I suffer from lots of touch lags since I bought a poco f1 which was produced in August. However, I notice a recent news :pocophone-f1-fixes-display-issues/.
I wonder if any friends buy a newer poco f1 ( eg. produced in late Sep), and confirm this improvement? And I also want to know whether it's a driver improvement or just change the Novatek TouchIC to Synaptics TouchIC.
Well my touch is too sensitive for me. It recognize my cable from my earphones as ginger and sometimes it switches song this way. Bought the phone 2nd September

I also noticed this phenomenon. i think headphones jack is not grounded well. There is leakage of electricity from the jack.
Maybe touch latency is related to touch sensitivity, the edge area is less sensitive than center.
Jai Mani has also acknowledged the issue of high sensitivity of touchscreen: https://twitter.com/jaimani/status/1045945184398143489
Hopefully we get some closure on this issue soon.
i feel like when there are too many swipes on screen, it sometimes reads those and operates automatically, when i swipe right or left it registers as up

Hi all,
did someone noticed that mic level is terribly set to be very loud while recording a video?
I had HTC One M7 and i've been able to get clear sound from big concert, i bought Z2 and yesterday we did some singing with guitars in pub and on the final movie it sounds terrible, like those mics cant get that loud sound...
Any tips? Btw. i dont want to carry Sonys STM10 microphones...
Viki
Yeah, I got this problem too. I was in concert, tried to record a Feb seconds, just to try sound quality, and it's totally terrible. Do you know what to do with it?

I have no idea what to do with that :-/
It's possible that there's no way to fix it.

Yop...stupid Sony's mic management...
I think it's a software issue.
I've had this problem at two concerts, and even bars where the music wasn't even that loud.
Last night i tried at home. Played some music and recorded video.
The audio was again heavily distorted. Then I disabled all audio effects (this shouldn't matter I guess, but I tried). and disabled Noise cancelling headphones on accessory menu (they were not plugged in).
I recorded again and I didn't get nearly as much distortion.
I still don't know what's going on. I will try it again this week at a club and I'll see if it makes any difference.
I understand the Z2 doesn't have a double membrane mic (like the HTC one or other phones) so it's not going to be good for extremely loud music, but this is just too much. Audio has zero bass and is completely saturated.

Hi.
Have you tested with the other settings? And is there a change from record quality? The Sound is terrible in louder conditions, so any Solution will be appreciated.
Thanks
I've owned numerous nexus devices but I'm looking to see if I should stay with my z2 tablet or trade it for a nexus 9.
Any help my fellow xda-ers can provide will be greatly appreciated.
I've never used the z2, but I can tell you that the N9 has been a big letdown. Flakey volume/power buttons, lightbleed around edges of screen, CPU constantly overheating, extremely bad memory management that causes apps to constantly reload.
I had high hopes for the N9, but the hype never lived up to the reality.
I have one of the models made in Dec. 2014, so perhaps if you get one made more recently (after March 2015) your experience may be better.

My nexus 9 is weird and quirky, its not terrible, just weird. Plugged it in last night, woke up looked at it, it was at 38%. What the heck, I said! Restarted it and it was at 100%. Weird.
And quirky. I'd go with the z2
I have December '14 model, no light bleed, no problem with build quality, memory management and Temperature better since last OTA

Hi, I (perhaps mis-) understood that the F1 has dual left/right speakers below the chin. I noticed I only seem to be getting sound from the speaker grille on the right so I just tried a channel test, playing this clip.
The right channel played through the main speaker, the left through the earpiece (the output from the earpiece channel obviously being a bit puny). Is this the norm? (I guess I'm asking whether there are actually two speakers near the chin or just one)
Hope you follow my question
Yes. That's how it should be

Thanks for clarifying.
Bit of a shame the earpiece channel is so underpowered by comparison with the other, though I believe this is how loads of phones handle stereo
Hey, im looking for new phone and Pocophone F1 looks interesting. But when i read few threads here and on YouTube i have some questions mostly about screen. Is really touch screen and screen quality not good for newest games and movies? Now i have Le Max 2 and screen quality is superb and i haven't problem at all with quality or touch delay, but software and some things are just awful thats why i want to change Phone but not at all cost
I won't buy it until they fix the lag issue.

I'm in the same position as well... looking to get a Poco F1. Currently using a Oneplus One on Lineage OS... so the development community is essential and Poco F1 seems to be a good successor. Tried to jump to the Razer Phone, but as good as the silky smooth 120Hz screen is, the development community is lacking (and it doesn't support exFAT and Apt-X, both of which the Poco F1 has).
Played with the Poco F1 at the Mi Store for like 30min (tried to install gcam with night sight, but for some reason it would freeze up). The main thing holding me back right now is Widevine L1 certification. Once Poco can actually deliver on that, then I think I'll take the plunge.

not everybody has that prob
I also don't have any lag issues with my phone it's fluid and smooth and no problem at all with the hardware, the screen is good and I don't have these touch or bleeding issues .. Just buy a Chinese phone cause all these screen problems arises in these phones made in India due to bad quality control.

Well, you shouldn't bother about screen quality. Its one of the bests that IPS can offer. 720p YouTube videos have the same quality from 540p and XIAOMI alleged is solving this. You can test on YouTube. 480p and 720p videos on 6" screen have no difference.
Hi folks I'm in the market for another device and I'm stuck on the poco F1 or the mi 8 Lite both around my budget of £300 seeing as the 64GB 6GB poco is now £299 I'm obviously thinking it's a better bang for buck with the SD 845 over the mi 8 Lite SD 660 no contest in that department but of course the mi 8 Lite looks a better build smaller notch and generally nicer looking , can't decide weather to go with lower spec CPU with
more premium look of forget looks and have better specs ,,,
What would you do? Tia

By the time your new phone shows signs of wear and scratches or gets covered with screen protector and case, looks are not going to be important. Performance or whatever your main use for the phone is is your main long term importance.
The Poco F1 is £279 on Amazon uk at the moment. I have one of these in an unopened box waiting to be given to me at Christmas.
Black Friday offer of £241 for the Poco F1 in the uk:

Which month mfg? You can check this on the box
Where exactly i can check the manufacturing date on the box?
Check the sticker containing all the phone parameters, the manufacturing date is written in bottom right corner - like "20018 07" in my case.
