I've faced this problem several times, many people don't like to lose their data, in most of the cases, I use tools such as miraclebox, but besides of this one, what other options do I have to, for example, remove the password/pin of a non rooted phone without usb debbuging enabled?
All I want to do is get in the phone without losing data.
go to setting then about then software touch on build 10 times or so. go back to settings developer options should now be visible. usb debugging should be seen here just tick it on. edit sorry didnt realize it was locked nor read fully

Have the same problem here too when I connect my S4 to my computer I always get the installer option. If I find something will let you know.
Try this thread in the S3 forum. I was able to reset the the options to MTP and it would work for a while, and then revert back to "installer". I'll keep playing with it and see if I can get a more permanent solution. I'm on MJ7 rooted, not sure if that makes a difference. If you're on another build, it may work for you.
Changing USB settings
Seems like it could work but cant enter this code to go into the menu from the dialer: *#22745927.

Tried it, unfortunately didn't work.
Still no solution?
I'm facing this issue too. Desperately looking for a solution. :crying:
this worked for me. reset to default settings in dev options.
then re-enable dev options by tapping build #
then re-enable debug mode
Hi,
I have an E5823 from a friend (sounds dodgy but is for real).
*. Phone is from Sweden and boots up with a 3 logo
*. I cannot enter recovery no matter what combinations of power and volume buttons i use
*. None of the codes (like *#*#7378423#*#* or *#06#) work
*. i don't know if the bootloader is locked or unlocked and cant find out.
Can anyone suggest any steps please?
have you tried using adb and fastboot from a pc?
I am trying but i cant get adb devices to recognise the phone. All drivers are installed. I suspect USB debugging is not switched on
However I cant into settings to turn on USB debugging mode. The phone is locked. I've bumped into the android FRP i think. My friend tried various accounts to unlock. No luck. I was his last resort to get the phone up and running again (i know this sounds suspect but it's for real)

Hi. Did you ever get this resolved? I am facing the same problem with my brothers phone. I can't get into recovery with any key combo and I can't get in to settings because it's locked and he forgets his PIN.
No. But i found a few YouTube videos that show you how to get around FRP
Hello guys.
I have a unique problem here. I have a Redmi Note 10 with a broken black screen. I want to access the phone to be able to backup all my files and if possible to use it with my PC with Vysor or Cast. Because I am still not able to repair the screen right now. And I would also like to have backed up my files before it is repaired.
So I've tried many youtube tutorials to access the phone but it seems none of them can help me because not only can't I see anything on the screen but also I have a very complicated pattern so it is impossible to guess the pattern with a mouse. The screen itself is dead so it doesn't respond to touch.
But I want to believe that I can be able to access my phone because my phone is rooted with Magisk and I'm running a custom rom - Crdroid version 8.9 Android 12. I also have a PC. I am able to get into Crdroid recovery when I press volume up + power button. I am also able to enter into fastboot mode when I press volume down + power button.
I'm stating all this because I want to know if there is any way I can be able to backup my files or access the phone with my laptop. I saw that one can be able to access their phone if Developer Options are turned on. Mine were turned off before the screen broke. Is there any way I can be able to turn them on in my situation?
Please help.
try to boot twrp in fastboot.
fastboot boot twrp.img
i think mtp is activated automatically. problem is if it will ask for the unlock pattern on twrp
Okay

So if I boot into TWRP, the computer will be able to read my files automatically?
i think there is no hope in your state...
complicated screenlock + fully dead screen + developer options turned off
if you had USB Debugging enabled you could use this software to use the phone on the PC like in the picture because i have a phone in the same status like yours but USB Debugging was enabled.
with twrp you can save your internal storage files but it will ask for pattern and you won't be able to access those files without unlocking it.
so i guess the only way is trying to guess the pattern with a mouse... i know that will be really hard but is the only thing i can suggest.
otherwise just take your phone to a repair shop

Okay. I guess I'll just take it to the repair shop then since it's impossible to guess that pattern. Thank you for your reply.

Okay. Thank you.
It all happens because I wanted to install android 14 with the tool called android flash tool, what happens is that the bootloader was blocked, and I did not activate the OEM unlock option, in the process of android flash tool I put my phone in fastboot mode and start the process of installing android 14, the tool unlocked the bootloader and I started the process, I downloaded the entire image, but there came a point where at the time of installing it the device rebooted and did not turn on again, I investigated on xda and it must be because the above mentioned did not enable the oem unlock option, now what happens is that when i connect the device to the computer and do the combination to enter fastboot mode or just press the power button, the computer makes a sound, as if it It will detect it, but that's all it does, it doesn't detect it, can it be revived or should I buy another phone?
Maybe make sure you got the right driver installed? My pixel used to do the same **** when I tried to plug it in the computer. Go into device manager and look in the portable device section. Or the universal bus section. If it's making a noise it's detecting it in some way just not the way you want. I had to uninstall one of my USB drivers completely to get it to work. Did you have USB debugging enabled or a screen lock?

It only detects it in the device manager as "Usb Serial Device (COM3)" and that is if you keep the power button pressed, but I just let go and it no longer detects it
Something is not right here.
There is NO tool that will automatically unlock the bootloader if OEM unlocking is disabled
