you say only design how it s possible the phone featured with stereo speakers and only one in fact ?
Oh god, its stereo dude, listen to your earpice its clearly..??
They are not stereo speakers ??*??* they called some effect I don't remember it.. so even we have only main speaker and another one is earpiece speaker to boost more sound... Even though it act as a speaker in loudspeaker mod but it's not good as compared to main speaker... So clear the confusion. And those who things if sound coming from two speakers means stereo speaker then kindly Google about stereo speaker.

Play some games or play videos with stereo audio. You can hear stereo effect

Hello!
Well we all know that HTC never gave us a loud loudspeaker for ringtones, but I hope that the Droid/Butterfly are the first to be louder.
So how's the speaker for ringtones?
And if you can compare it to other HTC devices?
The OneX even with mods like Sony Xloud is barely hearable in a noisy place like a mall
When I'm playing music I set my volume to the lowest possible setting and it's still too much for my tastes. I can hear my alarm going off from the other side of the house. The speaker on this phone is incredibly loud.

Apparently some people have defective speakers. If you get a DNA that doesn't burst your eardrums I would get a replacement.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2111704
The speaker on the DNA is plenty loud. Any time I use the speaker I have it turned almost all the way down.
I'm not sure how loud mine is. It seems very very loud for only one volume, but it seems very quiet on full volume.
Any thoughts?
One might even say the speaker is TOO loud, laying in bed and watching movies even on the lowest setting allows my brother in the next room to hear what's going on. I'm wondering if there is a kernel mod that can be used to lower it actually. I know some devs on the nook color were able to boost sound output so I imagine one could also go in reverse.
Sounds good!
I hope someone can compare it to OneX's speaker
I checked the other speaker questions but didn't really satisfy me.
As you can see with our Z Ultras the earphone and speakerphones look to be the same (symetrical). It reminded me of the HTC One which has the best front forward speakers when watching a movie, and also have symmetrical speakers.
Is there a way we can boost the left earphone to match the right when watching a movie like the HTC One speakers? I am hoping it's not a limitation of the hardware earphone because if we could boost the left speaker to match the right it would be awesome!
Anyone know anything about it?
Thanks!
Getting audio from anything other than the person on the other end of the call is not possible. I'm also pretty sure the earpiece speaker would break if you pumped the volume up that high (the conference option while in a call will activate the "big" speaker, i.e the speaker at the bottom).
- Mono = 1 (Ultra)
- Stereo = 2 (HTC One)

Dude, they are not symmetrical at all. You're confusing the speaker with the microphone. The loudspeaker is at the bottom side, near the corner. Try playing some audio and cover it with your finger and you'll hear difference.

D'oh! I didn't realize that wasn't the speaker. I think the next Ultra should follow what the HTC one did because it would be perfect!
Thanks for the clarification, unk_damnation!

I realized now that i failed in my previous post. I though you asked if it was possible to use the second - in-call ear-piece, as a regular speaker I'm a little slow today.
the z2 i get doesn't come with the MDR-NC31EM noise cancelling headphones. so i'm think why not get the newest bt headphone and give it a try?
the thing about sbh80 most attractive to me is the aptX and noise canceling.
but before pulling the trigger, it would be great if someone already have this pair gives your opinion... good/bad/ugly
Sorry to hijack your thread. I don't own sbh80. Just wanted to know what's the use of aptX?

At first, they sound terrible, after 15 hours of used, they sound much better, not too much bass, not very loud, it sound very natural.

What about the noise cancelation features? I want to buy them but I don't know if they support native noise cancelation like the bundled headphones

I don't think the sbh80 has noise cancellation, when I was on calls, it sound very good, the other end can hear me clearly, it sound like a regular Bluetooth headset.
The NC31EM earphone is a true NC earphone, music sound varies a little according to the surrounding, you will hear some hiss on and off if the music is on pause, I haven't had a call conversation with it yet, so I can't compare the two on voice calls.
The SBH80 is a nice headset, it is very convenient to use, it sits around your neck when you don't use it, the control button is a bit small, I use my left hand to press the buttons on the right side, then right hand for the left side, it sound much better than the SBH52, as good as the MWV1.

Can anyone who's used it comment on speaker performance? I love everything else but lack of stereo speakers disappoints.

I can't comment on the quality of the speaker as I don't have the phone yet but it does seem sort of short-sighted on LG's part. For me it's not a deal breaker as the headphones are more important. However with a conscious effort to consider sound quality, you would think they would want to jump on board with the idea of stereo front facing speakers.
I think that having stereo speakers would increase the bezel. I'd rather have thin bezel than front facing stereo speakers. Having the speaker on the bottom is perfect for me as on the back the volume is greatly reduced when the phone is sitting on a table (missed some morning alarms this way).
1+X Speaker is too QIUET. The 1+1 is louder. Is it like this or is it DEFECT?

Could be a defect - though I haven't got a 1+1 to compare to...
Its just as loud as my htc one m8 though.
Its plenty loud in my opinion. Was slightly disappointed when i realised it was only one speaker on the bottom
Probably a defect. Get a return or refund. The earpiece and speaker both get LOUD.

You can't really compare the two, the OPO has stereo output. The OPX has only the left speaker. Unless you are referring to the ear speaker, then they about the same.
It's not really clear enough to hear especially when I'm outside

It was a Hardware issue or do you solve these issue with Software? Like reset vor fullwipe? I have the same Problem... I can hear my phone-partner but it is verry verry noisy...
Either you really have a hardware defect or a serious problem with your hearing
I nearly get a heart attack every morning when my alarm goes off... and yes, it is THAT loud! -.- I had to reduce the volume of my alarm .mp3 via software to be bearable.
Mine is ok. Slightly above average. Maybe its individual preference
I don't mean the two speakers on the bottom side. I mean the speaker which we use for calling on the top side. Alarm and Musik works great, because it cames Form the two speakers.
It's possible to make stereo sound with earpiece like nexus 5?

OPO is dual-speakers, not stereo output. Although, my OPX still has a louder loudspeaker as my OPO. This is very noticeable in playing games and music.
