LineageOS Root Installed with SU but No Root Access - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hi
Ive successfully installed Lineage onto my G5 and chained the arm64 version of root and GApps nano at install time. Ive enable root for Apps+ADB in Developer Options but when an app tries to request root it fails. Root Checker also shows there is no root access.
What may have caused this?
cheers

No apps listed in Supersu after installing CW 12.1

None of my apps have root access and I've installed several SU programs. I can't enable Write access in file explorer ES b/c that requires root access and when I open superSU it says it needs to be updated but neither selecting normal install neither install with CWRP updates SuperSU. What did I do wrong with the rooting process? Anyone else had this problem.
From what I have read CM no longer comes rooted it needs to be rooted with a separate process. I do not know why?
You need to give root access to apps and adb--no need for SU any more. The setting is under "Developer Options".
thanks

Root Permission ROM Lineage 13.0

I just installed [ROM][X82X][6.0.1][OFFICIAL] LineageOS 13.0 for LeEco Le Max2 . Everything is fine. However, after the installation of the supersu addon from lineage and after i have the app root permission enabled seems like i still dont have root.
I remember from my last phone wich has cyanogenmod, the moment you start an app or the app need root you get a message to allow that.
Other ways to get root acces doesnt work neither.
i had the same thing.
i tried xposed and magically it works as if it has root but seems not to have it.
try install your apps that require root, it may work.
Meh, I couldn't make the root work so I just change to another Rom. Thank you anyways

Rooting rr remix rom 6.0

Hey there.........
I have upgraded from my previous rr-remix N version to latest rr-remix O (8.1) version. Unfortunately there is no root access for anything so i flashed a superuser.zip and i found the system app remover in the configuration settings. There i tried to find and uninstall magisk manager but cannot find it. So i headed to developer option and found out that root access is allowed for apps and adp also. So i selected the root access for app and adp. After that i tried to install latest versions of SuperSu and Magisk but Magisk's version was unable to install. Indeed SuperSu got installed. Suprisingly root checker says the root access is not installed properly and the system app remover setting is also gone.
I am tired of flashing an deflasing those files. I just wanted to root my device thats all.
Device information,
Recovery used - Red Wolf (latest version, perhaps 3.1.1)
Magisk version - 16.00 and 16.3 too
Super Su version- 2.82
Rom Version - 6.0 (edited 14/05/18)
Phone used - Redmi Note 4 (mido)
Thank u .....in advance..??

Root 8.11.29 Problem

Hi
I installed 8.11.29 from xiaomi.eu and got a install and root with magisk. When I try to apply Adaway after having a root permition right, it says it's impossible to apply. With Root Explorer, I have the same problems, neither can I delete files nor add.
With 8.11.15 all program work and Magisk superuser too.

Hi,
In Magisk Settings make sure that you have 'Systemless Hosts' set to 'on'. That should solve your problem.

Thanks!
And for Root Explorer?
I can't delete or add any files in root folder.
Bloatware remover also not work and can remove apps.

Rooting multiple users in Android 10

Hi, I recently rooted my OnePlus 6T running on Android 10 and there are some root apps I want to run on a second user on this phone, but the root checker apps say that I'm not rooted on this (second) user, even though I am rooted on admin user of this phone (root checker confirms it).
I tried installing the magisk manager in the second user, didn't work.
Then I flashed the magisk.zip again from twrp, didn't work.
Is there any way to grant root permission to this second user?
Any help would be appericiated.
Cheers.
@ppaw
