I don't know if anything is changed in quality but you can now change the video quality to 4k directly in the video settings (you don't have to go to the 4k mode)
IF IT DOESN'T INSTALL, THEN USE APK EDITOR TO EDIT THE APK INSIDE 'COMMON' MODE AND MAKE SURE IT'S SELECTED AS INTERNAL. IF IT STILL DOESN'T WORK YOU NEED TO DISABLE YOUR PHONE'S SIGNATURE VERIFICATION (google it, I'm not allowed to post the method on xda)
Please leave a thank if it works for you

It's not the apk that has verification. Your phone checks the signiture, unless you uninstall the stock camera app and then install this one
MOD EDIT: Removed

There was a lot of talk about lucky patcher in this thread. Discussions about this app and other such warez apps are not allowed on XDA. Any more posts encouraging the use of this app will be removed.

in short: Unlock bootloader, use magisk. I've tried this only with LineageOS.

Never. Looks like Sony uses some sort of e-fuse (comparable to Knox on Samsung phones) on their XA2 series. Once unlocked, it cannot be closed. You can only hide root with several magisk tricks.
Of course ! The users of sony it is himself who speaks.
Why allow unlocking the bootloader, and not allow relocking. So they urge customers to lose the security and warranty of their devices.
I use ROM Sony
-AOSP 8.1 (H4113) (unofficial), I tried according to your instructions and is not an app install.
Maybe another solution? thank you

-tried with 50.1.A.13.83, can not be installed.

You can accomplish this under any ROM as long as you have the Xposed framework installed. Search for the module "20MP SuperiorAuto", install and enable it and then reboot.

I just posted in this thread. the 20mp auto (enabled through the xposed mod) is not better quality than the 20mp manual.

If you want the 20mp, set it to manual, centre weighted exposure. Auto white balance is pretty good for most situations.
If you just rooted the phone and haven't jumped to a non-stock ROM, then there's a small laundry list I did:
-Install F-Droid and Adaway
-Install Xposed framework
-Install Greenify
-Install Titanium Backup
-Use Titanium Backup to backup and uninstall bloat system apps (like "What's New")
Root opens up a lot more freedom for the phone. Xposed in particular is fantastic for changing just about anything.
Newbies should know, you don't need to unlock your bootloader to have fun. Root and try the xposed mods.
Sent from my D6503 using XDA Free mobile app
Yep it's unlocking the bootloader that voids your warranty, and unless you wish to install a custom kernel based rom is unnecessary.
One of the reasons I used to root ( not anymore, I'm kinda bored) was to install Dsploit and wifikill to have some fun with unsecured WiFi networks.
Add adblock, titanium backup. Bloat freeze (Sony phones have the least).
Have some themes.

I hope you did a TA backup before you unlocked your bootloader otherwise you have lost your DRM keys which is not reversible.
Beyond that I hope you enjoy your new Z2!
Hi everyone
I managed to root my android phone yesterday (I checked with 2 root-checker apps). Now I'm having trouble removing pre-installed apps like Twitter and Yellow Pages which I never use. I tried few uninstall apps, and after granting them permission from SuperUS, they perform an uninstall (some apps do it forcefully) and give a message that the apps were deleted. The apps are not removed from my application list but when I click on it to run, they give an error message. But when I restart my phone, those apps I deleted start working again as if nothing happened.
What I'm I doing wrong? My phone is HTC One M8, android.
Thank you for any help

Yes, I did that before I rooted it.
I also tried using a File Explorer (rooted version) to uninstall those system app but couldn't find System files. I found a file called Root, but nothing is in the file.

I just tried it now but same problem. I select twitter to delete. It gives me a message that uninstall was successful. I check to see if it's listed on my home page, and it is although when I click on it, it gives an error message. However after restarting the phone, twitter somehow recovers and works again!!! Really strange. It's as if it wasn't uninstalled to begin with.

You need to remove read / write protection. You can do this most easily by flashing a modded kernel (boot.img) through fastboot. Alternatively, there's custom roms that have this already or you can mod a kernel module. There's a guide in the General section of your phone's forum. If you go that route, make sure that the module is compatible with the update you're on as the guide might be outdated.

Doesn't work
Hi,
The apk doesn't ask SuperSu for root permission.
(honor 5c L-51)
How can I fix this?
Thanks and sorry for my bad english.
Thx will try on my new phone
Same issue that @BruugarStalker , the apk doesn't ask supersu for root permission, i'm on a honor 5C L-51 as well.
Somebody has an idea ?
@Zhyrclew Install this package for rooting this device:
https://download.chainfire.eu/921/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip?retrieve_file=1
and there should be have no problem with granting permissions in this app.
@przemas2468
My device is already rooted with supersu, i flashed the ZIP file from the download section of supersu.com (Recovery Flashable.zip -v2.79) on the twrp recovery. (can't post a link sry)
Plus, I already have several apps that have asked and were granted root acces without any problem.
I'll try the version u linked later, but i'm not convinced.
I already flashed the OTG activator with success btw, and if i can't test with any devices the otg function for now, i noticed that despite the malfunction of the otg connect app, the 'USB host check' app now checks the 'android.hardware.usb.host.xml' and 'handheld_core_hardware.xml' as OK, and says that the otg function seems enabled.
I replaced my supersu v2.79 by the v2.65 you linked, and reinstalled the otg connect app, and it worked ! The app have now root access, and I can connect/disconnect normally. Thx !
Then I updated the supersu to the last version, and the otg connect app still work fine. Perfect
Same problem the app doesn't request for root access
