a "Path" where it looks for applications. When a command is given to run an application, it looks at the locations included in that path for the executable with the given name.. I am thinking that maybe "Camera" and "Calendar" are in that path, which is why they launch when those words are passed as arguments to the HSTouch app. Either "Universal Remote" is not in that path (not likely) or it is called something else (more likely).
So the question: Does anyone know how I can figure out what I need to put into HSTouch as an argument for launching these remotes?
Thanks in advance,
Josh

NFC Tags and Greenify (best combo ever!)

(note: I just searched the entire Forum not mention a word about NFC Tags yet)
I just bought a package of NFC Tags and I'm learning&playing with those.
I see mainly that you can add an App to run after use it, and a universe of things you can also do with it.
But I'd like to use your App's shortcut: 'Hibernate Now' that I did create within the App options to my Home Screen.
Those NFC Tags Apps don't show how to run App's shortcuts, and google is confusing or too deep. Anything else, yes is standard and there exist.
But IDK if someone or developers can tell me how to run 'Hibernate Now' Shortcut with a NFC Tag.
Someone suggested on Google recommend do a URI but doesn't work for me (Android/Samsung):
Even more interesting is to run shortcut instead to DEPEND on loaded App to watch for the tag to run anything (for iPhone, IDK for Android):
'reddit dot com/r/shortcuts/comments/9ifl9y/i_have_an_nfc_tag_that_opens_up_a_shortcut_to'
Everybody (even Developers) will be happy with this new combo-use !
Thanks in advance for any help and Happy New Year for everyone ! =D
You can use An App like AutomateIt or tasker to trigger the required action when NFC tag is detected.

Using Android intents for automation

I'm working on doing some automation on my phone, and I want to perform some actions that I'm hoping I can perform using Android intents. I'm not very knowledgeable about how they work or how to find them, but I'm trying to hack some stuff together.
Here's my main question: how do I go about figuring out if I can use intents for a particular task or see what I can do with intents?
For example, I would like to be able to trigger the "Share trip progress" feature within Google Maps automatically (using Flic buttons, which allow me to use Android intents). I don't know if I can set up an intent myself to trigger this action in the Google Maps app, and I don't really know where to start in order to try to find out how to do it.
Another example is that I would like to trigger Google Assistant with my Flic button, but I want to use my Anker Roav Bolt in my car to respond to the action. Flic has a function built in to trigger Google Assistant, but it's a lot more invasive in that it opens the prompt on the phone and disrupts my Google Maps navigation as opposed to if I long-pressed the button on my Roav Bolt and it just listens for instructions without disruption. I have no clue if this is something I could trigger using Android intents, but I'd like to find a way to make this smoother.
If you have solutions to these two problems, that would be great. But as I said, I would also like to have a better general understanding of how I could find this stuff myself for future stuff I want to set up on my phone.
Thank you.

A better Clipboard For Samsung Smart Select With Tasker?

Hello Folks,
This is my first post. I'm a vivid reader of your forum and generally really like in-depth advice is given around here.
Hopefully, there's also a solution for what I'm going to describe now.
I know that there are quite a few users that would like to use Smart Select more efficiently, so I hope that my idea can break the ice.
My Device: Android 10 based Note 9 device, non-root.
I want to be able to use Samsung Smart Select to crop an image and save it to clipboard.
I already tried to share it with the clipboard with third-party apps but it seems Samsung Smart Select doesn't utilize the clipboard.
Apparently, the only working option is to save the picture to the gallery.
In many cases just saving to the clipboard is not supported by Smart Select. Say I want to add a file to a folder in One Note.
Smart Select only allows me to add what's cropped to a new note and not to an already existing one.
Now that I couldn't find another way to do it, I thought to myself, is it possible to use tasker to automate the following steps?
1. Crop with Smart Select and normally safe/share to a specific predefined folder.
2. Let Tasker add the newest file in that folder to the clipboard.
3. I can just paste whatever is in the clipboard in any given app.
If that works, can someone tell me how to do that, please?
Best,
Mario
