LCD Bleed.. which regions has it? - Xiaomi Poco F1 Questions & Answers

So I heard a probably false theory, but someone said the bleeding LCD is only a thing in a few regions. Is that confirmed?
Also, what did Xiaomi say about the issue, like did they acknowledge it as a warrantial issue, or just people started fighting with the sellers?
Thank for the info!
Ps.: Most other phones, you can find out about any issue. With the Poco, it is so hard to get details about hear problems for example... Weird.

I m from India, Bought the 6gb 128Gb version Yesterday (From Flipkart). Have been using it since last 24 hrs. No Bleeding issue at all.
Being a XDA member, I was not at all worried about any software flaws thrs always alternative for a software flaw, bt I was really worried about the Bleeding issue as it was a hardware flaw. Thank fully , My new device is not having any bleeding issue and the performance is top notch as per its price point.

Considering reports here, I would say it's safer bet to go with international, Pocophone branded version than Indian Poco. Mine is international, I have minimal bleed at full brightness visible only on dark background, but it's not something that bothers me at all.

Yes no light bleed on global models

There is no "china" model. There is the Indian Poco variant, and the Global Pocophone variant - that's all.

Will u pls attach the photos taken with full brightness with the power menu or grey background ...As I'm also want to buy this device from flipkart.....Thanks Bhai

I had one early 128er global model with bleeding from below.... good to see in shut down menu.

Mainly In India and Indonesia region.

"POCOPHONE by Xiaomi" on the back, also some bleeding, not really a problem for me though

Pocophone bought from french seller (official Xiaomi partner).
I have this "Bleeding light party" to bottom (not on black or color background).

Poco F1 6GB/128GB - Made in India (LOL) Variant
-Bleeding Issue on both the original and replacement models
-Multitouch, Inaccurate and Delayed Touch Issue On Both
-Kika Keyboard installed while MIUI comes with Gboard
**Most Indian and Indonesian models have the issue.
**India doesn't manufactures phones but assembles them, while the parts are imported from China.
**India model is the global variant only the parts are imported in India and then assembled here and a useless "Made in India" sticker is attached on the box.
**Technically there is just 1 variant, India imports parts while other countries imports the phone and India runs the Global MIUI. Phones in China runs the chinese MIUI while the phones exported runs Global version, while the hardware is same.
**I guess the parts sent to India are of low quality.

Planing to buy Mate 10 64gb, few questions before I do it

Hello Guys,
I’m considering buying Huawei 10 (NOT Pro), but since it’s not officially available in the countries I spend most my time in (Poland and UK), I’ll have to get it from Chinese shop. Having said that, I have my concerns and I’d be glad if you could walk me through them. My apologies if some on those questions were already answered, but some of the feedback I’ve gather from this forum come from the “early days” of this phone and I don’t know if they are still valid. Let’s get to it:
1) Is the system in Polish language? It might be under “(…) and many more languages” but I’d like to know
2) I should be looking for version L29, correct? Are those “international” versions on sites like https://www.giztop.com/huawei-mate-10.html really international, or just Chinese ones with switched software?
3) My current phone is Oneplus 3 – and I admire the simplicity of almost-stock Android. How much off a detour is MIUI in comparison? Will I have to deal with a lot of bloating in the system?
4) Since there won’t be a version for “big” markets like US and UK – could there be any issues with updates? Will Huawei abandon the support for international version anytime soon – speculatively speaking? Or is it possible for them to introduce this phone to US/UK/PL, but later?
5) I’d be taking 4gb 64gb version, but I’ve been using 6gb phone for a while now – will this “downgrade” be visible in daily use?
6) I’ve seen some complaints about the camera. I understand it’s not “perfect”, but right now I’m using oneplus3+g.cam port from Pixel 2 – so I should still experience a bump in quality, right?
7) I want to buy it from this site https://www.giztop.com/huawei-mate-10.html. Is there any reason I should pick a different one/wait?
Thank you for all your future answers, and apologies for a longer post.
Cheers!
I'm in a similar situation. I'm planning to buy from eBay the international version. The sellers there are based in either France or Ireland, they say they give you a year warranty but crucially you have PayPal protection.
I've seen other sites where a minority of phones never turn up or are broken and it's incredibly hard to get the money back.

1 - I don't know for sure but it should be there !
2 - Yes L29 is the version you should look for ! You can get one from here https://www.ebay.fr/itm/NEUF-HUAWEI...234857?hash=item4b2e0e4729:g:41oAAOSwytJaE9rW that's where I got one for my uncle
3 - EMUI is very customised version of Android but with big possibilities for themes so you should be able to make it look as you want
4 - We can't be sure of anything in that domain ^^ I just left Samsung because of giving update slowly... But for sure as the flagship of the brand it should get update faster than others
5 - It'll not. Some may not agree with me but 4gb of Ram is largely enough today !
6 - As I'm not a professionnal I could not tell ^^ but for sure Mate 10 camera is amazing and will only improve with software update improving AI
7 - As I answered on 2, you can get it from dwi on ebay, I've took 2 phones from them (S7 dual sim and Huawei Mate 10)
I live in the UK and I bought the L29 version, it works fine and you can select the system language when you setup the phone. The only issue I found is HiCloud wouldn't work but I rebranded to the L09 version and everything works
To answer your point 6
I'm also using a ported version of the camera app on my previous phone which is a Xiaomi Mix and the phone is notorious for its very poor camera lens.
It surprises me totally what software can achieve where the hardware fails at.
Even on the ****ty camera, the software managed to capture IMO equal or more details as compared to M10 on the pro mode.
So at the end of the day. Your OP3 having a better lens than the Xiaomi Mix should experience probably equal or maybe seeing a 5 to 10% bump in details.
If there's ever a chance that M10 could have the ported camera from Pixel on our phone I'll definitely be a very happy man.
Hi jay. I too live in the UK and planning the buy the L29. Was the re branding just to get the hicloud? Or were there other features?
Thanks

Here you go my friend : https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/googl...amera-5-1-016-174405463-android-apk-download/
It's working on my Mate 10 Pro, imo it gives a little bit less blurriness and the photo is clearer in overall, sadly it lacks some features for our phone
Give us some results about photo quality please

Thanks for the link. I'm not referring to the stock Google camera but the exact one on the pixel phone.
https://www.google.com.sg/amp/s/www...gle-camera-hdr-customization-raw-support/amp/
It is the HDR+ that makes all the difference but sadly Google only enables it for the Pixel phone.
Hey sorry to jack this thread but whats the drawbacks of the Chinese version, bloat ware?? And wouldn't it get updates faster?
Also, wouldn't it be a better idea to buy the AL00.. 128 GB, 6 GB RAM Chinese Mate 10 version if you wanted to keep that 6GB of ram?
I just killed my HTC 10 with water so I'm thinking upgrading to the 6GB ram version would be a better move coming from 4GB. I just wish it wasn't so expensive lol 4GB international version is about $800 CND on ebay..

id like to know this too, also:
so which Huawei Mate 10 Pro 128gb version are you supposed to buy? there's L29 on ebay, L09 on clove uk website. handtec uk HM10P128TG, what's the difference between all of these? dual sim on amazon uk 128gb. L29 on wondamobile international version.
eglobal uk CN version. eglobal prices vary for 128gb version, why is that?
sorry so many questions!
essentially i'd want to root and custom rom, is there really dev support for this, I'm coming from samsung and devs have been a lot etc. im over samsung note series lol...
thx

Well that's the Mate 10 Pro, not the Mate 10, the Pro does not have an SD card slot. I don't know what the CN is but the L29 I had was for the Singapore market, so Huawei Cloud didn't work until I flashed the L09 Firmware

yeah I noticed it's the pro, tbh I wanted the finger scanner on the back. I'm going from a lifetime of sd card to no sd card. feel like I'd need a tutorial on how to go about that and backing up consistently lol....
think I can get away with no SD card
so how come they list an item with no model number?
also can you change the soft key buttons placements? move them into opposite spots etc lol?

Poco F1 Multitouch Problem Is Probably A Hardware Issue

I was checking out other phones that had this Multitouch issue, it includes Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro, Zenfone Max Pro M1, etc. Do you know what these all have in common? The IPS display, this is also cited by Beembom and since Xiaomi is not responding to any thread that's created for this issue, I suspect more and more than this is a hardware issue.
Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro still has this issue and it even is present on custom ROM's. The only phone that solved this problem was Max Pro M1, Xiaomi has not got the brains to solve it. MiA1 (my last device) that has a very inferior processor never had this issue, because it has a LTPS LCD.
Start reporting and ask about this before it's too late. Maybe they are waiting to make enough money before telling about this issue.
Since Xiaomi is not saying anything, I have already reached few reviewers and media companies to get Xiaomi's comment on this and have lodged several complaint against Flipkart and Xiaomi for this probable fraud because selling a device showing a point that the latest processor is being used and coupling it with a useless interfacing hardware is less or more a fraud.
I hope Flipkart/Xiaomi fix this issue (if it's a software issue) else refunds me my money.

Can confirm present on my redmi note 5 pro but haven't tried anything outside miui.
Is the display and touch response so bad that's to be real deal-breaker? Or is it common to all IPS display phones under 25k?
My POCO F1 order is in transit, and I was wondering whether I should cancel it before delivery. Please advise.

The only phone with IPS that had the issue fixed via OTA is Zenfone Pro M1.
Few Nokia 7 Plus has it too, but the company fixed those units via some repair.
Poco F1 seems to have this issue out of the box and is not even replying or making any statement regarding this, but it's their common attitude they even did this with mi4i, they launched Mi4i by saying it's a flagship, that time too I bought the phone in the first sale and the device had a major issue related to SD615 heating problem, in the next OTA they said that they have fixed the issue, you know what they did? they permanently disabled 2 cores and when users went mad over this, they reenabled the cores again and in the end the phone got so bad due to their bad optimization that I was getting 1 hour SOT after only 1 years of usage, it's the Mi4i thing all over again.

I understand it's a very lucrative deal, I have got the phone all packed up to return it or sell it. What I will recommend is, wait until they promise to fix it.

I used it for week coming from OnePlus 5t I felt screen was to lagging compared to 5t plus the UI has a lot of bug I know they will fix all bugs but if I were you I would pay the extra 200$ and get the OnePlus 6
For me, the intended usage was for 2 years with the phone. And if they have issues with touch and display (the most important and used tangible part of phone) it's not worth buying even if the deal is awesome. I currently use Lenovo P2, having an AMOLED screen, so not sure about IPS display and associated issues. Damn, I was really excited to get my hands on this POCO. Hope they will rectify it soon. But for now..... I have CANCELLED my ORDER.

Used rn5p for 6 months before selling off and buying this phone. Never had any kind of multitouch issue on rn5p, F1 however had the issue, got fixed after I turned off swipe to screenshot. As for lags, this phone HAS some weird problems like frame drops, but that's not related to multitouch issue.

The framedrop is actually the multitouch issue. When you try to aim while moving the screen seems to skip right? that's the multitouch issue and not framedrop. If you are having actual framedrops then that can be easily solved by an update while I am not sure about multitouch because I tried everywhere from Twitter to XDA, none of Xiaomi representative is replying about it.

According to the users on the RN5 subforum on XDA, the RN5 started having that problem after 9.5.6 or 9.5.14 update, they even migrated to Lineage but the issue still persisted.

where to turn off swipe to screenshot ?
You claim the multi-touch is a hardware issue, and blame the IPS display for it?
You DO realize that the IPS display and touch digitizer are two physically different components, right?
This thread doesn't make sense, it's unscientific speculation.

Of course they should have replied. As far as logic goes, I THINK it's a software related bug, also could be a hardware thing, most probably it's not.
Again, I think F1 has very sensitive to touch response, typing on this phone isn't quite ideal, as it detects my finger even 2mm above screen. Overall it's smoother than my usual rate, not quite ideal for ME, need to make the sensitivity lower.

Poco F1 Screen Bleeding Issue

I am planning to sell off my Nokia 7 plus and get a Poco F1. However, I have read a lot of complaints regarding screen bleeding issue.
Since you guys are already using the device, I would request you to kindly let me know how many of you have got a Poco F1 with screen bleeding issue.
Thank you!!
Their is screen bleeding. But it's hardly noticable

Since you guys are already using the device, I would request you to kindly let me know how many of you have got a Poco F1 with screen bleeding issue.
Thank you!!

I think the 7 plus is better than poco, except the processor. Yes the screen bleeding is real, but it's not that noticeable.

I also reqd somewhere that chinese smartphone companies use cheap motherboard in order to save money. And that's why most of their smartphones start having issues after a few days/months. I don't know if it's true. But my experience with Xiaomi was good till 10 months before I started having ghost screen issue on my Mi A1 and forced to sell it off. That's why I was asking.

I don't know about that, but my friend still use Mi 3 and 1st gen Mi Pad. He said that he never had any problem. The only issue I have about poco is when I got no signal coverage, after that I have to turn on and turn off airplane mode for the internet connection to work again. I heard that it's been an issue for xiaomi device for a long time. Oh, and the camera has no OIS, hoping that Poco F2 will have it.

poco f1 over one plus 6t or asus zenfone 5z??

I just bought poco f1 armoured edition instead of basic model of one plus 6t to save those 10000 extra . Now m seeing so many issue threads like ghost touch , display n notch issues, pubg etc. I also felt typing lag.
I wanted to ask learmed people regarding this are these bug software fixable and will xiaomi fix em in future?? If not i will have to sell this device if this is permanent hardware issue.
Pls guide
i don't know why u guys have issues with this phone maybe the Indian version have it i own 64gb global version i dont have any issue no bleeding screen no lag while typing and no ghost touch i use to play pubg and the problem in pubg 100% software and will get fix soon

M not talking about pubg issue... M talking about touch issue...is it hardware or software? Should i look forward to it being fixed? Can the typing be made more responsive by updates

Don't worry.. as far as I know all the bugs are just software..the fixes are already being tested.. ppl have reported that the latest global beta has fixed most of the issues
No need to sell it.. most of the bugs will be fixed
I have a Poco and even after MIUI 10, that bring to us improvements on touch, the problem still there. And it's horrible for fast typing.
So if I was you, at the same price, Zenfone 5Z would be the best choice. Of course One Plus 6T is even better.

I changed the keyboard its fixed and i dont face pubg issue after changing to miui 10. Sometime the screen is less responsive thats it. But its considerable worth 10000 less
My recommendation if you know what you're doing is to run Lineage OS 16. It's so much cleaner and smoother and has fewer bugs than the official software.

That's on you, because we don't know if this firmware will be available soon or not. It could take more than a month, we don't know. I'm happy to now that it was fixed in a beta firmware, but is not available yet. We will receive it anyway I suppose.

Redmi K20 and k20 Pro will launch 17th July 2019

Here are some informations from xiaomi India official Twitter

I heard that India version will be code raphealin, as they have same hardware. Do you think china version (rapheal) and India version (raphealin) will have the universal ROM package? Otherwise, can we flash rapheal to raphealin? I bought a China version before, and I'm afraid of that.

I think it depends on which bands are unlocked on the phone. I don't know if India and China provider share the same bands? The mi9t has different bands unlocked then the k20.
I think that will be named as anticipated K20 Pro. but they were advertising as k20 pro so who knows. Im just sure that software development wise they'll share the same stuff
I'll wait for reviews from early adopters. I have never owned a Xiaomi device before and I am only inclined towards this because of its AMOLED panel. If the quality isn't as good as OnePlus panels or if the device has issues itself like people faced touch issues on Poco F1, I might skip it completely.

They do mostly, you can check their respective band compabilities at kimovil .dotcom
I recon there will be differences when the global version is released, but for China and India they seem to be the same.
Would post link to the website but first 10 posts rule...

I've found the info on Kimovil.com to be out of date, though to be fair most sites I've looked at, which provide lte band info, are out of date. It looks like once they've added the info, they never bother to update it when carriers open up more bands on their networks. I now check the info on Wikipedia, it's more work, especially on a phone, as you have to trawl through massive tables to find the data, but the info is normally up to date.

I was initially planning to. BUT it is not a pre order. That voucher does not guarantee you early or separate or priority access for buying. And in India it will be very difficult to even buy one once it goes up for sale. It will be out of stock within seconds, thats the problem. And this Alpha sale, will only block your money in a online seller Flipkart or Mi.in . That is useless. I was atleast hoping for a separate access for those who make the payment now.

I don't think that's the case. AFAIK only people with Alpha Sale pass will be able to order a unit on the launch date 17 and 18 and all the others can do so post 23rd onwards. If this is the case everyone with the alpha pass should be able to secure a unit without any flash sale.
Let's see and wait for the launch on the 17th, I'll share my experience if I am able to get my hands on the pro
Sent from my OnePlus7Pro using XDA Labs
It got released at 28k was expecting it to be 25k. Overpriced. Hadd good expectation from this phone but ... it is better to go for One Plus 7 that has no bloatware, good UI, fast android update and no ADs
Are the adds really that annoying ?
It's been a long since I've used MIUI so asking about it. (been using OP 3T until now...which got broken recently)

Yes it is too annoying. I bought a Redmi note 7 recently, i feel i have no control over my phone. MIUI is a s**+. This is my first time using a MIUI. You have can't even debloat your phone, unless you root it/install TWRP in it. You have to disable ads everywhere in each app individually, but still ads pop up. I faced problem of even changing default browser, music ,video player etc... Its messed up. You better stay on pure android UI device (like that of one plus/android one phones), that will make your life peaceful. I need to switch to google pixel rom in my phone.

Why do you feel its overprices? I agree that K20 is overprices but I feel the K20 Pro prices are fine for the features they are offering. But I am curious to know why people think K20 Pro base variant is overprices? Just because it has MIUI or the Redmi brand has an image of being cheap and people can't digest a higher price from this brand?
And i agree, ADs should die on MIUI. It's ridiculous now.

Agree with you. I was more hopeful after Pcoc F1, redmi would be targeting the mid tier .. And price aggressively like 24-25k for K20 pro and 19-20k for K20. Its only that expectation that made most of us think that it is overpriced
I booked K20 128gb 6gb varient will be getting on. 23rd

Samsung just released A80 with Snappy730G and the price is an eye-watering INR 48K. That's ridiculous.
I am sure Poco F2 won't come this year. If it does, it'd be with a 730G or 730 chipset. No way Xiaomi is releasing a competitor to K20 Pro from one of their own sub-brands.

If anyone has an Indian K20 Pro unit, I would appreciate if you can post your initial impressions and IF this still comes with Xiaomi ads.
