I have an LG G3 VS985 that shuts down immediately after verizon splash screen. I have tried going into the recovery menu and booting in safe mode, and wiping the cache and I still have the same problem. Also with the phone running off of just battery it only shows the lg logo and resets, if it is plugged into the wall then it will show the verizon splash screen and shut down. I have not tried a factory reset because the person wants to recover some stuff from the phone. Anyone have any suggestions? Or am I going to just have to go ahead and resort to trying some stuff that will lose all their data.

My Samsung Stratosphere turned itself off sometime and now is rebooting to the Samsung logo, and then turning back off, and rebooting (a couple times earlier it booted to the main android menu, but turned back off immediately afterwards) and when I plugged it into the charger it acts like it's charging and then turns off and acts like it's charging and over and over again, even when the battery indicates that it's at more than half full.
Does anyone know what's happening? (no custom ROMs or anything, it's all standard btw). I took the battery out and everything and it still does the same thing when I put it back. I tried to do a factory reset, but the recovery mode screen always jumps away when I try to activate it (I press both Vol+ and Vol-, recovery mode screen comes up but goes instantly, then the phone goes into a boot loop again).
Please help, thank you!
I have a rooted/unlocked verizon lg g2. The screen just shows snow on it regardless of what i do. Power cycle it and the LG splash screen is just snow. Power it completely off and back on and still snow. Would you guys bother attempting to flash it to factory defaults? I am not sure if i'll even be able to cmplete this without the screen working....
Just this morning, I woke up and saw that my LG Zero H650E was rebooting. This had happened before and I fixed it on multiple occassions by waiting till the battery ran out, and then charged it before turning the phone on. This booted my phone normally. I thought this most recent happening this morning was another one of these occassions. Therefore, I just left it on my desk to drain. About 3 hours later, it had turned off after draining so I went ahead and charged it to about 15% and then held down the power button for around 3 seconds and it booted. But after 10 minutes it still had not finished booting and I found it most unusual so I tried to boot it into factory data reset mode(I am using stock ROM), and attempted to hard reset it because I could not seem to do anything else, like download mode(power+volume up, then plug into computer) or letting it drain to 0% again and boot. When I booted it into factory reset mode, I selected "Yes", then "Yes" again. It showed the LG logo screen, with the words "Powered by Android" at the bottom and then the green Android with a blue shape in front and a gear behind appeared. After 1 second it disappeared and went back to the aforementioned LG logo screen and proceeds to do absolutely nothing. No matter how many times I have tried to factory reset it, this has always happened. I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks
My wife's S5 rebooted itself, then stuck on the white T-Mo 4GLTE splash screen (she's leery of updating past 4.x). I tried flashing stock (NK2) bootloader, modem, and firmware with the same result. With one added "feature" - the battery drained from 36% to 0. Just for fun I flashed PE1 and same thing happened.
Wipde cache and dalvik to see if that would help but got the same result.
I haven't tried a factory reset yet because she wants info from local storage and is pretty terrible about backing up.
Any suggestions?
Fixed.
Plugged it into the wall charger for the faster charge, and when it hit 15% I thought what the hell. Seemed to stick on the splash screen again, but I left it alone and plugged in. Half an hour later... normal home screen is back.
Hoping for some help or alternatives to fix my fiancee's Pixel XL. Last night the phone just kept flashing the 'G' logo on for 10 seconds, off for 10 seconds. She said the phone was close to dying before it happened, and I imagine it probably ended up draining the battery afterwards with the constant bootloop. Plugged it in all night but the charging screen didn't come up and would just stay in the bootloop. I could get it into the boot loader (power button and volume down), but it wouldn't go into recovery mode and instead would go right back to the boot loop.
So I tried a battery pack to charge it and it still didn't show charging, but I was able to get it into recovery mode eventually, but still boot loop afterwards. At one point, after leaving it on boot loader menu while attempting to charge, it eventually just tried to start itself and made its way to the second Google splash screen after the main G logo. Looked like it froze there though and I couldn't get it to that point again.
On my way to work this morning I tried plugging it into my car's USB port after powering off from the boot loader, and this time I kept flashing that it was charging (looked like it was 3/4 charged but not sure how accurate that is). So I got into recovery again and tried 3 factory resets consecutively. Still bootloop after attempting a startup afterwards. There was a similar issue a couple weeks ago where it looked like it was stuck in a bootloop, but it turned out the phone actually was dead that time and the charger wasn't working. Once we switched chargers it booted right up.
Any other suggestions or possibilities? I don't have much troubleshooting experience otherwise. Phone is fully stock, Google Fi. Any other info I can provide please let me know!
