Can you run the "CPU/GPU Meter & Notification & Monitor & Stats" app by Razor Solutions ltd and tell me your idle cpu percentage? mine never goes below 30%.
On android 7.0, CPU idled at 0-1%.
how do I find out what is causing this in oreo?
edit: so it looks like it's not easy to get cpu usage info in oreo. the app shows the wrong percentage , probably.

I saw that there are quite a few other threads but what I'm interested about is two things :
- an app that monitors and shows a CPU usage graph , what frequencies it used on an interval of hours , percentage of usage.
- an app that shows cpu temperatures which I'm not sure if mik_os's kernel has this stuff unloacked , or does it only need to be rooted ?
Thx and I'm eagerly waiting for sugestions and recomendations.
I use Android Status. It has the graph you're looking for and the percentage of usage. However, I don't think the graph shows data before the time you started the app. I'm guessing you're looking for something like a log, right? With the average frequencies and stuff for a given time?
Does it also read temperatures?
Hey guys!
Have a little question my battery drains down during night from 85% to 35 % don't know why.
Have checkrom v6 and neak kernel with undervilting. What can be the fail. It went into deepsleep but "Android Os" is working all time?? 16 hrs lifetime and 10 hrs cpu usage very strange

Install BetterBatteryStats & let it run overnight again. You've obviously got wakelocks keeping the phone awake & causing the drain. BBS will help you identify these.
You can find it in the thread on here or on Google Play.

have installed BetterBatteryStats now.
i need to look at the "Partial Wakelocks" ? or where can i look for?
//
is there any problem? have made some screen captures !
You need to let your phone run for a reasonable amount of time to get meaningful stats from BBS (6-8 hrs/overnight in your case given the drain is happening overnight).
Edit to add - Yeah, partial wakelocks are where you need to look. Just having a quick look at those that alarm clock you're using obviously has a few, as does GTalk (doesn't mean you're actually using GTalk, this means something on your phone is/was trying to communicate with Google servers, and Facebook service as well.
I recommend having a look at the BBS thread on here & if necessary post your screen shots there. Guys who post there regularly will be more likely to be able to give you specific help than me.
Further edit to add - Don't waste time/money with 'battery calibrator software'. Everyone (should) know(s) it is not possible to 'calibrate' an SGS2 battery Also, Google have confirmed delete battery stats does exactly that - deletes battery stats. Nothing else. Has no bearing on/doesn't affect anything.
i can tell u the usual
try recalibrating ur batter through battery calibrator software wipe battery stats from cwm if u are rooted and try turning of 3g and lowering brightness
Have you tried a different kernel or cpu governor?

Hie guys, I just woke today to see my phone was off and when I switched it on the battery was @17%, from the battery stats in settings it shows my phone switched off after 2hours of me sleeping. So what can really make a phone lose 74% battery whilst it's OFF??!!
Help me or you can paste me a link to where similar problems have been discussed.
Thanx.

Download a battery calibration tool off the market and use it, I have had this happen to me before where i would lose over 50% of battery life just by restarting my phone, and it would gradually go back up.
Also check if their are any updates for your rom and os you are running

Probably a pointless exercise since it's been proven you can't "calibrate" the battery in an S2.
I've had something similar happen, I was raping my battery with a torch app then restarted. Before the restart I had about 90%, after it was around 30%.
Could it be a sign of the battery failing? I've not had any real problems otherwise..
Perhaps you have wake locks? Purchase better battery stats or download it using the search button.
A high battery drain is often a limiting factor for a great user experience.
With BetterBatteryStats you can analyse the behavior of your phone, find applications causing the phone to drain battery while it is supposed to be asleep and measure the effect of corrective actions:
- Spot drainers based on detailed information about the root cause
- Use the online Knowledge-Base to find how to reduce or remove the wakelocks
- measure the effect of actions to reduce drain
- detect changes in the awake/sleep profile and quickly find the causes (rogue apps)
I am using LGOG E970 ,stock firmware 4.1.2 jellybean , rooted.
I checked the battery capacity in android Tuner , and it's displaying the info as :
Voltage : 3995mv
Capcity : 1080/1500mah
battery flow : +197ma (+13.13%h)
AFAIK , the battery capacity of LGOG is ~2100mah.
Was wondering , this could be a possible reason for higher battery drain in my case. or is it that the calibration needs to performed .
It's a brand new device.
AT version : 0.7.2
Thanks.
Is your phone going into deep sleep? I had a similar problem where I was loosing tons of battery and I found out that my device just wasn't ever going into deep sleep.

Will install a deep sleep checker app to see the results. How much drain should I expect if its not touched for 8 hours. 10% drop ??

I am not really sure. If left untouched without anything running for 8 hours. 10% sounds about right.

Really Android Tuner 0.7.2??? If so, that is pretty old. I'm using the latest AT free (0.12.7.1) and it shows 2100mA. The incorrect value may or may not represent a problem. There's an option in there to update the capacity (but only in the non-free version so I don't really know what it does). You might also want to look for some alternate system info app that reports the battery capacity and see what it says.
Battery monitoring tools have exploded in the past few months but Better Battery Stats is still the gold standard. Whatever you choose, you will probably find out that a lot of the stock apps keep your phone awake a lot and it's best to freeze whatever you can. Also, default settings such as sync frequency, location access and so on will also lean to the side of usefulness rather than battery life. With some tweaking you should be able to get it to a level you can live with.
The best I've been able to get is about 1.5% drain per hour when idle, about 36 hrs total between charges with light use, but that was with nearly everything useful disabled. Out of the box I was seeing 5-6%/hr when idle - ow!
Recently bought this device . Stock color os with latest build installed
last night I Installed GSam battery monitor n Accu battery app
The discharging speed while screen off was 2.6 percnt which is quite high..
dont know if these two app were the culprit which were running with notifications in the notifications centre ..
Screenshot attached..
???
I'm on the same boat - mine screen of discharge speed is 2.4% on S9 with stock rom
Would be good to find a way to troubleshoot shoot this
Standby battery drain is also quite high on realme UI.
