Hello
Is there a way to disable the swipe down search feature on the home screen? It's annoying and I set it off every time that I bring down the setting tiles (wifi, Bluetooth, etc); and I don't use it.
Thanks

I assume that you're saying that it's part of the stock launcher???
Is there a way to disable that, is what I asked.
Yes, it's part of the stock launcher. I didn't find the way to do this without replacing the launcher.

I noticed that when I hold down the home button of my Xperia Z Ultra, a semi-circle pops up and shows a round "Google Now" icon in the middle of the semi-circle. Is there anyway to add more icons on the circle? Or even to change it? Your kind help would be most appreciated. I can't find the answer anywhere.
Nope, not unless you're running a custom ROM (as far as i know). Are you constantly swiping your finger up from the home button though? I can't really see how that's possible

Need to root and then install xposed framework and install per-app-dpi module.

Hi
Is there a way on a non rooted, stock launcher phone to hide the additional camera modes?
I don't think they really need their own icons.

go into settings, apps, all apps, and disable them one by one
But won't that then disable them from being used

You just have to love this kind of answers.
He clearly said he wants to hide app icons, your suggestion will disable apps totally and he won't be able to use them.
@TheMathMan
*** no mate, no way to hide apps in stock launcher, on stock unrooted device ***
On rooted device you can hide them using Xposed modules.
Only way to hide icons you don't need in app drawer is to use another laucher.
If you want something similar to Xperia Home launcher you can use Advanced Xperia Launcher - it's quite similar to stock launcher but it has many advanced options...

That's what I thought unfortunately. I don't want to root until you can back up TA did to video unlimited DRM loss

Hey, didn't mean to be anything but helpful here. A question was asked, and that's the only way to accomplish what he wanted, with the circumstances he gave. Also sounded like he'd figure out that disabling them would.... disable them.
I am using Nova launcher, I can double tap screen to turn it on no issues.
I saw that with the v10 you can double tap the screen to shut it off as well. If I use the LG luancher it will turn off with double tap, but when using nova double tap will not shut off.
On the lock screen it will doubletap to turn off.
Any suggestions on how to get this feature working using nova?
my att v10 works with nova. double tap at top of screen
Use the screen off and lock app, and create a knock gesture in Nova Settings attached to the app

I haven't heard of that app. I will look it up. Thanks.
Download this app and set it up, works perfect for Nova double tap to turn off on any phone I've used.
If you entered the hidden settings at all..then it breaks the knock on. Pretty stupid bug to make it past testing

What I've found on all LG devices is that the Knock On feature works all the time. Knock Off on the status bar works all the time as well. Knock Off on an empty space on the Desktop seems to be specific to LG's launcher.
As was mentioned previously, the best way to replicate that with Nova Launcher is to install the "Screen Off and Lock" app and assign it to a double-tap gesture in Nova Launcher.
I'm using double tap for another app with Nova, never did anything special, it just worked from the start.

No sorry. Hidden settings within the phone itself by doing whatever that code was. I only did it once and me and few other guys confirmed it in another thread.
Enter service ..hidden.. Menu..it crashes...knock on stops working . i am using stock launcher
Doesn't work on my TMo V10...I like the feature so I am using the LG launcher.

I use screen off and lock to swipe up from the soft keys instead of Google now. Works in just about every screen, not just home
Install this:
Than set this in Nova Prime:

Are you talking about the Developer settings? If so, I've gotten into on mine and knock on and off still works.
Can you delete individual apps?
I tried to swipe them off to the garbage but that doesn't work. I only seem to be able to remove all at once.

Yes I can swipe them off, are the apps locked? Can you swipe them down to remove that should unlock them if they are locked

No if I swipe them they lock. swipe again and unlocks.
Using Nova but same problem with stock launcher.
EDIT: Dumb me I didn't try swiping up.
Thanks for the reply, made me try again.
Hey Guys,
I have been using the Mate 20 pro for a month now and I was wondering if anyone knows how to activate that option where newly installed applications are sent straight to my screen rather than remain in the drawer until I create a shortcut manually. I cant seem to find the option in the settings.
Thanks
Yes you use Nova launcher, then you can switch it on in the Home Screen Settings section. ?

This settings for Home shortcut is there if you use Drawer home screen style, not Standard. If you use Standard home screen style all newly installed apps go on the Home screen, because there is no drawer.

I'm using Nova launcher, I have this switch off because I arrange all my applications in the drawer in to folders, tools, social, banking ECT. And frequently used apps on the home screen.
