Bug with Dolby Atmos - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Questions & Answers

I just found a bug with Dolby Atmos.
I'm using a bluetooth headphone and everytime that I turn it on I need to turn off and then turn on my dolby atmos for it works (I can do it just pressing the button on notification panel or going into the audio settings)
I let it always on but I noticed that even if it's on, it isn't...
I talked with a friend and he has the same problem.. Anyone having this issue?

Do the actual Dolby icon get grayed out and you have to toggle it back or ?

I have this bug after using Bluetooth headset and reconnect too. Thanks for pointing out that I can have the Dolby Atmos switch in the pulldown notification area. It's an annoyance but this is the best option you gave. I too have to push it twice. Before I found your topic I had to go to advanced audio settings every time I connect the headphone over Bluetooth, now only twice a button.
I have the Galaxy tab S5e from 2019 update from August 2019

Go to Bluetooth devices, then Advanced, then Disable 'Sync Media Devices Volume'. Seems to be the workaround.

CM11 and tasker

I think I'm being stupid in this one but iysbdriving me mad!
I'm running CyanogenMod 11 and using tasker beta 4.3b11 and the sound /silent mode doesn't seem to function correctly. Or so it seems?
When I have a task to change the silent mode the ringer and notification volumes are adjusted as I'd expect...too no sound and vibrate on.
However the symbol that is shown in the pull down quick settings is that of silent mode, i.e the speaker with a line through it.
But according to the pop up volume panel it is set to vibrate or to sound on
Am I being daft and missing something?

Did anyone know an alternative way to switch boomsound to music mode? (CM13)

When I install cm13 marshmallow rom, the touch sound is weird, I have tried taking the audio (root/system/media/audio/ui/Effect_Tick.ogg) out and putting it in another device but it sounds fine. So I think the problem is from boomsound in theatre mode. So please tell me a way to switch boomsound back to music mode (turn off the surrounding effect). Thanks

bluetooth volume boost

hi, is there an app that acctually works and boosts the volume for bluetooth ear phones??
my x820 is rooted
thx

Just enable Dolby ATMOS.
Bluetooth is a digital signal. Your headset needs to boost the volume not the phone!!

yeah found and applied everything, but i think beside giving more effects and bass , the volume and the output level stays the same
guess MerlijnD is right, its up to the earphones to do the job
thx anyway
In viper you have Bluetooth tab. Did you change dB in there? Also did you activate expert menu? Then you can apply irs filters wich gives a real punch in volume , try joemeck irs. By the way i tried all with regular earphones. I do not have any Bluetooth device right now.

Loudness equalization (volume normalization) app/mod for android?

Alright, I'm not an audiophile & I wouldn't know what those many sliders in equalizer apps do, but one of the first things I do when I setup windows in a new laptop is tick the Loudness equalization option. What it does is it reduces the volume of incredibly loud videos, increases the volume of low volume videos and I never have to fiddle around with the volume settings from video to video just to get it equally loud. Is there any similar mod for android that would allow me to normalise volume systemwide? I'm using a rooted Kenzo Xiaomi redmi note 3 with MiUI lollipop 5.1.1.
looking for that too

Use Dolby Atmos. It has a volume leveler feature. I'm using the Magisk module Dolby Atmos r6.5b by Yash98. Worked extremely well.

long press it..
It's greyed out because it's always on when utilising the speaker.
Since this update. My speaker quality went distorted and soft, the two events might not even be related. I can barely hear a voice note now. And my phone is distorted and inaudable as it rings.
No water contact, no exterior damage, no drops or bashes.
sigh, does anyone else, perhaps also have this issue?
