Just want to ask, does every android with USB OTG can use MHL to connect to hdtv? Because i have Lenovo Ideatab a3000 and i wanted to connect it to my tv via MHL but i dont want to buy the cable without knowing this compatibility.

This thing looks good on paper and tronsmart means good support software wise. I ordered the dual band one a geekbuying release on 3/28

So, how is that think with youtube videos via XBMC? Or plugins like Spotify or WDR Video?

I was thinking of using this for in my truck with my appradio 3 (stuck with a S4 and can't get it to work with ARU after many hours of dinking around with it)
I saw someone mentioned they rooted this, what root did you use (I would imagine root access isn't available out of the box.
I noticed this has a wall plug and I think I saw it was a 5amp input, can I just splice a usb power cord into this and use that? (sorry if that is a stupid question, I honestly don't know.
If anyone has a better suggestion for a rootable android stick I can use with arunchained and my appradio 3 I am also very open to the help, so frustrated after all the work I did, I'm getting bent over my samsung's knox... can't think of any other way of getting this to work until my contract is up and can get out of this phone

OTG works fine. But it has low power, Note3 has about 1A output power, OPX has maximum 400mA. Some devices may not work like FIIO E10k DAC or hard drives without external power supply.
Yup, it works. just enable OTG in Settings / Storage Menu as stated above. Even tried few OTG pendrives and worked fine.
