Proximity sensor after several approximations starts to work at a distance only of 5 mm.

When i call, often press a cheek the different icons.
Сhanging the firmware and test in engineering mode does not help.
On my seccond phone Redmi 6 the same thing.
How can i set high and low thresholds when sensor must turn on/off the screen?

Hello I bought this phone last week and I realized that there are problems with the proximity sensor. When I make a call the screen does not turn off the phone closer to my face. And after it goes out to set time off to end the phone call must again press the power button.
I tried also with Android rom 4.4.2 and the probleme is the same.
If I go into test mode by typing the dialer *983*0# there is no way to test the proximity sensor, accelerometer sensor only
Have you encountered this problem ? or phone does not have the proximity sensor

I am facing a strange problem with my LG V10, T-Mobile
When i call, the screen goes blank, and does not come back until i press the power button.
I installed AIDA64 and checked the status of the proximity sensor.
Its value is 5 as normal, it becomes 0 when i put finger on the proximity sensor.
The value of proximity sensor doesn't come back to 5 even after moving the finger away from the sensor.
Kindly help me to solve the issue.

The proximity sensor on my mate 10 pro seems to be very sensitive ,just slightly moving the phone when I am I the middle of a phone call and I accidentally put the call on hold , bring up the numeric pad ,mute the call or just hang up out of nowhere.
Is there a way to calibrate the proximity sensor? I tried the proximity sensor doctor app to recalibrate the sensor but without luck.
I test the hardware of mi Redmi 5 and the proximity sensor works well but when I make or receive a phone call the screen wonts turn OFF.
Has any body helps me to fix this issue?

Hi, I have 2 devices with MIUI 10; Redmi Note 4 (Android 7) and Xiaomi Mi8 (Android 9). Unfortunately there is the same problem on both. When someone is calling to me I can hear the ringtone but the screen has too low brightness to see anything (unless there is a night ). After 3-4 seconds the screen brightens up to the normal level. This is really frustrating.
