Anyone use a quick charge power bank to charge P10 before? I tried to use the PINENG power bank, it says support QC 3.0 but when I use it to charge my p10, the speed is same as normal non-QC power bank output.
I even use the original cable where my phone shows super charging when I use the cable with the original charger.
Any advice on this?

P10 is not QC 3.0, they use another system called supercharger. I think.

This is basically correct. The P10/P10+ (& all the P9/Mate9 etc variants before it) do not use Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology (QC2.0/QC3.0 etc). They use Huawei's own "FCP Fast Charging" technology in 2 variations... Fast (9V2A) and Super (4.5V5A) charging.
Certainly for mains wall chargers, you can only use Huawei's own branded chargers at the moment (the Super charger one that comes with the P10 or Fast charger ones available from various places online)
For portable batteries (Power Banks), until quite recently, only the Huawei/Honor 10000mAh Power Bank would Fast charge the P9/P10 etc ( https://www.vmall.eu/uk/huawei-10000mah-quick-charge-power-bank-black-ap08q-299470/) , however it appears that the Tronsmart Presto 10000mAh Power Bank ( http://www.tronsmart.com/products/tronsmart-presto-10000mah-quick-charge-3-0-power-bank ) will now also Fast charge as well. There are no Super charging Power Banks yet available.
The only Fast/Super car charger currently available is again Huawei's own... http://consumer.huawei.com/ae-en/mobile-phones/mate9/html/Accessory.htm
If you use a Qualcomm charger/Power Bank you'll only get, at most, a 5V2A charging rate, considerably slower than Fast or Super rates although certainly not that slow.
I hate using fast chargers for built in battery, batteries degrade faster, I am using my old samsung note 2 adapter with a good quality china cable with a type C adapter, although not fast charging, the charging rate is consider faster than most phones I used.

Old thread, but hey.
I used my Note 4 with fast charging for 2+ years now.
Battery barely degraded.
(I bought a new battery from Samsung, and well, I realized that battery life indeed was horrible since forever on this device.)
Thing is, batteries die after certain recharges and time. No matter how slow you charge your new S8+ for example, it will need a battery replacement by Samsung after 2-3 years.
Fast charge is also only used (any brand) if the battery can take it.
I have original huawei powerbank 10000mAh. I charge my P10 with original usb cable. P10 show "quick charge". When i use non original usb cable then show "charging normal".

I have the AP20Q and it's certainly worth it. Charges my P10+ from nothing to full in about an hour, and gives me about 40% after 15 mins. . its a tad heavy at 374g, but 100% a life saver! BTW... Added bonus, it comes with a small thin 30cm USBA => C charging cable that also supports fastcharge on mmy P10

Neither to be honest, they're Qualcomm quick chargers, you'll only get standard 5V2A charging out of them not fast (9V2A) or super (5V4.5A) charging.

The only car charger which will Super charge the P10 is the Huawei AP38.
Don't know what country you're in, but this is the link for Amazon UK https://www.amazon.co.uk/Huawei-Super-Charge-Charger-Cable-Black/dp/B06XQTYRC4

Blitzwolf BW-S9 mains charger supports FCP.
Sounds like chargers with one of these tech might be able to fast charge the Huawei (Power IQ / Ai Power / Smart Technology / VoltiQ / iSmart 2.0) at 9V 2A.
For instance i have the Aukey QC 3.0 car charger that seems to have AI power and it fast charges by Honor V 10.
https://www.amazon.com/AUKEY-Charger-Charge-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B01KZHKF4I
I have a QC 3 wall charger from Aukey and a Easy ACC power bank also with QC3.0 but neither of these fast charge my phone.
I bought the Huawei AP08Q. Feels like great build quality.
I have a P10 and when charging my P10 with my AP08Q I don't get the "green light" that is supposed to show up if I quick charge.
How do I know if it's fast charging my P10 or not? Any way to check my phone to see that?

Xiaomi 2C 20000 FCP works
I confirm that Xiaomi 2C 20000mah power bank supports FCP as stated in it's specs. Works with my Huawei Mate 9 in fast charge mode.
You can't go wrong with it with it's price of 25$ and weight of 350g.
Hi! I'm aware that QC 3.0 powerbanks do not fast charge the mate 10. I'm also aware that Huawei has 2 variations... Fast (9V2A) and Super (4.5V5A) charging. Does anyone know of powerbanks that SUPER charge the phone (not just Fast charge)?
The main one I've seen recommended is the Huawei AP09S - but this is no longer available in most places, and where it is available, the price is around £60+ with a long delivery time. so not worth it. Are there any cheaper alternatives that people have found?
I found this article: https://www.androidauthority.com/power-banks-huawei-phones-823403/ But I think maybe that writer is not aware of Fast charge and Super Charge, and is just listing powerbanks capable of Fast charge? I'm looking for Super charge. Thanks!
There is only one powerbank with supercharge, the AP09S you already mentioned.
I got mine from tvc-mall: https://www.tvc-mall.com/details/hu...or-huawei-p10-mate-9-black-sku101705094a.html
Someone wrote about the Mi Powerbank 2.0 supporting supercharge, which is not true.

hmm that's what I was worried about. It's adding to my list of regrets after buying a huawei phone. I'm in the UK, and TVC Mall are quoting $200+ dollars to ship it to my location. Elsewhere I've found it for ~$85- $105 but shipping is slow and its a rip off compared to the fact that QC 3.0 powerbanks can be had for $30. In that case I will probably have to go with a powerbank that supports Huawei Fast charge, and not supercharge, like the ones listed in the android authority article. Do you know how much slower it is than supercharge?

Yes I think I may have to settle for a Fast charger at this point, although it would have been nice to have the fastest! Do you have one yourself?
FWIW, there are two listings on eBay UK at the moment, both from Chinese sellers (so yes, delivery will be slow - but at least postage is free);

The Huawei power bank does both, supercharges the phone and supercharges itself. I think other powerbanks fast charge the phone, but do not fast charge themselves (as far as I know)

Thanks! Although postage is actually £10 in both of those, making the total cost £60, which is triple the price of equivalent QC 3.0 powerbanks, which seems like a rip-off to me! There is a video where the guy points out that it says "fast charging" on the Mate 9, so the powerbank probably does not support SuperCharge.

Fast charge should get you from zero to 100% in three hours or less, so it's not quite as bad as most people think. Just stay away from the old 5V/1A chargers!
I have to say I'm more than a little miffed by the lack of AP09Ss on AliExpress at the moment - nothing listed and all previous listings have been pulled. Don't know if they're in short supply, if Huawei's clamping down on non-retail sales, or if they've found them too expensive to post. I'll keep an eye out for them; I'm happy with my generic QC3.0 power bank at the moment (and ecstatic with my Huawei SuperCharge car adaptor), but wouldn't mind a SuperCharge power bank if I stumble on one at the right price (i.e., less than the current asking prices).
I guess the AP09S will hit European markets soon.
I saw aGerman seller shipping directly from Germany:
https://www.ebay.de/itm/Huawei-1000...542274719?clk_rvr_id=1439463082090&rmvSB=true
Also, Amazon.de has it listed with price directly sold from them, but not in stock:
https://www.amazon.de/dp/B077TB39W5...de-21&linkId=60427f6a94ffbb08e525910cfb93d18a
Tried to buy one from https://www.tvc-mall.com/details/hu...or-huawei-p10-mate-9-black-sku101705094a.html, have been told it is a problem to send it to US.
Is it?

Lol. Just use your phone for a while i think coming from the note 8 you will be surprised how little your need for a powerbank will be.
If you already have a powerbank keep using it. I think the price is not worth the little improvement.
I have seen it is available on amazon.co.uk. alternatively you can have a look on ebay - it should be around 50 pounds.
Hi,
I'm looking for an affordable Powerbank with Supercharge (Huaweis Fast Charge Protocol). Any ideas?
The only one I'm aware of that Supercharges is Huawei's own AP09S 10000mAh Power Bank. (https://consumer.huawei.com/en/accessories/ap09s/) Not cheap, but good quality and worth it in my opinion (I have one). Not widely available though, so google is your friend!
One or two around that Fast Charge though and these would be a bit cheaper and still quite quick to charge the P10, just make sure any fast charging power bank you are considering supports Huawei's Fast Charging Protocol (FCP).
I'm using Pineng 10k slim version. it doesn't supercharge my phone but it's capable of charging at 1.8A which is good enough for me.
Thank you guys!
I'm I reading this wrong or isn't this SuperCharge compatible? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Yoo...ry-5V-9V-12V-USB-Dual-Mobile/32813258983.html
The Mi Powerbank Pro supports Huawei FCP. Make sure you get it direct from Xiaomi or buy from a legitimate reseller and make sure it's the version with the round USB cable, not the flat one. Any with flat cables are the first version that does not support Huawei!
I bought one in China from a Mi store and works perfectly fine with my P20.

Wrong, as I said in post 2 above, Huawei's own AP09S 10000mAh Power Bank will SuperCharge.
I had in the mind the ones with acceptable price range. And the charging speed difference is not so huge between them.
I'm starting this thread as a reference for people who might be interested in where to purchase a fast charger for their phone.
I'm currently struggling to find any information about where to buy a fast charger, since I bought the Neptune Blue version (12GB/256GB) and the only option was an EU charger, although I need a UK one. I know that we can use adaptors, but that's not a long term, optimal solution.
So I have a couple of questions for the good people in here:
Does anyone know where to buy original Supervooc 50W charger ?
Any recommendations on similarly charging 3 party chargers ?
Does the OnePlus Warp/Dash chargers work for the X2 Pro? Any tests on that?
Please do not hesitate to add your experience with Oppo's proprietary charging technology.

Here I am! Proud owner of a OP3 since 3 days ago, switched to a 12/256 x2 pro.
I just tried, as per your request, to use the Dash op charger and in the home, I get the VOOC logo while in charge. Not that bad, but definitely not a superVOOC. It charges the phone quicker than any ordinary, yet overvolted charger, but not comparable to superVOOC.

Almost 40 seconds per percent, so definitely not the 30min for the 100% announced.

Yup. Just made a comparison among the dash charger and the original one.
Realme charger (SUPERVOOC) : max throughput of 1850 mA @ 4,25V
Dash charger (VOOC) : max 1470 mA @ 4,23V.

Yes, sure. In the lock screen, with the charge percentage which fastly increases by step of 0.01.
I read about your power shortage and IMHO it could be a cause of damage to these chargers. Try to do as follows: install Ampere and compare your results with mine ( just posted a feedback to another user). I set the phone in charge while the phone is already @80% of charge remaining. Don't know if in case of discharged battery the charger pulls additional current in the first minutes, I'll try this out.
I don't think Ampere gives proper readings for Dash/VOOC. You're recommended to use the engineer menu (usually *#808#) but that doesn't appear to work on the Realme X2 pro (CN version).

Off course you can, but don't expect any VOOC neither superVOOC performance.
So seems UK version is non-existent. Great.
Does anyone know which adapter would allow the full capabilities of the VOOC charger?

Dash charger is 20w. GSMarena said X2 Pro supports QC up to 18w.

Solution for V8 SuperCharger for Realme X2 Pro
Does anyone know where to buy original Supervooc 50W charger ?
Ans: Obviously from Oppo or Realme's official Stores and website. Do not trust Ebay or Amazon completely for that matter.
[*]Any recommendations on similarly charging 3 party chargers ?
Ans: SuperVooc is Oppo's tech but I guess original one from Oppo might be costly as compared to Realme.
[*]Does the OnePlus Warp/Dash chargers work for the X2 Pro? Any tests on that?
Ans: Works. 30w in also enough but it takes the usual 62-72 mins from 3% to 100%. Tested result. Also why won't u charge it fast in 50w speed rather than 30w,when both wattage results in pretty similar heating.
Note: Tested verdict. Any fast Supercharge tech will surely generate some heat and surely demands a battery change after 2-3 years depending on use. My 3 years+ old Oneplus 3 just had to change Battery. So I guess with 50w for Realme, its battery will run buttery smooth for max 2 years and upto 3 year with minimal use.
Ans: Obviously from Oppo or Realme's official Stores and website. Do not trust Ebay or Amazon completely for that matter.
Any recommendations on similarly charging 3 party chargers ?
Ans: SuperVooc is Oppo's tech but I guess original one from Oppo might be costly as compared to Realme.
Does the OnePlus Warp/Dash chargers work for the X2 Pro? Any tests on that?
Hope I answered upto your expectation.
Please do not hesitate to add your experience with Oppo's proprietary charging technology.

Will surely work. My Mi Powerbank 10000mah 2i normally delivers 5v,2A. But will charge slowly, mine takes almost 1hr 28 mins from 12%. It surely extends battery life but is pretty slow. If u can wait that long, you can charge

I bought the 50w Chinese oppo one from eBay but it doesn't give 50w to the realme. Haven't measured the charge but it's noticeably slower
Maybe try the original cable with it.
ah you look on Aliexpress?
Hello XDA,
I own a Google Pixel 6 and I'm looking for the powerbank that charge the fastest the Google Pixel 6.
I read that the battery need the PD 3.0 and the PPS.
I'm located in Europe (France) but as long as the website ships to France, I'm interested.
Because for the moment, I only found Australian and American websites that doesn't ship to France or products are no longer available
PS : I own a "Charging - Dual USB 12V Car Charger" from Quadlock :

I'd like to know if it's the fastest car charger for the Pixel 6
It has 18W.
Thank you in advance.
I am also in EU (Bulgaria) and bought the xiaomi 50w 20000 mah power bank. It can both charge and be charged at 50W which is great. If it is available in France check it.

I have several of the ROMOSS Sense 6PS+ series. It only supports 18W (USB-PD) but is really fast. Do you really need the extra 3W?
Sorry, I just checked and they are hard to find now. But I would definitely recommend ROMOSS, none of mine have been faulty. The only problem is they do sell a lot of different models and the specs vary wildly, so you do have to check them carefully even if they look the same

I would prefer 3W of more but 18W it's fine.
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find a Romoss powerbank in my country
Thank you anyway !
